[X] I have a strange relationship with training dummies and can summon them to aid me in battle.

Watching the vote, I feel like I'm observing a disconcerting health related pattern that pops up across quests.

See, there really isn't any reason for Daisuke not being able to cook. It's a pretty basic skill that most people can learn with a bit of effort and repetition. We also know that Dai is driven child and strives for excellence in all he does. So...

Did he never see reason get better at it for survival training?

Did he never see reason get better at it, even to help his single mother with the task?

Maybe he's just not good at it. But being able to cook, doesn't mean being able to make Fugo. There are a lot of dishes that can be made pretty good so long as you have decent products and a stove. Most people I know (even back when I was in highschool) would cook for themselves at least occasionally.

I've also noticed several authors just add this as a character trait and players always take it in stride, like they just assumed this... character flaw (?) as a given.

Please understand that I'm not judging any of you for your deplorable lifestyles and the obviously shameful choices you've all made to get here.

I just wanted to post this so that you know I'm objectively better than all of you. Feel free to continue with the discussion.

PS:

[X] I killed a man at 5 years old.

If you don't vote for the edgelord option, I'll assume you're all fat slobs and you're reading this with a bowl of instant ramen next to you. Come @ me! :p

[X] I am under constant watch for weakness from the Konoha Squirrel Mafia.

The training dummy thing seems very weird to me.

@Vesvius does survival training not include gathering and preparing food in the wild? Scratch that, we know he skinned rabbits in the academy, so is he just lying?

Survival cooking is separate from home cooking?

Though him lying about it adds another layer onto the social interaction.

He seems to be using literally all his time training other stuff, and cooking WELL isn't really critical to wilderness survival. Boiling/roasting to edibility is a far cry from cooking worth the name

[x]I only sleep 2 hours a night.

It's very interesting, it's relevant to the discussion and could be thought provoking, and helps the team get to know some of our unique capabilities. For example Kurenei knowing that as a sensei means she concoct a different training plan than for an ordinary genin.

I am actually a pretty decent cook myself.

Now I understand why Kurenai is our teacher. She is as much in love with herself as we are. It takes a certain kind of narcissist to need to look at yourself to sleep. I think she sees in our pinnacle appearance a common ground.
