Fellow voters, this is a vote about Daisuke's first groupwork poster/presentation in his first week in school. Think about a similar event in your own lives, and you will comprehend what's at stake here

. That said, the things we will establish here are Daisuke's initial:
Relationship with Ino (How much we take her wishes into account)
Weirdness to the rest of class (Conventionality of our topic)
Mental capability to the rest of class and Iruka (Effort and skills shown in the project)
Social style to the rest of class (Effort and skills in presenting)
Interest in a specific area of history (Choice of topic)
I've seen many arguments about the choice of topic being the key ingredient in winning. This doesn't strike me as very likely at all. The judging criteria will be mainly effort, and the ability to maintain focus on presenting an aspect of the history of Konoha. These are the only criteria equally fair to all first week schoolers who haven't been taught anything about presentations or posters. Of course some topics allow for more effort to be shown than others, but judging based on the choice of topic would be really arbitrary and subjective from Iruka (other than confirming that the topic is actually about the history of Konoha).
I've seen some arguments about the importance of us winning, aka being the top postermaker/presentator in our first week of school. To me, this isn't a very relevant concern, since our personality isn't "Academic Tryhard". We will do a good job, because classy people don't fail these kinds of things, but we don't have to win. The social aspects are much more important for our personality (though winning does make a social statement as well).
As for the established traits listed above, I think the most critical here is defining the relationship with Ino. Will Daisuke overpower her, or will he take a more mellow stance? I was first thinking of just letting Ino have this, and making a good presentation on the Yamanaka. However, it would be more imperious of him to think that only he can figure out the best topic. Not the Maito family though, that's just taking advantage of Ino. Choosing the hokage is really in character: "I chose the Third, because that is really the best possible topic, and much more relevant than your lousy topics. I figured it out and you didn't, because I'm smarter than you. Don't take it badly, it's natural for some to be better than others."
[X] Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage. Student of the first two Hokages, teacher to the Sannin and longest serving Hokage, this poster pretty much makes itself!
