For 'One shall fall by their father's hand' we could save Zoe then go 'Poseidon, quick knock (or trip) Percy off the cliff and into the water below!' Splosh, one quester who fell by their fathers hand, no need for death.
The exact quote is
And one shall perish by a parent's hand.
Which is one of the 2-3 times (in the first 5 books) that a prophecy has unequivocally stated that someone will die.
The other examples are from the Battle of the Labyrinth:
The Child of Athena's final stand.
Destroy with a hero's final breath,
Which I guess could be interpreted in some other way, The hero (In this case the Child of Athena, but doesn't necessarily have to be the case with how the Prophecy is worded) doesn't necessarily have to die, he just has to stop breathing. Unfortunately, for most living beings, not breathing results in a serious case of asphyxiation followed by dying.
Then, there's the great Prophecy:
The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap,
A single choice shall end his days,
Not sure how to interpret this one because this time both lines seem to be referring to the same person (Though I believe that in Prophecy you should usually take each line individually.) Not sure how the hero's getting out of this one though.
Do you mean Thalia turned 12 on Dec 22, 1999? Because if she turned 12 in 12/00 then there would be no conflict.
Alright, I made an error, in the chapter (which I have fixed) but I will clarify again.
Thalia's birth date is Dec 22, 1987, which means that on Dec 22, 2000, she would turn 13.
This contradicts the other statement, which is that Thalia met Annabeth when Thalia was 12 in 2001. Thalia can't be 12 in 2001 because she turned 13 in the last week of 2000
seriously, how many are there? It just describes them a horde).
More than 10, less than 50
could we get some more description of the area? Are we in an abandoned lot, an abandoned section of the city, an abandoned rundown park with most of the plants dead, at an abandoned church, are we even in the city anymore or did Trent take us out of it, ect. What are nearby in the area that we can see, are there walls all around or could we run/escape in any direction, is there a direction with plenty of plants visible or possible (ie, to our right is a sign that read 'Community Park' or such)?
You're in an abandoned section of the city, surrounded by what appear to be empty apartments and some small patches of dirt, grass, and weeds.
Edit: you dont see an obvious direction to run, but you are quite sure that you're approaching the west end of Long Island (Brooklyn/Queens) and that there are several parks in the area.
Honestly its hard to forget fully once youve been doing it for a few years so probably. the bigger issue is can we drive wheel and actually reach petals and see out the window at the same time, kids are rather short at that age.
This is the big issue with driving. Blossom doesn't know how. If you do this, you will need some way to see over the wheel and reach the pedals at the same time. I would not suggest having Blossom do it
as she can't actually flex her ankles.
Oh, and we don't know where we are currently, with the monsters having driven us westward, apparently.
Yeah, the problem with going to Camp Half-blood is that you don't know where Camp Half-blood
is. It's somewhere on the northeast part of long island, but without a guide you'd need to search for it, and that could take hours or even days if you don't have good transportation
the classic school bus with one door near the front of the bus, an exit via the sides in a window-door, an trapdoor exit or two to let people out via the roof of the bus, and a large window in the back which can open up and allow exit from.
This is the one, a short one of course. two doors up front, one for the driver and one for the passengers. Emergency exits on two windows. An emergency exit on the roof and a big door on the back.
