What is Fate? (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Quest)

9/11 is actually a surpsingly complex set of events from what i remember. Something about a bomb threat having happened before hand at the towers that didnt actually do anything and thus made people not take things not as seriously the second time. One guy definitely taking it serious and evacuating his area when the first plane hit (when people still thought it was an accident) and atleast 4 planes having actually been involved.

The actual complexity of the event, if we could do anything about it (which i doubt), or if we could do anything about it without calling down all kinds of wrong attention on us (which i majorly doubt) and all of that aside im not sure this is an actual appropriate topic to talk about.

I was more on the side of causing a region wide airport panic. If all you do is damage control one (two) target(s) then I don't think that counts as a stop.

It's a part of the world the quest is taking place in. Not the most major part, but I think it'd be kind of OOC for a character with future information like that to just let stuff happen. It takes away their agency.
Why wouldn't this be appropriate?

Why would this not cause massive amounts of attention to be dropped unto us?

I think youd be surprised to find that a number of people would just let some things happen. I cant speak for everyone but i know personally making a decision on something like this would cause me a ton of internal strife and be a constant list of pros and cons and why i should and why i shouldnt.

How does it not occur to you that this is a deeply personal topic for some people and is all around uncomfortable to talk about?

Never said it wouldn't. I just think it'd be worth it. No good deed goes unpunished. The only hope is that the good deed is done and done well.

At some point, all things enter into the historical domain. It's just shy of 20 years ago. There are lots of things that are ongoing in this country and outside of it that would be in poor taste to talk about in the context of this quest. The most major event of 21st Century History is a bit beyond that at this point. Unless someone explicitly says that it makes them uncomfortable. For some people, it is deeply personal, yes. But it's up to those people to make that clear with everyone around them, because that's not something that can just be assumed going into a conversation.

We don't have to drag this out, your point is communicated.

either way, exploit future knowledge for money to buy mundane world things...like more plants, or a forest, and cookies.

Yeah, let's switch over to the less heavy stuff, buying stock and using it to have our own nature preserve where we can prototype all our broken boy genius experiments.

Ill apologize actually, you're right. Im not actually old enough to have even definite memories of the event but when i was growing up it was a taboo topic that we werent really supposed to talk about and those feelings have kinda lingered.

One of my hang ups about it wouldnt be that its bad but of its possible ramifications on the nation and even the world at large given just how much changed from this event and the following ones.

This would be much better. Notably i wanted to bring up that if we wanted to sell our plants or their seeds legally we'd have to join a company or start one and wanted to know where you all weighed in on that. Notably the sales of said seeds or plants could go into buying land.

Well, Camp Half Blood already fronts as a Strawberry Distributor. We could start there.

Though I always thought it if you had produce you can just post up somewhere with a sign and a watermelon. No paperwork needed.
Maybe it's cause I'm in the south and that's not something that happens north of Maryland.

As someone also in the south im pretty used to it not being a big deal but the setting is fairly north and i do think their are technically laws on the matter but i cant be sure given the year and setting.

Maybe we pretend to be Mennonites?
Not actually the worst idea, but probably unnecessary. Looking at new yorks laws for selling seeds its actually not terrible, basically quality insurance from what i can understand although i might have missed something.

Selling actual plants is unfortunately a bit more tricky if were trying to do so above board, cause while you can probably get away with a few garage sells and such, there are certain kinds of permits and licenses you need and you need to have an inspector look at the plants to ensure no disease or pest.

Only issue I see with the war scythe is that it doesn't mesh with the voters' play style. Its real benefits come from hitting advanced/mastery and people never vote to train it that much so progress stays slow. So I can see why the GM is hinting at us to switch to something thats easy to train quickly in the lower ranks so we can keep focusing on our powers. As long as the majority are willing to consistently train our war scythe and sometimes leave our powers by the wayside then I see no issue in keeping it.

I was thinking of using my EXP on the scythe if we decided to keep it. I've been waiting for the next update.

Every little bit helps in the face of a deadly quest we are about to go on. Although I will say voting habits are difficult to change in a quest until something negative happens in the story hence why I'll vote to switch to a sword and hope it wins.

Then I wish you luck in the wars to come.

[X][Quest!] Go! You go with Blossom (and one other person) to "seek springtime's basket"

I'm far from an expert, but IIRC armor needs to be fitted to be of any help. Since we're growing, we'll constantly have to get our armor re-fitted... unless it grows as well. How lucky that growth is literally our core concept.

We could probably make something like leaf-patterned wooden scale-mail infused with durability.

Couldnt remember if I had already voted so here is my vote.
And weighing in on war scyth. I don't want to change it. I feel like it would weaken him more short term to switch now. Than it would benefit him long term.

Uhhhm, are there already works like Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime out as Anime's? That would be pretty dank, we could get a TV or take the TV available at camp and make a night, where all the demigods just think "WTF?"

That would get the camp attacked by a small army, IIRC.

With the nasuverse anime and books that demi god can copy some thing with idea of concepts as power and weapon. I thing the gods (not just the greek/roman pantheon) would try not have the demi gods see it since they would be more powerfull. Of coerce that assuming they have it and could be even different.
