I was going to send the sword back until someone pointed out that it will alert the Land of Iron to the situation. I'd prefer to keep this quiet as long as possible.
Btw, we need to train three times as hard now. We're going to be dodging assassination attempts for the rest of our life.

Regarding this. I really don't care for the Land of Iron. I think the best policy is to ignore them and hope they do the same for us. If they try to kill us again then we should probably take some action against them. But otherwise I'm all for leaving them be.
Regarding the sword. I think it would be a mistake to destroy it. I'm hesitant to use it though because I don't want it to take away from our other training (taijutsu and eventually ninjutsu). I think sending it to his family is probably the most neutral option. Unless the sword is some legendary artifact or has special properties I don't feel like keeping it for ourselves. Especially when his family may have more claim to it. They can keep the sword, we have Gai.

Also, don't know if this has been pointed out, but...
Looks like we completed the Mr. Straw achievement. Our reward for landing 1000 blows on him was a Summoning Technique: Mini-Straw. I have no idea what that does though. Maybe we summon a mini training dummy to throw at enemies?

I'm surprised we didn't get any kenjutsu XP for killing Tokei. We did just take out a fully trained samurai even if it was a cheap shot.

Honestly it will take so long in rl to get to where this choice will be relevant that makeing a decision one way or the other would be worthless as we as the voters could change are minds later...
Though I will say if iron leaves daisuke and his mom alone then they will be left alone, if they do anything hostile ie set a bounty then conquest of iron it is...
