    If you wish to discuss staff actions, please do so either in AAPQ or Forum News and Staff Communication. Doing this in-thread only serves to disrupt things further. In addition, 'Trap' has not suddenly become an acceptable term in the time between the previous infraction and the time of your post. Take 50 points and three days off.

    To address the questions of the general thread, I'd like to direct your attention to this quote from Strypgia.

    This has come up before. I'm just going to reuse the words one of our directors used in a similar case a while ago: The term isn't a mystery. A lot of the trans people we have on SV are themselves otaku and familiar with the term, the character type it refers to and so on. It's not some mystery that they, or us for that matter, had never encountered before.

    Moreover because we are familiar with the term we can say that the idea that it's not a bad term is somewhat naïve. Even setting aside that it's a gay panic joke where the gay panic has subsided somewhat, the character type itself - the otoko no ko - is very often used in pornography that sexualizes young boys or is pretty much rape. It's not all Juns and Totsukas. Moreover, it is not uncommon for transwomen to be treated like they're actually crossdressing men who catch men in insidious gay sex traps, so they're understandably sensitive about this. Considering the inherently negative connotation in the word 'trap', its origins as a gay panic joke, and the concerns of a significant portion of our userbase, we don't allow the word to be used.

    There is no equivalent term that can be swapped out for 'trap' to make the kind of 'jokes' made in this thread to be unoffensive, because the meaning behind the comment is inherently hateful. You cannot plug and play away the exact wording of a joke to somehow find an acceptable variant that means the same thing. As long as the punchline remains either gay panic or transphobia, such a 'joke' will still fall afoul of the same rules.

    As I said above, if you wish to ask questions or dispute staff actions, there are places to do that. They are not in this thread. I'd prefer to not have to come back into this thread for a third time, so let's all get back on topic, please.

    • I think we should for sure max out chlorokinesis within the next year. And then focus on our war scythe and archery maybe a 2:1 ratio. switch it up every once in a while. Along with imbueing our plants with properties, rock wall, and some socializing

    I just wan to ask Horse man some questions right now because while Percy was under attack from being Posidons son I have some different questions whats up with all the undead we keep encountering, is that a child of Demeter thing. Should/Can we make some kind of anti-monster defense for our dad. What would happen if we razed Olympus would our mom become new Queen god? What kind of training should we do to make sure we don't die before our teens? tons of shit to ask about and

    Just say he looks Cute or pretty since your just trying to describe someone being attractive but just not in a masculine way. don't overthink it.

    Androgynous is a term for things who dont look like men or women, such as Silhouettes or especially unfortunate people.

    that such an androgynous man is an accepted term and an alternative definition that specifies "said of a person: whose external features do not correspond definitively with those of his sex" so I think that is the correct term to use here since it talks about the characteristics of people scientifically and does not seek to insult just describe

    Yeah, just saying cute or androgenous should be fine, when in doubt, refer to the Rules! They're up there for a reason, and more readable than those contracts of law.

    They are not very clear and are pretty open to abuse as long as you use PC insults.

    We will probably need to either spend a concept on making the plants sapient or maybe we will need to learn another ability after concept imbueing.
     
    We 27/50 in
    Chlorokinesis and we gain 5 exp with 1 action in camp so we need 5 more action more or less to be a Master. We need to train our Concept of Growth since we only got 2 in camp. We gain 6 point in camp on war scythe and we need 44 more point to be Advance meaning we need at least 8 action for it. ​
     
    Thanks @YCG for the math. Personally I would suggest going for chlorokinisis so that we can get the macro version. I feel pretty safe about doing that since we got some good concepts already.

    The person that made the picture got 5 xp and I think they put it in chlorokinesis so we really have 32/50xp

    But what about talking about people who talk about other people talking about it? Are the effects lessened like if we nested a Wand of Cancellation in multiple bags before placing it into a Bag of Holding?

    Oh, will we get a Bag of Holding in this quest? I'd love to be able to carry seeds and plantlings to sic on enemies in a convenient bag!

    People who are talking about people who talk about other people talking about it is fine. Go any further though, and things loop back around to not okay. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the penalty involves this Quest becoming a NSFW fan fic about Harry Potter and his House Elf and no one wants that.

    Review of what? Plans to make Spartan armor out of dandelions? The thread is a slow moving one and the only reason a mod could have to do such a thing is if traffic picked up by 200% or if they were making a blatant show of power.
     
    As an analysis of the votes were certainly set on Blossom (I'd be disappointed if we weren't)

    But after that its very close between Chiron (at 17), Willow (at 17), and Justin Gatlin (at 16). So with those so close, I'd suggest people analyze their votes on what they think about those three.
