Game of the Year: A Naruto Quest

[X] Shukufuku, a humble village with no Shinobi presence, located north of the Land of Fire.

I'm with this guy pardon? I will be pised if it turns out secret op special place. We never play as anything but ninja and I was looking fovard to becoming a bounty hunter, a samurai guard/soldier for local lord or get teachings from local shrine. Basically anything but ninja or profesion railroad built in the location because to me chice was the point.

Why are so many people voting for the civilian village? This is a Naruto quest, isn't the draw of Naruto, you know, being a Ninja?

So baicly north of Fire means the candidates of location are lands of Sound/Rice (if before Snake), Waterfall, Hot springs and Iron.

No.

Some people might want to try being a ssmurai, or a monk, or an industrialist, or something, anything that hasn't been done a billion times already. I.e. being a loyal konoha shinobi.
This so mutch this the other viable option vote wise right now is Leaf and to put it bluntly leaf has been done to death. (we know the characters we know the tropes we have expectations) we barely have any new ground to cover there unless QM puts big focus on lesser, OC and truely rare decent filler characters (like Chen) which is unlikely to happen.

As the person on Discord that mentioned his Naruto fanfics, I feel like I inspired this quest. I mean my exact quote was "Well Ves, sounds to me like it's time to reconnect to your old fanfic roots and write a Naruto Quest ;P". I practically wrote the first update ;).

On a (slightly) more serious note, I would rather not go with Konoha because as others have said, we'd be going over some well trod ground. That being said, I'd prefer it if we stuck with one of the main five. It'd allow us to explore something new in the Naruto universe, while still feeling like its Naruto. As I recall, the village that got the least information about it was Iwa. Plus Onoki is just plain awesome so...

Something new for a change rather than just mostly Konohagakure or starting in one of the other great five.

There's something new, and then there's being locked out of the plot and dying as a Civilian in the Naruto world.
Hey, bud. The plot is something that happens to the protagonist of the story.

Guess what we are?

The protagonist, we can't be locked out of the plot. Whatever happens to us is the plot.

(Also I didn't know you could see the future, as you demonstrate by telling us what happens in the quest before even the OP knows. Tell me, what is the day and manner of my death?)

But Listen.

Every good video game protagonist I've ever played in any RPG is some Nobody Kid from some Backwater Podunk Town who goes on to save The World.

Like.

Half the Legend of Zelda games start out like that, I'm just following RPG tropes.

Dark I know you are nice dude but, this makes you look like an ass. We get it you don't like civilian option don't be rude about it.
Yes. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come off as aggressive.

My point is that best case scenario we are locked out of Naruto's plot if the civilian village wins. I base this off the fact of two things.

1) There's no Shinobi Academy. So learning the ninja arts is impossible unless you want to head off to Leaf's Academy. But considering a lot of people voting for this option due to it being 'not Leaf' that's clearly not happening.

2) This area is completely disconnected with the plot. Only way it could be further disconnected is if we are in the Land of Snow.

In a way its a bonus to me we do our own thing maybe we run across something from Canon but that won't be our entire quest. Besides if we end up in Iron we can become Samurai if in Rice we can be sweped up in Orochimarus plots. And even if we end up in Hot Water there's Yugakure or a temple to be a monk (It said village had no ninja not that there were no minor village elswhere in country.)
There's some jump on points for us don't be over dramatic.
