also I want someone to explain the chairs. All I got from the update is that Madoka can somehow find everyone THEIR chair.

Though I wonder what she seems in them..... What secrets do you know Kaname Madoka?

I've long suspected that, as Clocks are the Akemi madness, so too are Chairs the Kaname madness. We're simply seeing the beginnings of it.

    • The midday sun shines faintly through the drawn curtains of Madoka's room, as she regards you with quiet resolution--not demanding answers, but begging for you to give them nonetheless. The papers, books, and stuffed toys scattered throughout the room, marks of normalcy, seem strangely ephemeral now…meaningless phantasms driven back by Madoka's presence and will.

    You need to lie to her. Right now. You need to tell her it's all a fantasy, and drive her back into the gentle arms of ignorance.

    A shrug. That's all it would take. She wouldn't stop looking, no, but your secrets would be safe a little while longer, and she…she wouldn't need to know how badly you've failed her. She wouldn't need to know what the world has in store for her.

    In spite of that, you don't shrug. You watch her in silence for a few moments longer. The light shining faintly from behind her seems to stretch out towards you, and you find yourself drawn to it. If you simply accept this offer--if you create this bond of secrets between the two of you--then…

    You glance at Sayaka. If the rest of the room seems to have faded, Sayaka remains vibrant…not like Madoka, no, but still important in a way other things simply are not. A different light--fainter, and less enthralling, but no less real.

    Part of you wants to bring her in too. To share this with both of them; she is your friend, and she has been nothing but loyal, after all. At the same time, though…

    Your eyes return to Madoka. If you tell Sayaka, then this intimacy will be lost. As much as you care about your other friends, Madoka is still exceptional--the chance to have something like this between only the two of you, to have her as a partner, rather than just part of a group…the thought still thrills you. From the very beginning, when she saved you…as much as you cared about Mami, some part of you wished it had just been Madoka, that day. That way, you could have Wished, and it would have just been the two of you.

    You shake your head. The past is past, and that's one moment you cannot return to--after all, the girl Madoka saved isn't there, anymore, and her simple dreams are lost.

    You mourn her, sometimes.

    As it is, though, you can still have something like that, here and now. It isn't the first time you've worked with Madoka in this kind of way, but…it has been rare, and your life was very different. You are not in control now; you cannot simply tell her what to do, as you once could. You'll be counting on her, just as much as she will be on you.

    You feel something strange in your heart, as something shifts. A gear, once halted, is turning again.

    She listens intently, hands gripping at her skirt.

    "It's because we've met before, Madoka. We've met many, many times--and every time, I have had to come back, with my Magic. That was my Wish--to return to the beginning, when everything started, and try to change things."

    She blinks in surprise, opening her mouth to speak, only to close it again as she closes her eyes, brow furrowing.

    "I...there's something…you…a storm…not a storm…"

    You avert your gaze, jaw tightening for a moment, before focusing back on her. You had hoped she wouldn't remember that.

    "...you...Homura-chan…"

    She opens her eyes, and meets your gaze. She's shaking.

    "You're trying to stop it. The storm…Walpurgisnacht."

    Your eyes won't stop burning.

    "...I...yes. I'm trying to save everyone. I…" '…did it all for you. Everything, from the very beginning.'

    You don't say it, though. You don't want to scare her. You don't want to tell her what happens to her. Not right now.

    "There's more though…I can feel it, just…right of reach. I…I've missed you, Homura-chan."

    You finally let yourself cry, "I've missed you too, Madoka. I want to tell you so much, but…"

    You glance at Sayaka meaningfully, relieved to see she's still asleep, "…now's not the time. She doesn't remember, and…I don't want to make her deal with it. Not yet."

    Madoka glances at Sayaka, smiling softly, but with eyes downcast, "I know what you mean. Sayaka's innocent, in a way. I try not to trouble her, either." She glances back at you, "Does anyone else know?"

    You begin to shake your head, then pause, grimacing, "A girl named Oriko. She can see the future. I'd like to keep it to just us, though, otherwise. For now, at least."

    She nods at that, "Okay, just…don't keep her in the dark forever, okay? She really trusts you."

    You sigh at that, bemused, "I doubt I'll be able to keep it secret for too much longer, anyway. I've slipped up a few times already. For now, though…" You shrug, and Madoka nods in understanding.

    You wake Sayaka.

    "Huh? What time is--where--oh. Right. Homework. Why'd you wake me?"

    You tap her assignment, "Like you said: homework."

    "Great...now I've got another friend to push papers at me. What next, Kyouko delivering textbooks by window?"

    You and Madoka sigh in sync as Sayaka continues her good-natured grumbling, feigning exasperation.

    The rest of your study session is a bit less comfortable than before, as you keep finding yourself exchanging glances with Madoka, unable to speak in front of Sayaka, but Sayaka herself seems not to notice, focusing on her work (and, of course, her attempts to avoid doing it). Eventually, though, she finishes up, and the three of you relax for a few minutes, enjoying your victory, until Sayaka speaks up, "…so, how about lunch? It's getting kinda late."

    Madoka nods at that, "We've got some leftovers downstairs, if you want to split those?" Sayaka takes her up on her offer, and glances at you, "You in?"

    You nod in return, and the three of you make your way downstairs. Madoka quickly heats up the left over tacos, and you spend a half an hour or so enjoying your meal together, light shining in from the massive windows to light up the dining area.

    It's over all too soon, and you recall that you still need to check on Mami and Kyouko…but how to go about it?

    [ ] Go alone.
    [ ] Bring Sayaka and Madoka, so Madoka can meet Mami.

    [ ] Just go in and say hello.
    [ ] Write-In objectives for your visit.

    Hmhm. It actually doesnt sound bad. Though I worry about Nanoha's reaction, there's some strong personalities there and she may still be shaky.

    Though on the other hand it might do some good to ground her a little since she's...kinda super alone atm and she's a pretty social being.

    Will have to consider this but what do you other silent guys think?

    Not sure. Having everyone at the same place seems like a management nightmare trying to juggle with everyone's partial knowledge of the events, so I'm not certain I like the proposed course of action, but I suppose we'll have to get them together at some point anyway. Maybe check up on Mami's general mood before overwhelming her with numbers, though she probably wouldn't mind.

    first thing to pop into my mind upon reading that bit was:
