What is Fate? (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Quest)

The best part about this is that even a bit of basic knowledge on greek mythology would tell you that satyrs are all dudes.

Since we lack any exp in mythology that is probably the reason we dont know that there is no such thing as a female satyr.
We knew our Ma almost immediately but dont know that satyr's are all male, kek.

also kinda torn on blossom cause of my 'dont wanna include mortals in our 80% chance of dying young life' thing so if anyone has anything to say about it id be glad to hear it.

We are facing more zombies so it better to learn some basic self defense.
We also need to learn some Greek Legends in character to know all the politic and monster that will appear and have unbias point of view when reading about them. Also I don't wand to end up like Percy when it comes to Greek history. How long it took him to know some command things when he could have learn it in the 1st year when he discover it was real. There even other pantheon in universe and most half-blood dose not even know that.
We should make friends outside of camp since they are family and it would help us in social that we need in the future. Again I don't want to be like Percy and make enemy with almost everyone we meet that can end up biting our but the future.

@Monk Penguin
You still have the lanky brown hair and blue eyes.

I thought our eyes were brown?

feck it, i know ill regret this if she turns out to be a squishy mortal but aleast theres always the option of just dropping her from our life once things start inevitably getting even more dangerous if she is.

Even if she's not a Satyr, we do need friends at some point. I think that the argument of them being in danger will just assure us a lonely childhood.

As far as I'm aware there is no actual statement that all Satyrs can only be males. They are commonly depicted as males, but a story that states all satyrs can only be male... I've never heard of that.

Am I the only one who had a Plants vs. Zombies flashback when we stated thinking about making special plants when we have been using them to kill zombies?

In the Riordanverse, Satyrs are known to be all male. Females take after whatever their mother is, males are satyrs like their father. Riordan Wiki on Satyrs confirms this, though it does mention Satryresses are mentioned in legends in the Trivia section near the bottom of the page.. I always thought they were just a satyr pulling a Grover.

Riordan verse.

Also their creation myth (how satyrs came to be) basically have it so female satyrs are never born due to pan pissing off the gods at some point.

Also look at the historical artwork for satyrs. All male... Very.... Obviously male.

EDIT: Seriously. Look up some of the sculptures.

EDIT 2: Did a bit more research. Apparently the greeks (in myths, not the series) have female satyrs. Though this fact is extremely obscure. Oddly, roman forms do NOT have female satyrs.

Ugh, I'm going to be the devil's advocate and argue we don't take the 'Imbuing plants with qualities'.

It looks really tempting, but that'll put us out on everyone's radar. From what I know, it's historically been really important events or powerful beings like gods who create magical plants. Let's get better at other things first so we can defend ourselves, before we out ourselves as having an important ability like that to every monster in the area (plus any spirits or gods or other powerful entities).

Maybe if we're at Camp, we could do this much better and safer. But, alone, with monsters watching us, our Dad unable to see through the Mist or help us, makes this a bad time to yell at everyone we have a rare and useful ability while we are vulnerable.

My reason for not picking martial arts right now is that Sam is still pretty young, only 7, and at this point there is only so much self defense can really help with. I voted for the dad survival option this time instead but I would have also taken an athletic sport option to lay a foundation for future muscle growth if I didn't think we need to prioritize learning more about greek myths to know what's out there and the chlorokinesis option to strengthen what has already been proven to be a life saver.
