And our way is "Our Way Is Every Way", going by existing precedent. We aren't leaning on people to be any one thing, only to pick goddamn something and excel in it to the point they are writing the book for that field. Even our utterly insane augmentation regimen augmented us in asymmetric ways that can't be measured or compared to one another in terms of value.

A clever raven thieving secrets and a living cannon that revels in maximum collateral damage are equally worthy.

I'd certainly hope so. We'll still have her ear and will still likely be necessary but I have no issue with out being second fiddle here. Halsey is willing to damn herself as much as is necessary but is surprisingly reasonable for a mad scientist.

With that much blackmail material I can tell you that, yeah, she isn't going to be worried about budget issues.

I mean, S-III original pitch was "Like S-II, less combat effective, but cheaper and mass producible."
Considering what S-II project achieved in this timeline, this might be a tall order.

Also Magoose, how many in Fleetcom and ONI know full details about about S-II project and Spartans capabilities?

Halsey is reasonable because she is someone who cares about us. That's one thing.

Second thing: I think that Blackmail Material will basically make her Head of ONI in less than a year... because she's the only one who isn't a goddamn asshole, who believes that they can play god on a daily basis with the future of humanity.

Third thing: We're the one getting the information... We're probably going to be seeing a few promotions in the Spartans ranks coming soon.

Considering he is after Us and Kirk, I think he realizes that, and decided he will do anything, by any means nessecary to make sure he can get his grubby little hands on the man who made it possible.

Us. Kirk is just the guy that can turn those traumatized war orphans into weapons of mass destruction. He's just that good.

Fleetcom: About four in total know the full detail, the rest know bits an pieces.

ONI: Bout half the stiffs that have sticks up their asses know about the S-II's. Only, Halsey has been very careful with the way she worded our augmentation report so... not everyone knows that we have super powers that borderline make us a seprate sub spieces of hummanity.

Which, thanks to our lovely work, means that everyone in all of humanity can potentially become if we try our damndest... though only if we start in utero.

And only if Halsey started to do things behind our back.

The question is "how much less?" since while in canon they were roughly a match physically for the IIs they had worse armor which overall resulted in some significantly worse combat performance. If they don't account for the superpowers we've got, then they may be able to still do that (heck, with our work on MJOLNIR armor they might be able to get that too). If they want to try to give the IIIs superpowers too... that's basically impossible to do without Halsey and the Spartan IIs helping out.

also remember when we added stuff to the beacon involving Slipspace?

well it fixed quite a few slipspace problems that the UNSC had.

Well here is the thing: our papers and research has circulated around ONI. Though through no lack of trying to stop it on ours and Halsey's part

they can't replicate it perfectly... but they can replicate it... with horrific casualties. And by god, without us running the show, there will be casualties.

Say, if Ackerson somehow manages to kidnap us, unlikely since I don't think this guy knows about our magics extend, maybe rumor and speculation but he would underastimate us with superpowers practically never before seen, if we let ourselves be captured, what is stopping us from killing him or mind controlling him and hijacking 'his' S-III project?

Eh, I am not picky just want to with go Dr. Thrax route. We are already a Doc,have Super science and some common sense, so why not bioweapons?
 
Team Noble should be babies or little kids right now, right? Assuming the first-gen of the S3 project die because of casualties trying to figure out the upgrades, that means that they (noble team) are not in much danger of that butterfly but could potentially still be S3. Halsey is probably on route for ONI leadership, so Noble 6 could be butterflied (assuming Halsey treats the S3's like the S2's, which to my understanding should, right?). How are you going to go for Noble 6 backstory?
