Andromeda's to ferry our fleets around definitely seem to be more and more of a limiting factor as we expand both our total ship count and our total number of systems.

Spending an action to build 3 more won't solve the issue, but it'll at least alleviate it, and we can always do a design and refit run later.

Food Production V - Efficient And Tasty MREs - Improves Military Morale and severely reduces malnutrition and starvation within your own or recently conquered or liberated populations.
Civilian Infrastructure V - Prospering Like Never Before - Decreases the cost of Integrating and Colonizing Systems by 1 Civilian Infrastructure and 1 Heavy Industry. Additionally, the Quality of Life of Federation Citizens increases noticeably. Can be Upgraded/Chosen Again.
Heavy Industry V - A Hereteks Refuge - Reduce Research Cost by 20% Rounded Up, Radical Techpriests may join you when you attack a Human World.
Void Industry V - Kil'drabi - Design and Production Rationalization - Designing a ship line will automatically produce one example of the line, and you produce ships twice as fast. Unlocks a unique Design Aesthetic.
Void Industry X - Wonders of Procurement. - 25% increased DP for Ship Designs.
Medical Services V - Equalized Healthcare - Prevents most non-Warp-based diseases and health-related issues for the Glimmering Federation's populations, including Xenos, present and future.
Military Industry V - The Bastard's Cadence - Improves the effectiveness of your Mechanized Units.
A reminder that these are our current, and we know a ALL V is possible. So maybe we should work on getting that?

More Kharnivores? We can get 45 for the cost of 1 action now.

Yknow what's let us kill more Nurglites faster and with less guesswork? 45 more Kharnivores.

(This has become my single issue, and will continue until we get both more Kharnivores and more weapon systems for said Kharnivores)

More Kharnivores would most certainly help.

But counterpoint

Daemons are warp fuckery

Beating them with better warpfuckery hurts them more. Plus an Anti-Nurgle Song would not kill/weaken the crap out of Nurglings but would hopefully make Nurgle-corruption harder to infect our guys with.

Okay, two draft plans

[] Plan: Faith and Fury
-[] [General] Develop The Federations'...
--[] Military Industry V
-[] [Psykana] Conduct Two Melodies (Hope, Health)
-[] [Faith] Cathedrals of the Star Child

[] Plan: Progress to hurt Nurgle
-[] [General] Begin Archive/Arsenal Inventories - [0/10]
-[] [Psykana] Conduct Two Melodies (Hope, Health)
-[] [Faith] Cathedrals of the Star Child

Both plans include building cathedrals and doing "Hope" and "Health". Three things that Nurgle hates are Faith, Hope, and Good Health as those three are opposite of his thing (Despair is one of his domains and opposite of Faith and Hope, and health is here for obvious reasons).

However one plan gets us started with the archive, as not only would that get us some goodies (probably) but it is also good because PROGRESS, active progress is a good way to tell Nurgle to fuck off. The other plan starts us back on track with getting our shit up to par, so there's that.

Are people giving more attention to Nurgle because of the high amount of casualties or is Tzeentch situation better?

For me, it's more convent to attack Nurgle as we have more melodies that would hurt Nurgle daemons and anyone aligned with Nurgle.

Taurus-secundus (Taurus-S) Class Troopship

Starts digging in our borders at Ultima Sigritta and Vahlhidem so we can start fortifying them before they're dealing with a tide of Problems, drops Cathedrals in to boot to help secure things (And god have mercy on us, our pacing is going to hit the dirt from all this), and gets the Super Taurus rolled out in time to support the rest of the campaign. Should put us in good stead.

[] Taurus-secundus (Taurus-S) class Troopship
-[] Length
- 1.800 Meters (-1 DP)
-[] Width - 500 Meters (-2 DP)
-[] Acceleration - 7 Gravities (-1 DP)
-[] Armor - Thick Single Hull (-1 DP)
-[] Shields - One Array (-1 DP)
-[] Weapons - 1x Medium Mixed Hangar (-1 DP)
-[] Equipment - Strict Plot Training/Veteran Pilot Gene-Lines/Ship Shrines/Superior Gravimetric Engine Calculations/Medium Troop Compartment/Dedicated Ortillery/Dedicated Heavy Ortillery (-12 DP)

Ship Shrines for Morale, Superior Gravimetric + robust defenses to let it evade most attacks and survive the occasional lucky shot, 250% the troop carrying capacity of the original Taurus, and an Anti Fortress Gun for strongpoints. Plus vastly more mass to fit all this stuff into.

We would be hard pressed to do better than this for some time. And it will be helpful even now by way of being able to provide an anti-fortress gun for our ground landings, and a massively expanded air support wing.

I think I like this plan most. It increases faith defenses, finally takes another Psykana, and gets two Melodies, and starts the Inventory.

Yeah I think this plan has my vote too. We need to start the archives so that it'll tick over for us over time without further investment needed.

Hereteks Refuge - Reduce Research Cost by 20%, Rounded Up. +0.2 Research per Action Spent. (0.0 Research Banked)
Should our banked research not be higher as we did Chaos Sanctification?

[] Plan: Arsenal of the Faith
-[] [General] Begin Archive/Arsenal Inventories - [0/10]
-[ ] [Military] Design A New Voidship Class - [Light Cruiser]
--[ ] Andromeda-Secundus (Andromeda-S) Class Command Ship
-[] [Faith] Cathedrals of the Star Child

The Andromeda is ~13 DP behind and we'll have to build more of them soon so I feel an upgraded design is called for. Something like…

Andromeda-Secundus (Andromeda-S) Class Command Ship
-Length - 3.800 Meters (-1 DP)
-Width - 400 Meters
-Acceleration - 4 Gravities
-Armor - Thin Double Hull
-Shields - Two Arrays
-Weapons - 2x Medium Bomber Hangars/1x Medium Fighter Hangar (Total: 48 Bombers and 72 Fighters) (-3 DP)
-Equipment - Veteran Pilot Genelines/Strict Pilot Training/Superior Gravimetric Engine Calculations/Enhanced Supply Generation/Armored Lifepods/Armored Bridges/Ship Shrines/Enhanced Strategium/Hymns of the Machines (-20 DP)

Upgrade the Andromeda into a real command ship with an enhanced strategium. It's a lot more survivable now with the higher base stats and the superior grav calcs. The armored lifepods and armored bridges will protect the command staff and the choir since they're the most important parts of the ship.

Spends two DP on expanding the hangars to add a lot of long range firepower on the cheap. I think we've been playing it a bit too safe in terms of what we can cram into a ship but I decided to increase the length anyway in case some people are worried about running into a drawback.

I think we need the Taurus or Andromeda upgrade and colonization, but I'm wondering if starting the armory world inventory is more important than cathedrals.

Hmm... If we're making a Super Andromeda, I've got some ideas...

Let me get to the drawing board on this real quick.

I did a thing. Well no, more like 4 things. Got bored the other night and drew up 4 specialist ships (and quickly updated them with our new capabilities). They're probably not going to be necessary for at least another 5 turns, but it was fun work-shopping them out.

[] Lynx-Primus Heavy Missile Cruiser (v.2.0)
-[] Length - 4600 Meters
-[] Width - 600 Meters
-[] Acceleration - 2.5 Gravities (-1)
-[] Armor - Medium Tripple Hull
-[] Shields - Three Matrixes
-[] Weapons - 1x Medium Fighter Hangars, 1x Super-Heavy Missile Battery, 2x Medium Missile Batteries, 1x Light Missile Turret (-10)
-[] Equipment - Armored Lifepods/Harsh Crew Training/Lattice Hulls/Macross Missile Massacres/Strict Pilot Training/Superior Gravimetric Engine Calculations/Swarm Missiles/Veteran Pilot Genelines, Yeeni Auxiliary Engineer Division (-17)
Coming off the success of the Crux-Secundus, the Lynx Heavy Missile Cruiser was envisioned to be a sister ship to the newly christened Leo-Class Heavy Cruisers. Meant to follow the Leo into the thick of the battleline; the Lynx's extensive missile batteries are to suppress and overwhelm the enemy's defenses through sheer volume of fire, allowing the Federation's vaunted squadrons to slip in the killing blows. And should the need arise, the VLS Super-Heavy Missiles mounted along the Lynx's spine can land the crippling blows itself.
Here's my second pass at making our heavy missile cruiser of the line with our newfound capabilities. Length and width and armor are the same. Acceleration also stays the same, but its cheaper now at least. Shields were improved one step since they're the same cost. Added a light missile turret due to a leftover DP to cover the forward arc and to track any lighter ships trying to be cheeky (btw can light missiles be used as dual purpose PD against fighter craft?).

The meat of the change is me squeezing in a Swarm Missile upgrade into its equipment slots. This improves the Lynx's firepower from the equivilant of having 12 Medium Missile and 6 Super Heavy Missile Batteries to having 18(!) Medium Missile and 9 SH Missile Batteries (+9 Light Missiles on the turret).

[] Orion-Primus Class Heavy Lancer
-[] Length - 4.600 Meters
-[] Width - 600 Meters
-[] Acceleration - 2.5 Gravities (-1)
-[] Armor - Medium Tripple Hull
-[] Shields - Three Matrixes
-[] Weapons - 1x Medium Bomber Hanger/ 1x Heavy Prow Lance/ 2x Super-Large Lance Turrets (-16)
-[] Equipment - Armored Lifepods/Strict Pilot Training/Veteran Pilot Gene-Lines/Lattice Hulls/Harsh Crew Training/Lense Cogitation Matrix Lattice (-11)
Holy shit. Making a viable lance boat with our current doctrine while keeping most of our standard safety equipment was like pulling teeth here. I eventually settled on having to axe the Yeeni Engineer Div (*sad yipping noises*) to fit in the Lense Matrix so that the Orion can now sit in the back of the class with the Libra-T's and snipe destroyers to its heart's content.

[] Capricornus-Primus Light Fleet Tender
-[] Length - 3.600 Meters
-[] Width - 400 Meters
-[] Acceleration - 4 Gravities
-[] Armor - Thin Double Hull
-[] Shields - Three Emitters (+1)
-[] Weapons - 1x Medium Fighter Hanger (-1)
-[] Equipment - Large Repair Bay/Small On-Board Manufactory/Yeeni Auxiliary Engineer Division/Strict Pilot Training/Veteran Pilot Gene-Lines/Ship Shrine/Spacious Crew Quarters/Armored Life Pods/Advanced Alloying (-24)
My attempt at a logistics ship for our burgoning fleets. Just slapped on every vaguely engineering sounding equipment onto the ship and basically called it a day. Its fast enough to stick with the Andromeda's and has a defensive compliment of fighters.
---
Void Singer-Primus Stealth Scout Destroyer
-Length 1.200m (+2)
-Width - 200m (+2)
-Acceleration - 8 Gravities (-1)
-Armor - Single Hull
-Shields - Singular Emitters (+2)
-Weapons - 1x Light Missile Batteries (-1)
-Equipment - Superior Gravimetric Engine Calculations/Emergency Maneuver Engines/Missile Swarms/On-Board Supply Generation/Refractive Hull Coating/Stealth Engine Dampeners/Ghosts Amidts The Stellar Winds (-20)
My own attempt to try and make a specialist scout using our new stealth options (No real clue what the Ghosts equipment does but its 10 DP and vaguely stealth related so in it goes!). Had to compromise the ship's defenses and armament a bit to fit it all in, but I figured not being seen at all would be its main defense here.

Its main job is to infiltrate deeper into hostile territory and get out with little fuss. And if it does get spotted, its still a dodgy little thing that can outspeed most persuers and with the new hull coating, it'll be even harder to hit.

Hey, @HeroCooky , if you're still around, I have a question. Would it be possible actually to have an Andromeda serve a dual purpose as a general "Port away from Home" facility? During those periods where a formation is transitioning through a system--unless those are negated and we just spend the whole time in the Warp anyway.

What I'm trying to say is "Luxurious Crew Amenities but modified so it's basically there for any crew members on leave as part of the flotilla." Kind of a general Morale Keeping ship.

As an alternative, are the Repair Bay options complete upgrades to the Manufactory Line? Or are we just capped at Small for some reason?

Because I've got 10 more DP on the Super Andromeda here and it's already almost as perfect as it can be with our current tech. I want to expand its role, but I need to know how it would interact with the rest of the flotilla. Right now, I'm sort of leaning between it either being a transport or a logistics vessel, moving away from the Command Ship title (As we have bigger ships now that can take that role) in the process.
