If so, will people of the federation be expecting things from them?

Whatevr happen to Admiral Shirou and his granddaughter in the end?

As Bnuy was a Mutant, they did not have any biological kids, and as they both were Up There in terms of social rank/standing, they both thought that raising a child with almost assuredly impossible expectations heaped upon them would be cruel.

And Admiral Shirou and his granddaughter died of natural causes, with the granddaughter of his granddaughter currently captaining the Leo.
man im so happy we did all the doctrine bits
Me too. You barely scraped into doing them all at the last minute there. :V

I'm quite happy that I managed to crowbar that through when I caught your Hint.

And here I was hoping the phrase "at it like rabbits" made it to 40k.

Map hasn't been updated since Sunday (that's what it says for me at least).

We may eventually have to fend off a reclamation crusade once Guiliman or someone else in an important position remembers our sub sectors exist, but hopefully that won't be this turn.

Wouldn't hurt to spend an action building up some more ships though.

555.M42 - A Single Wing
When the two bodies breathed out for the last time, when that breath of air left their aged chests and old blood never to return, it was not like a bell had been struck within the minds of those attuned to the Warp.

Instead, across all planets and stations, all moons and ships, those who had sight beyond sight, hearing beyond hearing, felt something brush against them.

Warm, comforting, gentle.

Even those of strong will and stronger minds felt at ease, their worries melting as their tense muscles relaxed.

It was only moments after that wave of contentment spread across all those people, all those who could feel it, that some looked beyond looking...and saw a wing.

A Single Wing. Stretched out to encompass the entirety of the Federation.

Cradling it, like a parent bird might cradle their young from weather and rain.

And all across that celestial limb, feathers began to sprout as lights drifted from the planets and moons, the ships and the stations; souls seeping into that wing, sprouting into beautiful feathers beyond compare with sighs and dreamless eternity, embraced by oblivion pure and true to shelter beyond any malignant grasp evermore.

And as the Five Star-Born Sphinxes of the Star Child watched in the corners and planets they had taken station on, their kingdoms of papers and bureaucracy working onward even without their diction, they beheld that faint stroke of an unborn hand atop their heads they had felt oh so long ago.

As every mutant of the Glimmering Federation found themselves sprouting gentle and warm feathers with a radiance of shimmering light atop their mutations, sealing the cracks, healing the wounds of mind and body, banishing the roots of Eightfold Misery, uniting their song and narrative of shattered souls residing within their bodies to ward against Chaos evermore.

As on Holy Terra, a broken soul that had wrought untold misery in its blind arrogance wept a single tear of joy.

...the first of Five Seals broke, and an Unborn Child stirred.

And the Federation knew a Miracle.
(6-Hour Moratorium)
[] Declare Teeln, Prophet of the Star Child, A Saint
-[] Title (Like Patron-Saint of the Federation)
-[] Week of Veneration (Name and Date)
--[] Schedule of the Week (What is done when, etc.)

[-] Do Not Declare Teeln A Saint

(Gain: Fucking Riots everywhere on every inhabited place of the Federation once the news spread.)

... What the fuck just happened.

Because it Looks like the Miracle ended up curing Mutation in our territory, and took one step towards Awakening the Star Child in earnest.

Someone dared to write a law in the warp, and the 5 of one prophet's wrote a truth into the very warp around them.

It ended up upgrading your Faith Trait, gave all of the middlefingers to Chaos by denying them any grasp on any person with a mutation in your territory (that was present within said territory at the time of the miracle, no guarantee of continued protection or future application), while also giving all souls in the Federation (once they die) the choice of embracing gentle oblivion to become part of a barrier against Chaos (your upgraded Trait) or be funneled to the Emperor to be used as fuel for the Star Child as usual.

And it also put you on Step 1 of 5 to the Star Child waking up...and Segmentum Solar getting eaten by a Warp Storm once that happens.
Yes! Just 4 to go! We just have to survive long in enough to finish the rest!
Nope, that was your Step. The other four are not yours to finish.

A Hand to Hold the Candle, A Hand to Guide the Sword, A Mouth to Sing the Hymns, Two Feet to March against the Dark, and Eyes to See the Star Child's Light - All your people are passively immune to Light Chaos Corruption (Powered Chaos Sigils, Turbulent Warp Travel, Short-Term Daemonic Contact). This can be upgraded.
(Warning: Trait only applies to believers of the Star Child and will not extend to non-converted populations.)
Holy hell that is fucking great. This is going to make things so much easier in a lot of ways.
