[][Trent the Vamp] Write-in.

Ugh, it was a trap. Ok, plan time!

[][Trent the Vamp] Use your seeds to grow spikes and impale a path out of the swarm.

If we impale a path out of the swarm, we could take out a number of zombies and have a way to escape this area, but it would take a lot out of us and Trent the βρυκόλακας (might recognize them as vrykolakas, see wikipedia) would still be there with an unknown amount of zombies (seriously, how many are there? It just describes them a horde).

[][Trent the Vamp] Try diplomacy, surely the vampire man can be reasoned with.

I doubt we can diplomance our way out of this: he brought us here to kill us and we suck at Social skills. What could we offer that he wants more than killing us and even if we could offer something, what's to keep him from taking what he wants from us and killing us anyway? So, talking seems to be out.

[][Trent the Vamp] Try and kill Trent with a surprise attack involving thrown plant seeds and piercing plants.

Fighting/targeting him does seem like a possibilty. He's possibly our biggest single thread, we don't know what abilities or such he has. It might be possible that if we take him out the zombies all collapse into dust or it could be he's restrainingthem because he wants to be the one to finish us. On the positive side, it does describe the only way to defeat a vrykolakas is on a Saturday (because they're in their grave? I don't know if this applies in Riordanverse) by destroying their body totally. Beheading, exorsing, especially cremating, cutting into small pieces, and impalement are all described as possible solutions. However, the biggest flaw is if the horde is still there after we take out Trent (or if we fail to take him out), it could be hard to avoid them.

Plus, there's Blossom. Is she a demigod, clear sighted mortal, a monster in on the trap and still pretending to be our friend until she can strike a fatal blow (the later is starting to be unlikely, there's been chances for her to strike us though she could be being incredibly catious and wants to wait until we're totally exhausted). If she's not a monster, we'll want to save her while complicates things.

Blossom might be a demigod or a clear-sighted mortal, but her legs are a problem to us getting away. And I don't know how good her upper body strength is for her to climb a tree, so the best we can do is get away just long enough to help hide her, before we deal with the zombies and vampire. Since I don't think we know how to drive a bus to just high tail ot out of here.

No trees nearby. That sounds like a pretty good idea though, finding a tree and forting up. However, QM describes the area as
You do a quick scan of the area. It seems that Trent knows about your chlorokinesis as there are few plants in the area, just some patches of dirt with weeds and grass in them, not nearly enough to take on the zombie horde that Trent just walked out in front of. He's got that evil smirk on his face, the one that makes people want to punch him. Before your eyes, he starts to transform. His hair, starting from the roots, turns from brown to blood red. His eyes shift from brown to grey.
Basically, bare dirt with patches of weeds and grass and the seeds we have with us are all we have.

@Monk Penguin , could we get some more description of the area? Are we in an abandoned lot, an abandoned section of the city, an abandoned rundown park with most of the plants dead, at an abandoned church, are we even in the city anymore or did Trent take us out of it, ect. What are nearby in the area that we can see, are there walls all around or could we run/escape in any direction, is there a direction with plenty of plants visible or possible (ie, to our right is a sign that read 'Community Park' or such)?

I was thinking, what if we ask the seeds to use the zombies and vamp and food? Roots through their whole body, using them to grow.

Ok, the way you responded is kind of open-ended, so could you clarify? I don't think anyone been talking about totally breaking prophecy and making them not happen. I think everyone's sorta accepted that if a prophecy is amde, it'll happen somehow. I mean, the Greek legends are full of prophecies that people worked to break/avoid and by doing so fulfilled them.

But do you mean, once a prophecy is made it's going carry out like in the book canon with no way to stop or change it (except by using our foreknowledge we can act/plan around how we know the prophecies will turn out), or that we could try and fulfill the prophecies in a slightly different way than canon. I mean, Bianca di Angelo died because 'One will be lost in the land with no rain' and a statue fell on her and she disappeared, instead we could go as they enter the land with no rain 'Ok, maps and compasses, hand them over! If you get seperated from everyone else, you can try to find them again, but if stuff happens and ya can't then just head back toward Camp' (thus being lost from the quest). For 'One shall fall by their father's hand' we could save Zoe then go 'Poseidon, quick knock (or trip) Percy off the cliff and into the water below!' Splosh, one quester who fell by their fathers hand, no need for death.
Ill try and answer this but ive never been the best at laying my thoughts out in a comprehensive manner and just got finished working outside for a while so im hot and tired, i apologize for any inconvenience.

Sort of the way i see it is that going for these 'everything turns out happy cause this was technically fulfilled by this happy work around' things kind of is trying to break fate and gimp the prophecy, we're greek, dealing with greek gods, and the greek prophecy and fates. drama and tragedy is the name of their game. off the top of my head i can think of maybe two people in all of greek myth that didnt get some kind of tragic fate and even then they had to go through alot of shite to get there.
As for Demeter giving us Imperial Gold? Not going to happen, at all. The gods are hard at work keeping the Greeks and the Romans seperated, they're not going to suddenly hand over Roman stuff to the Greeks.

On an additional note, I doubt the chariot and sword that Demeter uses are Imperial Gold at all. Demeter is a purely Greek God, she wouldn't get roman things, her Roman alter Ceres would. It would be far easier to simply use some sort of metal that looked like gold (how hard would it be for Hephaestus to make celestial bronze appear like gold? He is the god his his craft.) or just was pumped full of divine power that it shines like gold.
when i mentioned demter having imperial gold its cause i was looking at the wiki for her of the percy jackson books, where in her greek form she is explicitly mentioned as having a imperial gold sword with a curve too it. also mentioned is that shes highly skilled in its use but also uses it to cut grain.

said wiki also mentions that demeter is the second oldest of the gods and the only one of the original six gods to still bring about demigods since her sisters swore to not have children/break marriage vows and the big three have sworn off women since ww2. (she is also mentioned to be weaker than hera and the big three but stronger than hestia)

edit: going in and looking at the wiki for imperial gold it mentions that camp halfblood has had contact with it before but calls it rare like the romans do with celestial bronze, which they also call rare. at the very least its known atleast one greek demigod had a imperial gold sword and the romans used to have some celestial bronze weapons in their armory.

We are literally next to an empty getaway vehicle. Lets use it. If we have trouble reaching the peddles, we borrow our friend's crutches. We don't need to drive particularly well or fast, just faster than zombies and the fat vampire, which aren't noted to be particularly fast.

Trent is the one in control of the monsters here we can handle the swarm, but He is the real threat so we should handle them first

It occurs to me that if our fatalistic constraints bother us overly much we can kill the Fates.
When the weavers of fate die so to will fate and all men shall finally be free men!

Then maybe we can grow something around Blossom to act like protection? It definitely depends on our seeds, but since we can more or less make them sharp now, we can probably maks them cut through concrete to root them in the ground below. And they even offer protection to Blossom so long as she stays inside the barrier we form around her....Are her crutches made of wood? If so, we might be able to use those to our advantage.

Either way, she's a disability.

Honestly its hard to forget fully once youve been doing it for a few years so probably. the bigger issue is can we drive wheel and actually reach petals and see out the window at the same time, kids are rather short at that age.

I knew how to drive at seven, and I wasn't reincarnated. XP
Sooooo... I don't believe we don't know how to drive.

I learned at about eleven , so a little later than you. But not everyone does.

And so far in this life, we clearly haven't ever been behind a wheel. I don't think Blossom has either, what with the accident that crippled her. So...do we remember how to? Did we ever drive in our former life?

Which is why I suggested the crutches. Use them for the peddles, and stand in the bus driver's seat, or sit on knees. Or just have Blossom operate the pedals. Or we operate them.

We just got done with our graduation before we died, so probably. College graduation, probably, because we were moving to a new city for work.

Ok, I was wrong. I didn't know that and that's actually pretty interesting. Good catch on all that.

We don't know how fast the vrykolakas is, and depending on the supernatural monsters to not be something sounds like asking for trouble. There's been plenty of monsters that are both large and fast. The vrykolakas could be fat because he's full of all the blood he's drained instead of him being out of shape, the wikipedia sort of suggests that, which means he isn't fat he's full of blood which he draws energy from.

On top of that, we don't know if there are mortals around and we'd raise a bunch of trouble if we're reported to the police as two kids taking a bus for a joyride, as all the mortals would start to see us as that. I'm all for never depending on mortals to see/understand the situation through the mist enough to mark us as innocent and victims, they'd probably not notice all the monsters and just see us trying to drive the bus. If there are no mortals around, then it's more possible, but mortals are likely to come across us if we're driving away (basically, the more we travel, the more likely we are to come across/be seen by mortals) and not understand we're under attack and get upset at us.

Plus, there's the actual driving. We're probably not too good at that and could crash the bus or hit someone else, not to mention we don't know if we could even get away. Even if we're somehow able to drive a car depending on our past memories after years have passed without driving and using crutches to press the pedals, knowing how to drive a car is pretty different from being able to drive a bus. Bus are different from cars, they're much larger, with more powerful engines, have a larger turning radius, and so forth.

Plus, what do we do if we somehow do actually escape? We don't know where we are right now, we can't drive all the way back to the school, and we can't use a phone or such to call for our dad without alerting ever monster nearby that we're demigods and where our exact location is. The monsters we just escaped would be able to find us along with any other monsters nearby in addition.

Plus, if we somehow escape and get all the way home, then what? The monsters already know where we go to school, they know where Samuel Woods lives and likely the same for Blossom. If we leave, they can just try again. They can go for Blossom when she's not with us, they can target us at other times.

However, all the monsters are all gathered up here, right now. All the monsters that we know of that have identified us as demigods are here. If we could take them out, we'd be much safer, not be under siege/occasional attack, other monsters are less likely to find out about us without the zombies standing outside our house staring at us, and such.

EDIT:
I am surprised no one is voting to get back on the bus and drive it all the way to the middle of camp half-blood.
I'm just imagining how the mortals would interpret us doing that with the Mist, and then have us seeing us mentioned on news as runaway kids stealinga bus...

we kinda don't know where that is besides that its next to water
It's apparently on Long Island Sound? No idea about where that is geographically.

Oh, and we don't know where we are currently, with the monsters having driven us westward, apparently.

Alright, so running away might not be a good idea. Let's brainstorm a way out of this situation. Trent is the biggest problem, but a horde of zombies can also be overwhelming.

So we need a way to immobilize Trent just enough to kill the zombies. Maybe by making the plants caging him sharp enough to cut?

And if the zombies are in a state of advanced decomposition, maybe our plants whatever they are can use their bodies to grow...but how exhausted would this leave us? If we can even do it. Even a few would still be enough to at least give us better odds.

I'm seriously hoping Blossom is a demigod and her power manifest, because we're seriously screwed otherwise.

With Trent gone they'll probably either continue to attack us or all just turn into dust. If they continue to attack us, we can use the narrow bus entrance to keep them from swarming us with their numbers and we can try and use that to dust them with minimal effort. Heck, we could either just do that by planting a plant by the bus door or use crutches to kill them coming in one at a time. Plus, Blossom won't be having to run, if we're staying on the bus.

I just slightly editted my vote, so it's dusting the zombies only if they're attacking. I don't know if you care or not, but I figured I would let you know.

The only issue I have with attacking Trent is that it might not succeed. But even if it doesn't, taking shelter within the bus makes sense. We can always open or break a window on the other side or the back to escape.

Especially if we get the zombies and/or Trent to follow us inside the bus. Leave a few seeds near the door that we don't grow unless we need to block off the only escape. Maybe grow similar vines on the smashed window, if we end up needing to book it.
