It's not like there are any conflicting plans, the tally just counts how many people put [X]s in for the same plan.
yeah, the tally has been messed up

AGAIN

howed it happen this time?

edit: errr...maybe not? looking back it actually does look like 6 people voted for that plan.....
really hope somebody comes up with a better plan....I know there doesnt SEEM like there is one, but this one seems likely to get us alot of mostly-pointless deaths.... and with the luck we have been getting so far in this invasion?

wonder if tzeetch is screwing with us and durin is hiding that from us (since we woulden't know) by decrementing some of our rolls and acting like that is what we rolled....

IE: turning a roll of 50 + (60 bonus) - 10 (tzeetch) in to 40 + (60 bonus)

Divide by block, rather than by line, and it works fine.

  • [X] Plan We're Screwed
-[X] (1) 1st Circle Archangyl: Slow- You could attempt to slow the progress of the 1st Circle Archangyl with your elites and minor heroes, buying time at the cost of letting it get closer to its goal and many of your best troops
-[X] (2) Target the Elite Angyls of the second 1st circle with Deathstrikes and Hold the Walls
-[X] (3) Outside Battle: Clear the way- Rather then fighting a battle outside the walls you could focus on clearing a path to allow the Lizardmen to reinforce Dis
-[X] Ridcully Help with slowing the Archangyl with his divination
-[X] Have your Seers continues to focus on the defence of Dis
-[X] Viktor Mineyev and the Black Irons (1)
    -[X] Astartes (2)
    -[X] Wraith Hosts (1)
    -[X] Aspect Host (3)
    -[X] Knights (2)
    -[X] Nulls (2)
    -[X] Psyker Hunters (3)
    -[X] Helguard (1)

Can we put our thunder warriors up to priority one too? I know they're not that many of them, and they might technically count as black irons anyway, but I think they'd probably be the best honour guard possible for mineyev.

Also, if he transcends, it'll just turn out he was a perpetual all along. So ironic we might even get narrative points for it to happen!

that would be hilarious.

BTW: anytime we find a perpectual we should try to buff their piety as much as possable. It becomes significantly more important that they can't get corrupted if they can live indefinitely.

Not as large a problem as I understand it, or at least forcibly corrupting one.

However, their natural perpetualness means that they're either mad or have strong wills (coming back to life is hard.)

hm...point, but I'd say that eternity has the equilvlent of +1000 when it comes to "will it eventually happen".....so....

and you really don't want perpectuals to get corrupted. I'm sure that chaos can do a pretty good job of buffing a perpectuals immortality status.

[X] Plan The Final Countdown
-[X] (1) 1st Circle Archangyl: Engage- By massing Avernus' greatest available psykers and warriors, including the ancient Threnody Dragon Parathunisxaris, you should be able to stop, and maybe even kill the 1st Circle Archangyl. This is certain to result in the loss of many of your heroes and will weaken your other forces considerably, but should be able to stop the progress of the greatest threat to Saint Lin's life
-[X] (2) Target the Elite Angyls of the second 1st circle with Deathstrikes and Hold the Walls
-[X] (3) Outside Battle: Clear the way- Rather then fighting a battle outside the walls you could focus on clearing a path to allow the Lizardmen to reinforce Dis
-[X] Ridcully Help with slowing the Archangyl with his divination
-[X] Have your Seers focus on slowing the First Circle
-[X] Viktor Mineyev and the Black Irons (1)
-[X] Astartes (2)
-[X] Wraith Hosts (1)
-[X] Aspect Host (2)
-[X] Knights (2)
-[X] Nulls (2)
-[X] Psyker Hunters (2)
-[X] Helguard (1)
-[X] Focus all ortillery fire on the Avernus' Spine region

The First Circle is maximum priority. Nothing else matters nearly so much as the First Circle. Everyone must focus as much as possible on the First Circle or we will suffer far more than we otherwise would. Attempting to have our cake and eat even a little bit of it will only result in greater, unnecessary pain.

Everything has to go into stopping the First Circle and it has to go into it at the start. That's when our numbers will be highest, when we'll have the supreme defensive advantage of the walls, and it'll come right after the deathstrike barrage. If we wait to deploy our heroes in the hopes that they might avoid combat, we are reducing our chance of winning the war for the sake of keeping our heroes alive.

Everyone here must accept the loss of some of our heroes. Don't hope or plan to keep them all alive; the time to do so died once the First Circle hit us. You will be making the wrong choice if you lower our odds of winning the war for the sake of possibly keeping all our heroes alive.

And finally, get the ortillery to focus on Avernus' Spine. None of the other regions matter or are even in as much danger as Avernus' Spine, so sparing ortillery fire for them is kind of a waste.

Two hours until our reinforcements arrive. One hour of fighting a First Circle. We can do this, but not if we employ half-measures.

Depends.

Most daemons wouldn't want to touch them.

The reminder that they're standing next to a walking daemon blender is a bit disconcerting for them.
why are perpectuals "daemon blenders"?

uhhhh. reminder to everyone that the other circles can ALSO do the ritual, they just have to do it in groups instead of by themselves.

I think you've misunderstood the situation. The Exalted that arrived here will do the ritual, and it is effectively impossible to stop it from completing it. It will succeed in bringing the other Exalted. After that, the first Exalted will fight off Avernus while the second, summoned Exalted attacks us and tries to kill Lin. All our options are for dealing with that second Exalted, not the first.

I thought durin said that the other circles can also do the ritual tho.

I think this stands a better chance then the other plan. It also doenst risk (much) of our particularly rare/hard-to-replace units/stuff.

I would think that it would be better (for them) to have the other circles doing it, since it woulden't weaken the 1st circle. They need the 1st circle at full power more-so then they do the other circles.
I think the First Circle is the only one powerful enough to do it in an hour. They only have two hours before the Ancient One arrives and wrecks face. Alternatively, the other circles are helping the First Circle get the ritual done as quickly as it's getting done. Lots of ways to explain what's happening here really.

Second circle would take a week and the Ancient One is 2 hours away from Dis, a massive group of Titan Scorpions 3 hours away and the Saurus legions 4 hours away, it doesn't have the time. It's either the first forcing the portal open or the second 1st circle and its forces not getting summoned, it's out of other options.
