Prototype tech that was literally just developed as a preproduction test bed

Yeah but you know if this was excessive Snake then he'd have a couple dozen of them on hand despite that. The people at Fulton R&D would have had a ton more funding and research data.

And I'm sure He'd be Fultoning away anything that moved here to give them more things to build them out of.

My biggest regret about my plan was that we couldn't have Ahab be the kind of guy to take anything not nailed down and then come back with a crow bar. That's what my Snake was like.

Uh... I didn't play Snake Eater so someone tell me if a perfect CQC sequence changes anything in the game.

From kona's hints, I kinda get a feel that Ahab is still going to be tossed back and then continue on as Mother Base and/or Afghan is tossed to VC world?

EDIT: Ah, as Nix explained it below, apparently if MOVES is picked, there is going to be a CQC dice roll to determine which Snake wins and puts the Fulton on the loser.

In Snake Eater, when you CQC fight The Boss at the end of the game, if you didn't time the button input just right, she would kick your fucking ass and send you flying.

So, at a guess, we'd have to roll dice to see if Ahab could actually CQC and stun Ishmael long enough to shove the wormhole fulton pack on him and activate it.

that moment when people vote to have ahab try to stop ishmael, but gets wrekt in cqc, and ishmael activates ahab's fulton. "sorry friend. not this time."

Honestly the grab Ishmael one should have an epic Philosophical CQC fight, if we lose it defaults to the big boss option, if we win we go ahead. :p

[ ] Activate the dimensional fulton and escape. One of you must live on and Ishmael has passed the torch to you.

That was epic.

It was awesome seeing the ghosts of the past showing up to wreck this things shit.

Also I think we should go. I'm worried if we start trying to play a game of save the other? It'll get away. Better to let him do it and make sure it's dead then muck around.

[ ] Try to save Ishmael, but lose in CQC, and Ishamel saves Ahab's life this time in return for saving his life previously and helping him see goodness in the world again.

Is this Possible @konamikode ?

[ ] Stop him, knock him out and portal him if that's what it takes, but Ishmael can't die here.

Even though I'd prefer to continue playing as Ahab, I simply cannot see him just accepting this. Whether he succeeds or fails is irrelevant, I just want him to try. I mean, honestly, this is the guy who tried to denuke the entire world even when everyone else thought it was fucking insane to even attempt it. Can any of you really see him just taking this lying down? To just kind of stop and say "oh, okay, I guess you've got this one," and activate the fulton?

The thing about being a hero... you don't get to pick and choose when to be a hero. If you're only trying to save people when it's convenient, are you really a hero? Or just an opportunist?

If Jack really want to be the one to do this so damn badly, he's gonna have to fight for that right.

Just checking (the narrative strongly suggest no and I totally get that) but could we potentially plug the Fulton into the Sandy and use it to power up the wormhole?
It's not power thats the problem. Its the fact that SAH must be manually piloted into the Lord of Dust to activate it's Nuclear self-destruct and whoever does so isn't coming back.

Thats what I mean with narrative. In a less narrative driven situation, the SAH could be walked over to and when close enough the boosted Fulton could be activated to evac the bosses and leave the SAH close enough for the nuke.

Can we actually do this? Please @konamikode?

When two Big Bosses disagree, it can only lead to an altercation.

Where both men are equal, the deciding factor is who has more grit or belief in their cause.

Or so shounen tells me.

No write ins for this one.

I wouldn't recommend it, no.

So maybe I'm just tired, but I just feel... flat from all this. I think you overdid it. At first, it made sense to have a solid reason for portalling to VC verse even if we were delayed from crossover but all this all at once? I'm not feeling it. I just want to move on now.
