From what I can tell, Thalia becomes a tree in 2001 and it's currently 1998.

Because the universe is surprisingly grim and fatalistic?
I...Ive mentioned this several times? Did no one see that?
Yeah, me too! And I'm a man! You'd be a middle-school bully too if your parents named you Karen.
So in comes a a thing to think about.Wait, it's not quite unprotected. From what I can tell, it's still magically protected, it's just not as strong as with Thalia's Tree. Currently, the stronger monsters should be able to break in. It was Thalia's being turned into a tree at her near-death that strengthened the camp borders so no monsters could come in, that's why Luke poisoned the tree to weaken the border.
Hence the whole quest for the Golden Fleece to heal the tree (and to rescue Grover), which had the unexpected effect (at least to the Campers, Luke apparently planned for it?, which would explain why he was willing to poison Thalia's Tree) of turning her back into a human and curing her of her wounds/poisoning since she never died but instead was changed into the tree. The Golden Fleece also kept the borders as strong as Thalia's Tree, so the camp protected were back at full strength.
We could always try to use our concept plant thing to try to form a shield, might not be as strong but it's always a option.
First off, Thalia never dies. She was dying and Zeus turned her into a tree to save her and to prevent monsters from attacking the camp and putting the Gods children at risk again. So in comes a a thing to think about.
Should we let Thalia die?
Cause on the one hand its messed up to just let a kid die and if kept alive she could get stronger than in canon (although this opens up the option of Luke corrupting her or her own hatred of Hera causing her to rebel.) but on the other if we prevent her death then her tree will never exist, her tree never exist and the camps borders are never as strong as they were in canon and might lead to the deaths of even more demigods additionally the golden fleece is never recovered to save said tree (although if the same thing happens to Grover than it might be recovered anyway, just maybe at bit more useless than before.)
hm fair on the not technically dead but i didnt really think that being a tree would be considered 'life' as most would know it.First off, Thalia never dies. She was dying and Zeus turned her into a tree to save her and to prevent monsters from attacking the camp and putting the Gods children at risk again.
We could go on a Quest for the Golden Fleece to strengthen the camp borders. What I'm more worried is the Prophecy of the Big Three, that was why she was so important originally, everyone was thinking she was the one in the Quest (which is part of why Grover was so depressed when he found Percy was the son of Poseidon and the Minotaur was hunting them down, it was Thalia all over again).
Then again, Thalia does make it pretty clear she doesn't want to be the child of the prophecy and joins the Hunters of Artemis. She nearly joins them before she even got to camp, refusing because she felt she couldn't just leave Luke and Annabeth with all the monsters hunting them.
We could also explain the prophecy to everyone in exacting detail and watch the nuclear god fireworkshm fair on the not technically dead but i didnt really think that being a tree would be considered 'life' as most would know it.
honestly the only way thing to do with Thalia ending up as the child of prophecy would probably be to either let it happen, let her canon fate happen, chuck her in the lotus hotel/casino, or actually convince her that the hunters would be better (we'd have to fight Annabeth and Luke, and maybe some others in camp, whod all be trying to get her to stay.)
If you guys are looking for offense, we need to have a weapon before getting a sharper one.
If we aren't in parks, or woods (which only the dumbest monsters would fight us in) we need to be able to get plants on demand.
Ideally we could make a pant based weapon as well. A walking stick with some creeper attached? A bonsai we carry around?
Since our plants have the monster killing properties of celestial bronze.
We should also see if plant based poisons can kill monsters. Cyanide's a bitch.
Last suggestion. Start actively worshipping mom... and Ares.
He's a jerk, but his domains jell with our powers better than Athena's.
"To be green of soul, but red of tooth and claw."
Should be out mantra.
iirc they actually had a fair grip on what it means or atleast everyone had their own interpretations of what it meant. We could also explain the prophecy to everyone in exacting detail and watch the nuclear god fireworks
also id point out that the grass sword from adventure time might actually be in the cards if we need it. although id prefer something like a spear made from living wood. stab an enemy and break off the top and the part left inside starts growing inside them (think hellboy two but more nature themed i guess.)
Drop really large coconuts on enemiesBow could work with piercing. A blowgun might be a better choice though.
Piercing arrows or seeds, then Make them start growing once embeded in someone.
Even better if they are poisonous pants!
Good way to get a lot out of a small amount on magic too!
Giving offerings and hoping for boons in exchange is worship.First of all, it's kinda weird to worship your parent. Percy sent offerings to his dad every now and then, but that was the limit of the worship he did, and it's not really either necessary or very beneficial. Also, Ares is a colossal jerk and there is no reason that his abilities gel with our powers better than Athena's. If anything Ares is just about brute force and that's not what our powers are about.
Giving offering and hoping for boons in exchange is worship.
These are Hellenistic gods, not christ.
As for Ares. Yes. He gels with the naturalistic predator/prey survival of the fittest mindset that will be useful for turning plants into deadly engines of Carnage.
HUGE douche, but useful.
