Which makes sense, given they didn't go crazy viewing Palpatine and he's probably about as powerful. He also didn't notice them, and he's frankly demonstrated a million times the intelligence and sanity that Aboleth did once it was free.

Maybe, but there is a HUGE difference between Jedi/Sith and Abeloth. Abeloth. It is in Legends she tried to wipe out the Galaxy and even after defeating her Luke wasn't sure that she was dead. She is a Dark Side/Light Side Force nexus in a single living being. She can shape change, Force disguise/stealth, and create avatars, which no one else has been seen to do. So thinking that she has powers beyond any Sith or Jedi isn't a stretch.
Sure we could Flow Walk, but the risk of that is super high. Go too far forward and we could go insane from seeing our confrontation to Abeloth which would alter that future which we would then see in a never ending cycle driving us insane. DON'T MESS WITH TIME LIGHTLY.

Darish Vol nearly broke her will before she was forced to weaken herself drastically fending him off and run for it, and he survived her attack handily before their final confrontation. Her main strength wasn't so much her power or plans but her ability to 'disguise' herself which any Force Wraith can do.
There are plenty of things MUCH worse than Abeloth. Tenebrae, Darth Nihlus, and Sidious himself are arguably nastier- for all her power, Abeloth didn't basically escape hell like Sidious did and require basically every Jedi Knight to ever die to keep imprisoned on his return to Chaos.
I am saddened by the lack of joining up with Master Zan. Both light and dark side learnings are as easily warped towards their opposite as they are to use for their intended purpose.

Well they needed a ring of black holes to keep her trapped. She can travel to the Beyond Shadows, a thought realm linked to the Force. She bathed in the Pool of Knowledge and the Font of Power which basically gave her all the power of the Light and Dark side. Stabbing her with a lightsaber might not have killed her. She was definitely insane, but she was also powerful. Unlike the Sith, she doesn't have a goal beyond kill things/cause trouble.
I will say that the Ones in the Clone Wars were meh in terms of power. But watching the fights again, it seemed that Anakin got a massive boost from the planet/area to help subdue them in the first round then they all killed each other off with family drama. Perhaps mental illusions of the Ones would distract/mentally attack Abeloth, but in terms of raw power and bullshit prerequisites needed to kill her....I am much more hesitant. At the minimum I would take Palpatine's sheet and add a 0 to the end of every number.
There is in argument to be made that since Anakin was meant to replace the Father, which represents the Living/Unity Force then the Chaos Force of Abeloth would grow in corresponding power. When Anakin died, that could have weakened the balance. Another personal theory, but the Ones are the embodiment of the aspects of the Force itself. It could also flip around in that if we don't replace the Father and restore the balance, which he manages then Abeloth could actually gain power as the sole living aspect. That is what the prophecy was about, in regards to Bringing Balance to the Force.

Your words were said with resolution, but the pain that gripped your heart at the expressions of your family cut deeper than any pain. Owen's eyes began to tear up as did your mother's, but Cliegg's remained neutral; however, you could sense the grief that lay within his heart. You offered a sad smile. Cliegg was the first to speak,

A tear rolled down your cheek as you walked beside Qui-Gon Jinn. The Jedi looked at you and gave a small smile. He obviously knew that your decision to leave had been painful. You hoped it was the right one. The form of Cliegg and your former speeder lay in the background. The silver design of the sleek Nubian spaceship lay before you. You shook your head. Now was the time for excitement! Not gloom.
The ship lowered its ramp and you slowly entered. You were not certain you had ever seen something so expensive. The sights amazed you. Several crew members darted past and your eyes followed them for a moment before turning to the right. A young man wearing Jedi robes approached Qui-gon and said wryly,
"I cannot leave you alone without you picking up some new companion can I?"
Qui-gon chuckled and motioned to you.
"Obi-wan, this is Anakin Lars, the one whose blood I sent you. Anakin has Jedi potential," Qui-Gon looked at you, "Anakin, this is my apprentice, Obi-wan Kenobi."
"Pleased to meet you!" You stuck out your hand and Obi-Wan offered you a smile as he shook it. In the back of your mind you noticed that Qui-Gon had used your step-father's last name. You had never really talked with Cliegg about it, but realized it was a reasonable assumption. You would:

I've been thinking about how we should progress in our time at the Jedi Temple. I'm assuming that we will leave and train with Arden before the start of the Clone Wars so we'll be trying to get knighted earlier than Anakin in canon. This will limit the amount of time we have at the Jedi Temple.
I'm focusing on a combat/charisma build with the beginnings of a stealth build. I think we would be better off waiting to train for stealth under Arden since she seems to focus on stealth options while the Jedi seem more focused on combat and diplomacy.
Combat:
1) Train Shii-cho to level 3 - unlocks other lightsaber forms
2) Train Niman to level 5
3) Buy combat perk to increase all levels by 1
4) Focus training Soresu, Makashi, and Shien/Djem-So - I like these for a combination of defense & offense. I'm less interested in Jar'Kai as it seems more situational.
5) Train Teräs Käsi to level ? - if we're training with Arden after leaving, I think this is less of a priority to master right away. We should focus on lightsaber skills while we're with the Jedi.
Force Powers:
1) Train Force Sense & Life Detection - both of these unlock other trees (Force Empathy, Force Sight, Battle Precognition, Psychometry, Battle Meditation, and Shatterpoint) and will be helpful in a combat/stealth build. The fields they unlock will be helpful as well. I also think they and some of the trees they unlock will be easy to train since Anakin could constantly practice these subtly. For example, Anakin could always use Force Sense while walking around the Jedi Temple.
2) Train Telepathy - same reasons as 1. It unlocks Force Bonds, Jedi Mind Trick, Comprehend Speech, and Illusions.
3) Buy force training perk once Force Sense, Life Detection, and Telepathy hit level 4
I think Shatterpoint might be worth buying early, but I think we should wait on Battle Meditation and let it unlock at Life Detection 5. We won't have a way to reliably practice it until the Clone Wars.
We should also learn some levels of Force Speed, Force Jump, and Telekinesis, but we don't need to focus them. It did amuse me that if we focus on Healing and get Force Resurrection, Anakin might never worry about Padme dying in childbirth if that canon event repeats.
The only person I can think of that we should really spend time with outside of the Jedi Temple is Padme since she'll be a Senator and possible waifu. Padme probably also has high charisma and will be able to teach Anakin about diplomacy and leadership. She can introduce us to other politicians and influential figures. The downside is that we might run into Palpatine more often since he's part of the Naboo delegation to the Senate.

We want both, because the GM stated they'd cancel out the signals for the other, and I don't want the Holocrons taken away (yes, they'd take the blue one, too. Jedi really don't like people having knowledge they don't know or approve of). I'd also like to do something other than just listen to what the Coruscanti have to say, but that stems from my very, very little respect for the order. Getting it from an older Jedi and a Sith should help with that.
