Changed my vote for glorious material science.

Hurr, I wonder if we can fix up the power armor with some of this stuff.

So it seems Zeratul and a ghost trainee team (Blue Team, maybe?) are going to be showing up next update. Hopefully we can talk to the first group, get an IC knowledge of the Korpulu sector, and recruit blue team into helping us out.

Where did that come from?
In the update [Enemy Unknown], the protoss and psionic humans felt our arrival in the sector. Zeratul is coming over to check out what is going on, and Mengsk decided to send a team of trainee ghosts in to investigate.

Since they didn't appear during this entire encounter, I think they're going to be showing up soon afterwards.

Who the hell is going to talk to that dude anyway.
I mean we certainly can't let him meet the baby Emperor and Ynnead probably has other stuff to do than take material form, so who will it be?

That's dependent on what stat is used for diplomacy.

Story-wise though, I feel that Adam is probably going to trust diplomacy either to Malcador or the Primarchs.

Once adam has fully healed from the injuries he took from the chaos gods he can star biomancing himself to grow up faster. Screw waiting ten years to grow up fully.

Not sure I want to risk anyone important in case the meeting goes to shit...
Could we, I dunno, just set up some communication well away from our people that Zeratul could use to talk to us, so as to make sure there is no lives at stake should it all go wrong?

...
Right, now it's coming back.
Slipped my mind.

It's going to be this. We have Malcador, Khan, Corvus, and Aurora as well.
Well, if Fellowship is the most important factor in diplomacy, than Aurora would be the best choice: out of all of them, she has a fellowship rating of 14, higher than the Primarchs and Malcador (though, combined, they would beat her.)

Well...

Your talking about some of the strongest characters we have. I'm pretty sure they can take care of themselves. Hell Malcador was back handed by a primarch and was almost perfectly fine afterwards.
Yeah, this. And if there are any concerns over security, we have Custodes, who were trained for bodyguard duty. Also considering Zeratul's character, I doubt the meeting would go that horribly.

Don't worry, it's been a while. I kept expecting at least one of them to show up during the fighting, but I was mistaken. Appears they're coming after the fact.

Torr, what's your head canon for the fall of the Golden Age of Mankind and the Iron Men Rebellion? Scrap code? Cause I can roll with that, but it kind of attributes a lot of stuff to Chaos and makes scrap code a bit bullshit.

So when do we want to assassinate Mengsk?
He's not gonna bend knee, we've got super-assassins... might as well get rid of the bastard at earliest opportunity so we don't need to bother with him otherwise - especially since he's now sending some ghosts to us we should be able to figure out who he is so we can put a bullet through his head/poison his everything.

I'm thinking, soon as we've got info on him, he dies.

Eh, point.

Things can always go wrong.
Not saying we should expect it, but to assume it'll all go perfect would be to invite disaster, I feel - Zeratul might let slip that Protoss burned human worlds without clarification, for instance, or might say something deeply insulting without meaning to, or a thousand other little things that might lead to bad times.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and all that.

Ideally, as soon as we can.

Pragmatically, we can't just drop in and shoot the man. That won't make threat the Dominion poses go away overnight. In fact, it might make things worse if a general decides to take control and use this as an excuse to attack. Are their ships inferior to ours? Yes, but it doesn't matter because they have more than we do, and the Phalanx can't be everywhere at once.

I would say that before we go in and kill Mengsk, we carefully analyze the Dominion command structure (i.e who's most likely to fill the power vacuum, who's got the most forces under their control, etc.) Once we have done so, we can then proceed onto killing Mengsk, as well as the few important members we identified. If all goes in plan, the Dominion deteroiates into civil war, weakening itself to the point where the IG and Navy can just walk in and take power.

Of course, if we just wanted Mengsk gone but the Dominion military intact (possibly to assimiate into the IG and Navy,) we would need Emps to use his CHARISMA to win them over.

But yeah, one way or another, Mengsk is going to die.

...Oh yeah, right, hadn't thought about that. I can see where you're coming from now.

Guys, you are in for a treat, already making plans and detailing plot for Alpha Legion Omake.

Yeah we need to kill the bastard as fast as possible. The idiot's got laboratories around the Sector designed to create Hybrids for Amon's army. We're gonna to find and destroy each of those facilities as well as the Mobious Foundation. Narud is going to be our number two target, if only because we don't know about him.
