What is Fate? (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Quest)

Realistically though Artemis would be more suited to the kind of naturalistic fighting style we use since she's the goddess of hunters, though she might not appreciate a boy's offerings.
Issues aside yeah. There are a number of God's and goddesses we could potentially try and get boons from.

Demeter is the standout one. Artemis would be great, but she as you said, hates guys.

I'm kind of hoping Demeter also embodies the "survival of the fittest" aspect of nature, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

Hopefully what the gods like/dislike and what boons they are willing to offer will be covered at camp.

Edit: Percy only survived a number of times because of his father's divine intervention. I want to stack the deck there as hard as we can.

Bow could work with piercing. A blowgun might be a better choice though.

Piercing arrows or seeds, then Make them start growing once embeded in someone.

Even better if they are poisonous pants!

Good way to get a lot out of a small amount on magic too!
Yeah i mentioned some of those a while back, could kick help the whole thing along by using saw leaves for arrowheads, help cut down on use of celestial metals and add another vector for plant based carnage. Maybe figure out how to cross Dendrocnide moroides with the leaf heads so that they hurt like hades for extra fun.

Still think that exploding moss can be upped into something...use it to make plant muskets/cannons? default it to living shrapnel mines? eh ill think on it.

Demeter is pretty tough iirc having created winter cause she was upset but she's also one of the Olympians that was actively liked cause she didn't throw blessings that doubled as curses around. Although she is the goddess of the cycle of life and death so that might be what you're looking for.

As far as worship goes... I was honestly mostly speaking about building a small private shrine to Demeter in the woods. It shouldn't take too much work on our part (make it out of living plants), and can serve as a place to get out of the crowded Hermes cabin, and carryout our plant based experiments.

I am kind of curious to see if we can get more juice by being in a place holy to Demeter.

i like the idea but i wouldnt put stock in us being in Hermes cabin for long. Even if the zombies arent connected to Ma tree in someway we do literally control plants and (i think) have the typical look and mortal parent of a demeter child

[X][Imbue] Imbue the plant with the concept of durability. That way it will be harder for you enemies to break free from them.
[X][Trent] Decline ("Maybe some other time")
Were not fight sized yet.

Why would we go to the Hermes cabin we already know our Parent?

So now that I am thinking of it I wonder.
If we get Thalia to join the hunters early, can we save Zoë?

[X][Trent] Accept (call your dad and let him know)

Piercing -> Razor Leaf

No cause then Luke would just Artemis instead of just his dad, and Thalia still has no reason to join a group full of strangers for people she considereds her family
I think hades also got skipped for superstitious reasons or something equally stupid.
They didn't like Hades enough and had some rule about how it can only be 12 Olympians which is why Hesta had to step down for Dionysus no one wanted to step down for him

Ah, politics.

I'm still thinking blowgun. Archery would be good in the future, but I don't think we have the physique for it at the moment.

Maybe we can apply GROWTH to ourself?

we already kinda are. thats why our exp is pretty good right now.

blowgun is neat but im still thinking about that exploding moss. if we can get it to work right we could have a all natural projectile launcher (which us and our siblings could heavily abuse)

Same issue as leaning into our power. Needs magic to work.

Unless we manage to breed super moss, which will take a while.

How useful exactly do you expect this moss to be, The Greeks already have greek fire in abundance so why would we need to use our time making a explosive moss.
How useful? Eh mildly atleast, its the shrapnel grenade/mine to Greek fires napalm. The moss atleast has the advantage of regrowing and more effects beyond scorched earth (especially since the way i think of being it is that it violently blast out seeds/whatever, which either then makes more of the moss or the other exotic seed effects that well probably make will activate.)
