Game of the Year: A Naruto Quest

[X] Yes. Becoming a Shinobi of Konoha!? That's the whole reason you're here! Of course!

Vesvius: So what's the stance on (in/out-of universe) creating Achievements or Self-Imposed Challenges?

[X] No. Being a ninja means your life is not your own anymore- and you have other things you want to do than spy for your country.

Well, there're a whole bunch of achievements that aren't on the list because I either haven't thought of them or Daisuke hasn't discovered them. So it's safe to assume that if there's something that's achievement-worthy, doing it will get Daisuke an achievement. Self-Imposed challenges might get you something, but most of the time it'll just be like if you gave yourself a challenge IRL.

My one reservation here is Lee. Will he still get the attention of Guy?

And whats Hagakko? Google-san doesnt give sensible answers.

-[X] "I am sorry, but my first loyalty must always be to my family. So I must decline. Is there any reason we can't be friends though?"

Vesvius: Hmm, could you elaborate on what kinds of Self-Imposed Challenges could grant rewards? Also, mechanically, how different are Achievements and Self-Imposed Challenges? Because the various "Keep X Motive at X Value" could be seen as Self-Imposed Challenges otherwise.

Oh, I guess searching for Tenten, Rock Lee, and Neji just became important. Unsure how to appear all natural about, anyone want to plan it out?

I must admit that I'm curious...what would happen if someone used the Eight Gates to train? Like, instead of using the Eight Gates as a berserk mode, could you condition your body to accept being in that state constantly?

We could probably manage ways, either Skills/Perks or Achievement rewards, to at least improve our efficiency and recoverability. Eight Gates constantly active, though, sounds like several Divine Skilks and Max Stats as prerequisite.

I would expect it to be more of a ladder, e.g.:
Unlock first gate
Begin toleration of first gate
First Gate Mastery
Unlock second gate

The order might be wrong-I imagine mastery would be much more difficult than just unlocking the gate. Still, it would be an advancement through levels as opposed to an all at once thing.

And the Eight Gates should have more potential than we were shown, they were invented from whole cloth by Gai's dad after all.
