Honestly I don't see why we're not going for explicitly removing evil.
That's a perfectly acceptable response, and I don't see why we'd have a slippery slope to worry about - part of the mission of a wife is to make sure that her husband is stable, after all, and Mizore clearly wants to marry us and probably has gotten advice on how to be a good wife given how big a deal it is for snow maidens.

Edit
Heck, the friendly siren in Rosario also went out for specifically removing evil when she fought.

The thing is, the QM specifically pointed out the potential for Jotaro to succumb to the slippery slope--and when the QM points something like this out, odds are that it's meant to be a warning of some sort.

There's the risk of a slippery slope involved regardless of which option you pick.

As Krain and others have noted, however, Jotaro does have friends and family who would support him when he needs it, and even a few that'd be more than ready to call him out on it if he goes too far.

In an ideal world, all ideals would be incorruptible. But since there's no such thing as an ideal world, you're just going to have to suck it up and rely on the Power of Friendship, Power of Love, and quite possibly a last-second pre-climax Shonen Monologue or two to get you through the story.

Really, nothing comes without risk, but you also have sufficient resources to help you overcome those risks. It's just up to you to make efficient use of them.

[X] "The world is better off without you in it!" Even if it's just one dead son of a bitch at a time, you want to make the world a better place.

Just a quick vote change, nothin' to see here.

Vote change. If both are gonna be slippery slopes, then I suppose Jotaro being at risk of going Monster Killer, when he's dating a monster, could be an interesting plotline. And it ties into the Joestar reputation.

And honestly, it always sounded more like him.

Both are good plotlines to follow. So good on Eva for making a choice where we don't need to feel like the voterbase must tear itself apart for the One True Vote.

Now, here's hoping we push Jotaro towards, "Make the world a better place," over time.

I'm mostly wary about Jotaro getting it into his head that he has the ability to decide who 'deserves' to be in the world or not, as opposed to dealing with people who have offended his sense of right and wrong. Just being a jerk? Not enough to get erased from the world. Being a jerk who threatens the people he cares about? That's more appropriate.

'I can change the world' seems more like a Dio-y line of thought than a Jojo-y one, is all.

[X]"You'll pay for what you've done..." His crimes have gone unseen and unpunished for too long! You and Tsurara are the only ones who can mete out justice!

He's planning to kill the guy either way. I think that particular ship has sailed.

Regardless of what wins, we're going to need to make sure to focus on the right sentiments of this resolution.
Even so, it's the difference between 'you have personally offended my sense of justice and right and wrong' and 'I'm at risk of thinking myself capable of deciding what belongs in the world and what does not.'

IDK, seems sketchier.

Not really, honestly. The first becomes the reason to do the second.

Jotaro has already decided it's right to kill Terada, and that he has the right to do it. No matter what way you slice it, Jotaro has decided he is the judge, jury, and executioner.

Right, I'm not saying not to kill the guy, only that the reasons behind killing him are significant. That is, 'I killed him because he pissed me off' is more appropriate than 'I killed him because he shouldn't exist in this world.' One implies a strong sense of justice, the other that there's some kind of absolute righteousness. I think the former is more Jotaro than the latter.

No, one implies that someone got majorly pissed off, and the other that there are people who, regardless of species or anything else, are monsters. The slippery slope of a strong sense of justice is just as slippery as all other slippery slopes, the difference is in how one walks on it.
