Ah, okay. I try pretty hard to not skim things most of the time, but I'm still adjusting off a sleep schedule modified by being at the hospital for multiple hours a day for multiple days. No worries then.

And I very much wish you all the best success for your quest!

[] The Shallyan Doves: Approaching with care and more respect than any group thus far, the doe-eyed Shallyan matron Klare Wasquelle assures you that her flock of healers, speakers and caretakers will ask for little and give much, if only for the chance to deny the plaguemaker his due and Morr too many early deaths. Life, as she says, is too precious to waste.
Klare Wasquelle is 100% a vampire. "ask for little and give much" is already all but explicitly saying she's a blood-drinker who feeds from her patients, and "Life is too precious to waste" is an outright smoking gun.

Can we wait to have actual evidence before accusing people of being monsters and traitors? Those are entirely reasonable things for a Shallyan to say.

I mean being a Shallyan would be a decent cover for a vampire, especially if they have the full gloves and perfumed mask on. Being a bit blood-splattered would even be expected sometimes!
It would be even more effective if the vampire was legitimately good at being a medic and giving bedside comfort/care.

See? Official explicit GM confirmation that almost half of every female Shallyan is a Lahmian in disguise. (The male ones are Blood Dragons.)

Ok moving away from the whole Cult situation since we are to be settling near a plain and swamp we are probably gonna face some terror birds and ostrich like creatures in the area of the plains and Llamas which can be domesticated and maybe some Saber tooths cause we are in fantasy south america and smilodons were big there also massive likelihood of herd of stegodons there and in the swamps would be either birds monkeys and giant salamander all things that sell well in the exotic market back home so more avenues for resources to gather.

Like the sale of mallus equivalent birds of paradise to the highest bidder and parrots to the nobility and the rare fruits and vegetables from lustria that sell alot. Like In irl with pineapples considered a mark of great wealth and royalty its weird but true so we can maybe do that here with a rare and exotic fruit or plant. Here it's strange but fun

King Pine, The Pineapple - Historic UK

Hard to believe now, but in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries pineapples were such a status symbol for the very rich that they were quite often rented for special occasions...

We should form a brigade of Llama cavalry. Before you say its impossible let me remind you that halflings ride chickens into battle.

I think a better idea would be an exchange of domesticated terror birds that either the skinks or the Amazon's have as cavalry the Llamas are basically gonna be a food and fur source.

You know if we get that far a skink beast tamer would be great as to tame the more dangerous fauna of lustria. If not a Amazon beast tamer would suffice. Just need to give them either skaven to sacrifice or artifacts to return.

the Moot's biggest export is now grandiose myths about the traditions, mores, and legends of the county. Some of these include:

* Inventing outlandish Halfling history, regaling tourists with tales of epic battles and particularly unique troops, such as Swan Riders and Badger Knights. (Halfling Ram Cavalry are real, however, and terrifying to behold.)
With the goats we're importing, maybe we can make a cavalry regiment out of them.

If we're settling near a swamp, then we're definitely getting horrifying mega-mosquitos and we need not just the Shallyans we're getting now, but probably additional Shallyans later, and maybe some swamp drainers at some point (idk, some mage group)

Thankfully we are a coastal settlement hopefully Leaning towards the plains though there's problems with that as well with predators that are in the plains like cold one packs or terradons or even a carnosaurs using it as a game trail. And then there's the coastal predators of giant crabs big apes and sea monsters looking for food also the cannibal tribes and savage orcs running about. Basically I'm picturing lustria similar too peter Jackson's king Kong at times. Cause it think it would be appropriate.

If we have oil of some kind, we can spread it across the bodies of water that they breed in. Apparently this was done in real life to combat malaria or yellow fever, I can't remember which.
Huh... you know I just had a thought, Rapunzel might have to learn magic from humans. We can draw on them a hell of a lot easier than we can pull a full mage from Ulthuan to teach her. I think there might be some wizards who would be interested to try, there should be plenty of Teclis' students still alive, Magnus has only been dead for a few decades and wizards are more long lived than ordinary people naturally.
I wonder if we can have a Slann or at least a Skink priest teach her if we play our cards right?

There's more to being a good teacher than having a high stat in the relevant field, and I don't think lizardmen are good for teaching warmbloods anything outside of the act of storytelling. They don't even teach themselves their skills; they come out of the spawning pools with in-built skills.

IIRC, the Slann literally taught magic to the Elves.

WFRP 4e: Lustria, page 18
The Old Ones then turned their attention to warmblooded races who they believed would be suitable for their plans. They encouraged the development of the Elves, to whom they taught magic, and the Dwarfs, to whom they taught the arts of smithing and stoneworking.

Here we go with the fanon again. Sigh, no it was the Slann not the Old ones, that's partly why the Slann were even created in the first place. Second, yes the Lizardmen can teach skills, they maybe built with some fundamental knowledge, but they do need to train and survive for centuries to be better then what they started out with. Otherwise the entire notion of Scar veterans and Old-Bloods, not only would not exist, but would be an active contradiction on the most fundamental level of their faction as a whole.

Skinks do need to learn skills but sure they are born with innate knowledge but they still need to put that knowledge to use there's a difference between theoretical and practical usage of knowledge and they have ability to innovate atleast i mean the skinks like how they learn different languages like brettonian and reikspiel also skinks are the mortal brand of cast cause they live as long as humans barring sacred or blessed types or ones.

Cause basically the skinks are technically the most human of lizardmen due to there finite life span and there numerous roles in society.
On the point on who taught who I found it strange for the old ones themselves to teach the elves and the dwarves instead of there stewards cause why would gods themselves teach unfinished experiments then just relegating it to there strongest magic wielders subordinates.

My understanding is that while skinks can learn new things and grow in skill, teaching isn't something that they do outside of storytelling. If there's any information contradicting then then sure, I'm just not aware of that information.
