Could we use the sacrifice system they are going to need to set up to make chaos mooks go like lambs to the slaughter without it counting towards the sacrifice count for First Circle Angyl summoning?

Some confusion, disinformation campaign by our spooks and illusions by psyker and our allies.

The mermaids would expecially love millions of souls buffet.

I have only been skimming the thread after the update but I keep seeing people saying Rotbart killed a Captain when he killed the Chapter Master in one on one combat.

it was as this was happening that Mettiuverus Tyrax the Great, Chapter Master of the Emperor's Talons reached you,

That is pretty darn important, yeah. With the Black Crystal Sword no less. No Demon Chapter Master coming out of this one.

Can I say I am the most impressed by Chaos being able to organize the ritual sacrifice of the entire population of China in a week or enough people per hour to kill all the jews in the world.

Even if it is mass suicide it still is a huge number.

He killed both. First, he killed Mr. The Great, that Astartes wanna-be that thinks they can just take our title just like that, in a one on one duel and trounced the guy. Then, when the Captain of the 8th Company saw this, he charged Rotbart to avenge his master. However, Rotbart was too clever by far for the forces of the Abomination to counter, and so he hatched a cunning plot. You see, when Astartes are larger than mortal men, and as such, they have a lot more blood than regular people. We killed them by the thousands in an hour, our Gubernatorial Palace's floor was just soaked in Astartes blood, making it slick and slippery. However, this slippery surface is no challenge for someone who can slay a Chapter Master in a fair duel. And this is how Rotbart laid his trap for the 8th Captain. He feinted, making it look like he slipped and accidentally fell on his ass. This surprised the 8th so much that his head was easily separated from his neck in an instant! Truly, Rotbart was far too much of a match for the Abomination!

I would like this, but then I would feel like either a white supremacist or a heretic.

While I doubt we can confuse them that thoroughly the last line has given me quite the idea. The remaining runes we can buy from the Sirens are:
Elemental Runes
2,500 Souls- Rune of Lightning- Imbues an attack with lightning
1,900 Souls- Rune of Ice- Imbues an attack with ice
2,000 Souls- Rune of Wind- Imbues an attack with wind
Defence Runes
6,000 Souls- Rune of Protection- Allows shield to protect against Psychic Powers
5,000 Souls- Rune of Toughness- Strengthens shield
25,000 Souls- Rune of Warding- Allows Wards to be created
15,000 Souls- Trap Rune- Allows offensive Wards to be created
Connection Runes
100,000 Souls- Bridge Rune- Connects two runes allowing one to effect the other
1.5 times Rune cost- Inverse (Rune)- Reverse effect of Rune, for example fire becomes protection from fire
200,000 Souls- Stability Rune- Allows the linking of more then two runes
Enchanting Runes
15,000 Souls- Rune of Enchanting- Allows other Rune sot be more effectively added to item
5,000 Souls- Rune of Focus- Makes item a better psychic focus
8,000 Souls- Rune of Power- Allows item to store Warp energy for later use
5,000 Souls- Rune of Reinforcement- Improves psychical characteristics of item
Now ignoring the Inverse rune modifier, we get to a total cost for all other runes of 390,400 souls. Or if we ignore the Stability and Bridge runes only 90,400 souls.
If we wanted to go full bore and get every rune, every connection rune, and every inverse rune (besides connection runes which I doubt can be inverted) it costs 529,500 souls.

Consider that Chaos has handed us billions of chaff soldiers that are no threat to us at all.

This is a prime opportunity to buy the entire Siren rune library. We don't even need to capture a whole division, just a bit over half a division. Even if we go full crazy on WMDs to knock out their ritual, I expect hundreds of millions will be left just because of the sheer number of chaos soldiers on the planet.

I'm sure we'll have plenty of time for a slaving operation hunting expedition once Saint Lin is safe from the literal billion of heretics attempting to kill him. Actually, I feel like we will be okay once we fell their Titans and slay their psykers. Once those are all gone, practically all the force concentration of their Crusade is gone and dealt with.

I can see how you misinterpreted what I meant, but I did mean after we shut down their ability to do the summon. I'm just saying we shouldn't slaughter them to the man. 99.9% slaughtered would be fine. (Even that would leave 8 million of them, for a huge trade surplus with the Sirens.)

I was just trying to point out that we have Titans marching on our capital, and fuckloads of psykers left. This Crusade is still a threat so long as they can summon that First Circle.

I swear, handling this invasion is less like a holy slaughter and more like a bomb diffusal mission, only instead of wires that we have to cut, it's enemy sorcerers.

We want to refer to the Midgard campaign for the Ritual things.

Q: How many Primari can we stack in ritual site to maximize Ritual failure chance?

I believe these ones don't count for the sirens as we got their help, on the other hand the number of cultists will increase drastically if nothing else because bits of daemonically possessed metal have been thrown all over Dis.

We'll presumably do cleanup before letting citizens return to their places of residence.

They keep what they kill sure, but I'm talking about ones we catch with our other forces. Not counting those would make little sense since if we don't get trade credit for them we'd have just killed them rather than captured and turned them over.

Of course, but that won't stop them from corrupting people.

If you want to try and capture them sure, but be prepared for possible explosions.

How many cultists do we get a turn usually anyway?
Bout 300,but only around half go to the Sirens.

I don't see how daemonic metal that's been thrown into the sun can corrupt people.
Because its not in the sun yet, its stuck on our planet and we have several hundred kilometres of metal, greater demon possessed, metal sticking out of and spread through our hives that is heavy as hell. The only way to get it out is get Ophelia special equipment and a max size telekinesis choir.

And even then getting it to the sun is going to be an absolute nightmare, the Imperium could raise downed ships from planets, but those ships generally needed to have working engines so we're going to be ferrying up bits of battlebarge.

Thankfully we have Avernus on that front.

Maybe we can have the Grey Knights make a talisman of purity to prevent corruption? The only question is if we have enough innocent people to make it, but if so it should be powerful enough to negate the corruptive effects of the daemon ships.

Pretty sure that was declared non canon as soon as the edition was over and has never been referenced again :p
