[x] Laser-firing cravat rides again! (Brandon Jimminez)
Just noting that the Rogue Council is... not best prepared to handle the paradigm that the Anathema brings with it.
Come on guys. This option means that Donald and Rose didn't get killed, while their situation is much more in doubt in the other options.
They do get converted into killbots offstage.
That counts as being killed.
No it doesn't. Otherwise ATLAS units wouldn't be able to use magic.
I don't follow. No it doesn't. Otherwise ATLAS units wouldn't be able to use magic.
This hasn't happened though.
Hah. And you say we're tempting fate.
First, I'm not convinced he is. This sort of OOC choice defines the world around us. Heck - some *IC* choices define the world around us.[ ] Well, okay, there's a lot of propaganda there. Including a ransom video of that kid you met in Hong Kong. Brandon Jiminez? Apparently they think he's a Technocratic spy and want to chop his head off. Why is he in Russia? From what the accusations of 'crimes' include, he was tracking you people.
I'm leaning this way, but I think it's worth noting that Mr. Jiminez seems to have his own plot thread following us. In fact, I have expect that the result for not voting this way is more likely that he hasn't been caught and is still looking for us. So it should be noted that this may effectively be an [] expend quantum narrative Brandom Jiminez option, since I'm very nearly positive he's going to show up at some point before the end.
I'd be more sympathetic to the viewpoint that this is our only chance to interact with if he hadn't been a viewpoint character already. Like, it's possible that he could never appear again, but that would seem to violate conservation of narrative detail.
Yes, this is why I'm leaning towards the choice. @EarthScorpion mentioned at one point that conserving a quantum narrative option just to conserve it, or on the hope that it will build up to something more useful isn't how these options work.Second, even if it is, putting him in a place where he can hand us useful intel and is also *well*-positioned to be turned to the Technocracy? That honestly seems like a fairly *good* use of quantum narrative Brandon Jiminez.
