Well I mean peoples votes were for Taijutsu and Kenjutsu primarily in story votes. It's a little indecorous to hijack the direction of the character over the wants of most thread participants isn't it?

I mean the reward XP differentials kinda speak for themselves.

Taijutsu: Journeyman (1550/1600) (Reward XP Invested: 160) 1390 xp from story
Kenjutsu: Expert (1600/3200) (Reward XP Invested: 979) 621 xp from story
Genjutsu: Elite (3250/5000) (Reward XP Invested: 2750) 500 xp from story

Not that I'm bothered to much by it personally, even if on a thematic level I'm not super fond of genjutsu.

Then you flick chalk back, you pull somekind of prank, you poke them in the eye during taijutsu practice or something, you don't use a Jutsu On A Fellow Konoha Shinobi Without Their Consent.
 
Superhuman Willpower, Charisma, and Empathy would be really helpful dealing with Mariko. Willpower doesn't need much, whereas Charisma & Empathy combined is a little less than 600 (300 each).

Alright how much for a perk to grant us defensive sleep-fu?

Auto dodging attacks on us and sweeping people's feet maybe putting them into a sleeper hold automatically? Lee has something like this in canon so it is available for high taijutsu skilled users.
 
Quick reminder for all:
Willpower is a mere 30 xp away from Superhuman, and may be useful for Daisuke to deal with Mariko.
It also would finish the achievement for getting all mental attributes to Superhuman.

Do we not have storage scrolls? We should get some of those and stuff them with ninja tools, we are starting missions soon and it's always best to be prepared.

I doubt that she would stoop as far as to stab us in the back. The animosity between us isn't enough for her to consider becoming a traitor for. This line of argument is pretty out there.

My tone came off as a lot more rude than I intended @Katsuragi and I apologize. You have the right to play under the rules of the game just like anyone else, and if anything you've simply been outproducing the rest of us, it isn't my place to criticize anyone or make them feel unwelcome in the game.

You mean like that time Naruto dog piled Sasuke with shadow clones and tied him up? Frankly, you don't know what kind of Jutsu she was going to use, but my guess wouldn't be something destructive.
 
You know, I gotta wonder. What Elemental Affinities does Kurenai have? All Jounin must have at least 2 Elements that they can use after all. I also wonder what branch besides genjustsu that she's best at. Honestly, it'll be interesting to see Ves' Kurenai.

The Wiki says she's a sensor nin/sensor type which is fucking useful. She can apparently use an Earth technique to hide in/tunnel under the surface for ambushes and travel, and apparently has some sealing knowledge going by canon on top of the various genjutsus that she does have.

This should be good.

When fighting Kisame, you don't go throwing ninjutsu around willy nilly, because A) He's going to outlast you, and B) It only going to make him stronger.

So even if you're a ninjutsu type, you change you're approach.

It's the same concept here- you don't attack your enemy where they are stronger and that's exactly what she did. Her enemy acknowleging she has skills is irrelevant to the fact she got lolnoped by using the weakest route she could have gone.

It wasn't playing to her strengths, it was playing to her enemies strengths by not being tactically flexible.

So you are indeed saying she should have tried to out kunai, out ninjutsu or out punch an Uchiha? I understand you are pissed off man, but I am fairly sure you are not thinking this through, everyone in that fight got lolnoped, Asuma was trying to out punch the sword user, and did nothing but get hurt, Kakashi's Ninjutsu did shit, only reason he wasn't useless was his Sharingan, and it only mamaged to get him tsukuyomi'd.

By your metric pretty much all the options we have where shit, because they couldn't beat two S rank ninjas that otuclassed them in every way .
 
We're actually not a ninja officially ATM. Since we didn't pass no test yet. Honestly wondering what will happen if we fail. Do we have to really spend an other year at the academy or will we be kicked out and have to pursue a civilian career? Do we get a new team assigned to us after a yearly repeat or do we have to try again. Honestly don't care to have kurenia as our sensei since I personally don't care about genjustu since it just seems like a debuff focus skill set and honestly doesn't have much feats in the series unless you have bs eye's.

Well... people had gone full ahead with Taijutsu when I put xp in Kenjutsu. It only had like 1 xp. Now it's a core skill and everyone pictures Daisuke as a sword user.

So did I hijack the character?

No I did not.

The point of Bonus Xp is those who contribute more have more influence. And Ves has already said Kurenai was going to be our sensei before Katsu put a single Xp into Genjutsu. So Katsu didn't hijack our character, he just made him better at something he was already good at.

Don't like that? Nobody is forcing you to participate in the quest.
