Game of the Year: A Naruto Quest

Analysis time!

[] Yeah! Someone's been in your backyard! Of course you'll try and figure out who did it! You'll stakeout the backyard tonight and see if it happens again!
This loses us time unless it's just unwritten that we're going to "obliviously" train for the rest of the day. Essentially the same as the next choice, probably, but with more done. Maybe. If the change was just a one-off, nothing could happen when we watch.
[] No, not at all. Back to work!
Meh. This one's got no initiative.
[] The who isn't important- what matters is the why. Try and figure out why someone left Mr. Straw like this.
This sounds more like asking people for information. "Momma/Tokei, do you know why Mr. Straw was moved?" +Insightful

Going for this achievement has been nothing but good for us so far. Our strength attribute has leveled up and dexterity is only 20 XP away. In addition, 30 more XP into taijutsu. So through this we've cleared 2/3 of the requirements for Working Out For Beginners and made progress in one of the 3 skills required for the Academy Student achievement.

-[X] But who is only part of the story. We also need to know why. Maybe tell mother what we suspect and tell her we have a "Super secret plan to catch the weirdos who did it" and ask if she wants to help.

Out of curiosity, you call up your relationship web. Why is Tokei staring at you?

The line connecting the two of you has changed. The tolerance and disdain are both gone. Where the label previously sat is just a blank space. There's nothing there at all- which is just strange. Your relationships for everyone are labeled. Everyone except Tokei now.

You half shrug to yourself as you eat. You'll figure it out. It's not like he's going anywhere.

First thought was that Tokei was dead and we have a doppelganger in his place. However, that seems a bit over the top. The more likely explanation has already been stated, that Tokei doesn't know how to feel about us and is reserving judgement.

Do you try and puzzle out what happened to Mr. Straw?

[] Write-In

So, going over the options in order
  1. Doesn't really do us much good I think. Either it is someone in the house or someone outside the house. If they are the ones in the house then we are likely to find then it is likely Tokei. If it is someone outside the house, maybe a passing ninja, we aren't likely to find them without wasting a bunch of time.
  2. Generic. We can get back to work after this mystery.
  3. This I agree with. It was left in this specific pose for a reason. Maybe it is a stance we are supposed to copy in order to hit better? This seems like it is more important to figure out, like someone is trying to teach a lesson using Mr. Straw. Challenge accepted.

Defend Mr Straw?

Anyway, I'd argue that the who is very important. They can access our backyard under Tokei's nose means they might access our defenseless mother. If they are a family servant it isn't a problem - but they might not be. Check. Confirm.
