To make a vote you make a set of brackets like [], then put an X in the brackets. Then you write next to it what you want to vote for. (People use specific programs to tally votes, and those programs just check the lines with the brackets with the X in them to see what you voted for.
Most QMs will post a pre-made set of vote options that you can just copy-pasta and then put an X in. Others you might have to be a bit more specific...
