Hey @Magoose if we fail a station upgrade roll will we be able to try agan next turn or is it gone for good? (Please say rerollable I really want a fully armed and operational battlestation)

Hello spacestation, I am Giancarlo. This is what is going to happen:
We will upgrade you and you are going to like it:​
Onboard Generators for more power,​
A industry so we can make more stuff,​
A Slipspace drive to run like hell when needed,​
And extra armor because you can never have enough armor (except if we nat 100 that and somehow develop shields... maybe).​
If, if you are a really good boy (girl?), we may upgrade your weapons next turn.

(by the way, do spacestations have that same thing going on with gendering like ships do?)

I think it has more to do with the station's purpose. For example, the Ark was supposed to seed life, from indexed species, across the galaxy after the Halo rings fired.

A battle station could be called something like Warden or Legacy.
