Yeah that was the part I was hoping someone could come up with before I voted. Alas.

Oh and while looking at the Research section I also had a question on the scientist's RP requirements to improve skill levels:

While they have current starting skill levels, what actions are needed to make them advance? Self-studying with the relevant skill levels and bonuses for that skill, or can someone teach them so they can rank up faster?

Alternatively, can they can gain RP for leveling the skill akin to gaining 'exp' of some sort by performing research that uses the relevant skill? basically if someone is forced to do research related to energy while having only Rank E, but spent multiple turns on it with the help of labs, do they gain part or all the RP gained for the research as part of skill learning process for the related skill?

Self Study only, and that will take them out of helping out with projects for that turn. Will make an exception for nat 100's.

Arc-Reactor:
[ ] Thermal Compensator [1600]: Current existing power conduits and transmission systems were never meant to channel the sheer amount of power that your Arc-Reactors could output. They definitely would not be able to handle any future iterations of your magnum opus. Sounds like something you are going to have to work on if you ever want to make full use of the bounty provided by your Arc-Reactors in the future.

just 1 minor thing revy can split her RP across multiple projects
 
Now that I reread some things, doesn't the energy proposal help the lizards the most? They and Revy have superconductors that maximize the energy flow. Everyone else gets stuck with what they have.

Edit: Shouldn't we decode four-eyes encryptions? We are at war with them.

I'm not actually seeing where that prerequisite is. In the threadmark and informational, it doesn't say anything about prereqs for it.
That we absolutely need it is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration. What I mean is that we need the 'Thermal Compensator' to be able to use everything we can get out of the ARC reactor. We can use the reactor without it, but not efficient enough to say that the ARC III is better than the ARC II. At least that is my opinion.

For them, I don't want to poke them until we have the Brain Shield.

That we absolutely need it is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration. What I mean is that we need the 'Thermal Compensator' to be able to use everything we can get out of the ARC reactor. We can use the reactor without it, but not efficient enough to say that the ARC III is better than the ARC II. At least that is my opinion.

I see, so it's more that it'll just give us so much power that we won't be able to use it. So it'll not really get the full effect. And energy weapons do work, although I'm wondering if it may be better to go for the Brain Shield, as it'll be needed at some point.

I guess we should do the cryptography then it will be the most immediate game changer without having to do refits or delivery.

Didn't know brain shield was on the tech list.

edit: Damn it i want transcendent hardware for that sweet RP generation.

It's one of Mordin's, so it's in the threadmark but not the informational. I'm hesitant on the cryptography though, as the probably of if it's even possible could be rather low.

[ ] Brain Shield [400]: Prothean technology presents terrifying possibilities for technological assault on sapient minds. Should begin developing countermeasures immediately. Initial iteration probably effective only against weaker non-hostile efforts. Considerable amounts of research required. (Counts as Biotech)

I know it is likely high but it will pay in dividends if we can crack it in the early parts of the war. Intelligence wins wars and lowers the death rate. So starting it early or in the background with spare RP could hasten the end of the War. Who knows maybe we would learn a bit about the reapers IC, maybe hints.

We actually already know about the Reapers in universe, I believe the Hanar actually worked on a fleet as a result of our findings. For the crytopgraphy though, I'm just not convinced that the effort we put into it will be worth it.

They know about the cuttlefish and they have no idea there capabilities or design. Revy wouldn,t make the connection between them even if she saw them and they think the Reapers were mutually destroyed. The cryptology is important considering if you know things you can avoid traps, locate bases, capture spies etc. Its good works on all scales like knowing where they will strike and what they are bringing. Governments spend a lot of money IRL decrypting. Besides that action can't be harder then unobtanium and that's 3200.

so yes you could theoretically have 40 size 50 buildings :V
