-[X] Build accomodations

-[X] Settle.

The construction ran smoothly enough, the autumn wind carrying with it the last wiwps of summer's warmth. Or it was the muggle city burning, Dace thought whimsically as he took in his town's less gifted neighbor, watching impassively as a building crumbled. Yes, definitely the fires.

He would normally have intervened in some fashion, however, he had it on good authority that the city had been evacuated, mostly due to the muggle-repelling charms the land had been doused with. He turned around, moving away from the window as he strolled in the office he had ordered built for himself, the soles of his shors echoing in the room due to the lack of furniture.

Making sure people installed themselves in an orderly fashion was a chore, especially since those ones liked to complain, but in the end, it was done to his standards. However, security was a concern now, as he screening process had to be hurried in order not to make the innocents wait for too long.

-[X] Militia.
86

Perhaps it was Ishmael's eye for talent, or the fact the current climate made it so people rearmed themselves, the fact was that producing a building for the militia and finding people to man it was frightfully easy. Though they were untrained, there was some potential here. However, as soon as the basics were built, Ishmael immediately switched to his other project, leaving Angus to take care of it, the younger man gritting his teeth but going along with it.

Other than the occasional fighting, there wasn't much more to do than train.

Militia building built ! + 30 Militia units! See informational section for more information.

December 22nd, 1983

-[X] Secret Ops.
65 + 20 (PS)

The building was plain. Well, plain wasn't really the word Dace would have used here, but more like inconspicuous. As inconspicuous as a trapdoor in his wine cellar could be anyways.

Still, as he went down said trapdoor, carefully so as to not slip on the metallic ladder, the stone surrounding him soon disappeared, revealing a massive ceiling, of a massive underground field, complete with artificial sun. His new advisor sure used his money for all its worth.

He finally touched gound and walked in the field, the long grass barely concealing a massive bunker. Ishmael was waiting him here clad in military garb and grunted in greetings, before signalling for him to follow inside the base. Around them, people were running in obvious panic, looking at the duo in obvious fear.

"The newbies've been busy." He answered to Dace's unspoken question as they arrived in front of a plain wall that opened when the military man glared at it, revealing a surprisingly tidy office, with a massive desk and shelves lining the walls from floor to ceiling.

"Things've gone down the drain around here, but two things stood out. First." he showed Dace a folder revealing a man in a crisp black suit that somehow fitted his massive frame, his face covered by a mask, holding an ice cream in his hand and his other holding on a little girl's, who had pale skin and shockingly white hair, a white summer dress, and was licking her own ice cream cone. Around them, one could see corpses and burning buildings.
"That's the Alley Man. He's been dragging that kid around. Probably to toughen her up, but the spied used that to keep tabs on them. Second." Ishmael's face showed his exasperation as a folder appeared from thin air.

Wait, no, it was a man who was holding it. How didn't Dace notice him earlier? He was lounging on a giant red sofa and drinking wine for goodness' sake!

"Second." Ishmael continued, ignoring the man who was waving lazily. " Your daughter has been busy."

Dace didn't like the man's tone, but opened the file, his eyebrows rising the more he read.

Apparently, Ishmael took upon himself to investigate in London and chanced upon Aife, who was leading groups of survivors out of the fires. Remembering the she wasn't supposed to be there, he followed, arriving to a warehouse chock full of people and he inserted in one of the groups, asking questions.

Apparently, Aife was the leader of a settlement Northwest of London, and had been saving people left and right, sending them to said unnamed settlement. When the sighal came, the protkeys activated and Ishmael was left alone in the warehouse.

"She really is a proactive woman, isn't she?" The man, Reaver -since when was he here?! Oh, wait, nevermind, he was always here- laughed, toying with his wine glass, and being most unhelpful.

Now Dace had a choice to make.

[] Write-in what will the spies do. Either the Jack Matter, or the Aife Matter, or Nothing.

In any case, he had things to do, Aife's potential betrayal did remind him of the necessity of obtaining a spare heir, which is why he headed up to his laboratory, cracked open the emergency box and get to work. The winter solstice was rapidly approaching, so Dace decided to make use of that. It was strange that there were six blood vials, when he only filled four, but he didn't detect anything from them, so he shrugged and dumped them in the cauldron like the rest.
Hm. I suppose I can chip in for this one, if only because otherwise this will end in tears. Again.

Possible genetic traits (-5 DC each):
From Dace:

Genius
Blood of Scathach

From Elizabeth:

Beautiful
Bright

From Aife:

A face of a thousand ships
Wrath of the North
Valleys and mountains
Sylph

Ethereal Voice
Bright

From Rosier:

Green hand
Animagus potential

From ???:

Genius
Blood of Scathach

Beautiful

From ???

Sylph
Heroic Bloodline (???)

The Great
Endowed
642. (87 + 97 + 24 + 77 + 94 + 47 + 65 + 30 + 13 + 2 + 95 + 11 = 642)

Dace looked critically at the child, a boy, apparently, and to his frustration, said child didn't inherit his family's bloodline, meaning he would have to try again later on or see his family go extinct.

The boy becan screaming, like all childred do, and he put him on a stone table, the enchantments arcing around the small figure and revealing his capacities.

Due to ???'s intervention, regular genetic traits are also available to the heir, not only the ones their genetic donors held. + 10 to all rolls for the character creation.

Herculean : +8 Martial, +3 Diplomacy, +30 armed combat. Slightly longer lifespan.
The Great : +4 Di, +2 Ma, + 20 Presence, +10 Manipulation.
Sylph : +8 Speed, +40 Movement, +2 Ma, +10 Combat
Genius: +5 all stats, +5 all skills
Fair: +3 Di, +20 Presence
Oh dear, three bloodlines and the child got nothing, how sad. One can wonder who should be blamed here, luck, or the brewer?

Other than the lack of the most important thing, the child seemed to be much stronger than a regular baby, taller and with fast reflexes. Still, there was room for him to put in some changes, the question was, what did he wish to do ?

Due to Dace preferring power to gender, and letting Nature run its course, Dace may choose to rank up one of the child's genetic trait, or obtain one of the following traits :
Fascinating voice: +3 Di,+2 In + 10 Presence
Fertile : +10% Fertility
Green thumb: +10 to gardening rolls
Clear blood: +1 My
Morph: May change eye and hair color at will
You begin with 10 20 points, you may choose any drawback or perks as long as the numbers are there, regardless of the extra genetic traits (rolled to inherit).
Don't bother saying thanks.

Choose perks:

Tier one: -5 points

[]Shrewd: This child is smarter than average. May evolve or disappear during childhood.
[]Brawny: This child is stronger than average. May evolve or disappear during childhood.
[]Clear blood: This child is a bit stronger magically: May evolve or disappear during childhood.

Tier two: -10 pts

Magical ancestry: The child is descended from an ancient creature, or previous experiments on the bloodline caused the genes to become a bit... Quirky.

[]Vampire: Get Night Owl (Every activity gets a boost at night)
[]Centaur: Get (or boost) Foresight
[]Siren: Get Mesmerism (ability to fascinate other people)
[]Veela: Get Pyromancy
[]Atlantean: Get Ancient knowledge (boost when uncovering ancient mysteries)
[]Mermaid: Get Hydromancy

Tier three: Legendary ancestry; -15 points Those will help the child's development in several ways, though Dace doesn't know how

[]The sword that slayed the king. Intrigue/Martial Already taken
[]Monster hunter. Martial/Stewardship
[]The shadow queen. Intrigue/Learning Already taken
[]Times immemorial. Mysticism/Willpower
[]Paradigm. Martial/Willpower

Tier four: Resurgence of the Old World: -20 points One of those gods will favor the child, and Dace by extension.

[]Ceridwen Do I have to? I know I owe you but- Oh, okay, fine. This is going to be unpleasant.
[]Odin Good girl.

Choose drawbacks: As in, things that will actively try to screw th boy's life up. This won't have a direct impact on the difficulty, especially if Dace assigns someone else as heir, but keep that in mind.

Tier One: +5 points

[]dull: This child is a bit slow... May evolve or disappear during childhood.
[]frail:This child is a bit weak... May evolve or disappear during childhood.
[]Iron blood: This child is a bit lacking magically: May evolve or disappear during childhood.

Tier Two: +10 points

[]Vampire: Get Night's bane (weakness to light)
[]Centaur: Get Dionysus' curse (weak to alcohol, will be attracted uncontrolably to alcohol)
[]Siren: Get Birds of a feather ( Random avian physical traits will manifest)
[]Veela: Get Strong allure (People of all ages and genders will be attracted to you, the weaker willed they are...)
[]Atlantean: Get Ancient curse (There is a reason Atlantis lays underneath the ocean. Now that reason's coming for you.)
[]Mermaid: Get A fish in the sea (random mermish physical traits will manifest)

Tier three; Legendary ancestry: +15 points this will dictate what kind of opposition (in form of encounter, events, etc...) the child will meet.

[]The sword that chooses the king. Martial/Diplomacy
[]Wild Hunt. Martial/Stewardship
[]Luck of the Irish. Stewardship/Mysticism
[] Smoke and mirrors. Martial/Willpower

Tier four: Resurgence of the Old World: +20 points Similar to the above, except harder. Choosing any of those puts the gameplay dangerously close to Normal difficulty.

[]Sons of Rome
[]Ragnarök
[]Funeral rites

--[X] Aife
[X]Confront her.

Now that he was pretty satisfied with what he had, he decided this would be the best time to go and have a talk with Aife. For several reasons.

When he arrived to her room, he saw her drinking tea with Monique. Great.

Now he could get answers from them both.

"Father?" Aife looked up at him, taking in the child under his arm with a confused expression on her face, while Monique raised an eyebrow, hiding her mouth behind her hand. This didn't work, he could see the corners of her lips stretching on each side and his own cheeks hurt at how wide the smile was. She then giggled.

"The farce is up, dear."

Aife sighed, before letting her head fall on the table, groaning on what seemed to be annoyance.

"You were supposed to keep it hidden." She whined, as Monique scoffed.

"And you were supposed to stay put. I'm fairly sure your little outing is what got you on his radar."

The young woman groaned in response, before slowly sitting up. Her eyes turned towards the unnamed baby boy and she frowned a bit, before pulling out a set of parchment. The contents?

Aife leaving the Gwallawg family, essentially disinheriting herself, and her divorce with Rosier.

"I was hesitating, but since you've got your spare..." she trailed off, before gettin gup and walking out. Dace was about to follow her when Monique interrupted him, her hands folded under her chin and her eyes giving him a piercing look.

"She won't change her mind about this, I've had two years to work on her." Her face lacked her previous mirth, looking almost solemn. "I've also cleared it with your Albus-mandated babysitter."

She got up slowly, but Dace didn't seem to be able to move. She walked towards him, but he couldn't seem to speak.

She raised her hand to his face.

Her lips moved.

Dace blacked out.

"I'm not sure you will understand what I'm talking about, but now, this is between you and I."

SO, THINGS HAPPENED!
aka : mfw I notice it didn't sent the update for beta when it's finished since a week.

Really tempted to have the confrontation take place before, so I flipped a coin and you lucked out. Rejoice, Monique didn't steal the HCK as she went away!
On another hand, the luck left you when it came to picking up the bloodlines.
Also , Behold ! The power of a grandmaster in Stealth! I wasn't kidding when I was speaking of Imp.
Finally, Background roll-chan literally dragged you into an alley to mug you, that was hilarious. And you didn't get a better Chibi. tough luck.

24 hours votes, any longer and my motivation may decide to go down the drain again.

Hm. I suppose I can chip in for this one, if only because otherwise this will end in tears. Again.

Q&A results
So, a Q&A took place, please read ~

Pandacea
we'll see what she does, I suppose

Also

, the Q&A period of one hour has started, as previously announced. I will answer in a honest, non-mistake inducing way during this period of time. now, let'sa go~

Kufufu
How can we kill off the courts in ten easy steps?

For dummy's please.

Pandacea
get all 4 courts in 10 setps isn't going to be possible

Kufufu
....12?

Lol

Pandacea
due to the fact their leadership and localization are completely different

Kufufu
Hm.

Are they allied with eachother?

Pandacea
Not all of them are.

Kufufu
How can we best convince sythe and mom to work with us? Sythe is the only court in our favor and mom is probably the single most powerful mortal on earth barring the Hero.

....can we exorcise the hero?

Pandacea
How to convince Scythe to work with us : Find him and ask. You're the Hero of Will, he needs your cooperation.

How to convince Aimée to cooperate : Wait for Turn 10. Something will happen and you'll find an ally that will be able to convince her

HOWEVER

You'll need to play at the very least lawful neutral until then

Also, technically, Aimée's a demigod not a mortal

Also yes, the Hero of Oakvale can be exorcised.

Kufufu
What artifacts do we need to save him?

Pandacea
The sword of Ages, Jack's mask, Avo's tear and Theresa's blood

Kufufu
Where can we find them?

Pandacea
The sword of ages is sealed away in an isolated demiplane. Jack's mask is with Jack himself, Avo's tear is currently in the possession of the Longbottoms and Theresa's blood is hidden within a crypt kept secret by the Abbots

Kufufu
And Theresa herself?

Pandacea
Ded

Kufufu
Damn caravan game is canon.

What about her successor then?

Pandacea
also ded.

Kufufu
Oh dear.

That explains the void being here.

Pandacea
Jack ain't taking no risks.

Kufufu
What and who does jack fear most?

Pandacea
What Jack fears the most currently is the resurrection of the Heroes' guild

Kufufu
How can we most effectively resurrect the heros guild?

Pandacea
Collaborate with Scythe

as for who Jack fears

Is an entity called The Devourer

Kufufu
Sorry, didnt mean to cut you off.

Ugh.

Pandacea
no problemo

Kufufu
With good reason.

I fear the devourer.

Pandacea
The Devourer is kinda sorta the recycling center of the In-Between. It eats void ( and lost worlds) and uses the matter/energy to facilitate the creation of new worlds

Any other questions?

Well then, since you didn't follow up^the question about the courts, I'll answer myself.

The court of Diamonds is enemy of the 3 others.

the court of Clubs and the court of Hearts also don't get along and will try to sabotage eachother.

The Courts of Blades, Hearts and Clubs are however nominally allied (did I use the term correctly?)

The Court of Diamonds is also Not Void Aligned

Mathematicae
nominally: allied in theory, but in practice not really. That's what it would mean.

Pandacea
Good term then

DrElsewhere
What is the best start to finding a cure for HBS

Best way to start*

Pandacea
Hm

DrElsewhere
And how many other factions have access to the Ancient Kingdom Tech tree?

Pandacea
first would be to get youself someone to help with Learning

then, beeline the ancient kingdom tree, might branch

until you reach

Enforced evolution

at that point, curing HBS will be easy

as for how many factions have access to AK tree

all of the Fable ones

plus

about half of the purebloods

though, considering a lot of them got subsumed into Fable factions

I'll say 4 pureblood factions, plus all of the Fable ones

Kufufu
I didnt ask for clarification on the court stuff because I had already figured that stuff out before the hiatus, not because I wants intrested. Also I had to take a test.

but I have returned!

Pandacea
10 minutes left

also, you may have guessed, but others probably didn't

so I'm covering my bases here

Kufufu
Where would we be best served by expanding to? Can we settle the dragon paradise?

Pandacea
hm

right now, you'd be best served ousting the Parkinsons

as for the dragon paradise, yes, you can settle it

it's gonna be costly, since it's in ruins

Kufufu
Would it be a good thing for us though?

Any bonuses?

Residual magic?

The like?

Pandacea
Mountain terrain will give a non-negligible defensive bonus

DrElsewhere
Would we have to bribe them with a ton of gold again?

Pandacea
it also holds a good amount of resources due to NB being active

DrElsewhere
Cause we don't have that

Pandacea
no you wouldn't

cause the dragons aren't there anymore

Kufufu
Nani?

DrElsewhere
Oh

Kufufu
What happened to the dragons?

DrElsewhere
Was it attacked?

You said in ruins

Kufufu
...was it the courts?

Pandacea
they flew away, the place wasn't attacked

the courts are innocent here

and yes it was attacked, but millenia before, so it's irrelevant

Kufufu
What are our mothers plans?

Pandacea
oooh boy

DrElsewhere
Does it still have a big underground are

Area*

Pandacea
Aimée's ultimate plan

is to defeat a specific T2 entity

M2*

Kufufu
cherrey

Pandacea
nah

Kufufu
Damn

DrElsewhere
Chronos?

Pandacea
well, technically

that entity's M3, but dépowered themselves

DrElsewhere
There's like 4 T2s iirc

Kufufu
....jesus?!

DrElsewhere
YHWH is here

Pandacea
and yes, underground area's still there

DrElsewhere

In the isles iirc

Oh cool

Pandacea

no and no

DrElsewhere
Oh?

Pandacea
YHWH is in V A T I C A N

Kufufu
But the Vatican is dead?

Isint it?

Pandacea
nope.

DrElsewhere
Wait, the Vatican was Light aligned right?

Kufufu
How did they survive? Who else survived?

Pandacea
Life aligned, technically

As for how they did survived

DrElsewhere
Tomatoe tomahto

Pandacea]
They were never attacked to begin with

To name a few who survived too

well, I already mentioned Oliver

Africa

Australia

America

Asia

pretty much everything

Kufufu
.....dafuq?

Turn 3 : Spring 1984
Turn 3 : Spring 1984

This weightlessness was a familiar sensation.

The darkness was, too.

"Don't get used to it lad, you're going right back down once we're done with you."

A bald man with a white beard came into view, with icy green eyes that bored through his skull, and arms crossed over velvety robes. He was sitting on a comfortable-looking armchair, behind what appeared to be a table made of yew.

On his right, a woman was lounging on a sofa, looking bored on a first glance, but her shoulders were tense and her blue eyes were fixed on him as her fingers ran along the lacquered table's surface. Behind her, he could see a multitude of weapons, but he didn't care about any of this.

Although, he was certain he'd seen her somewhere.

"You did." she sighed, shifting so that her hair rested on the furniture's arm while she gazed at the ceiling. "Not that you would remember it, of course."

He realized that he was sitting too, as the fire roaring in the chimney to his left created shadows inside the small, wooden room.

He blinked, and the man smiled.

"Yes, being cut off from one's senses tend to be disorienting. Nevertheless, I am in need of your attention, young man."

It's not as if he had anything else to focus on right now.

"True, true." The elder steepled his fingers, looking at him consideringly. " I must admit, you are a rather surprising individual. Not many would have survived the ordeals you went through."

"Ordeals!" The woman snorted mockingly. "Ordeals he wouldn't have had to deal with if he knew his place to begin with!"

"Now now, don't be like that, the people of this time aren't like they used to be. In any case, since I have decided to involve myself with your new heir's growth, and have called in a few favors among my peers, I thought it wise to bring you here and have a little chat." The man told him lightly. He didn't know why, but that rubbed him in the wrong way, somehow.

"You will have to learn to...ah, 'deal with it'. But allow me to introduce myself. I am Odin, and this is Freyja, and we have decided to to give some of our power to your newest family members." Freyja muttered darkly, however it was too low for him to hear. " As you may have surmised, we would like your cooperation. It wouldn't do to fall due to infighting in such a delicate period."

He thought for a bit, before something at the back of his mind broke, and memories flooded in. He felt himself grow wary. They weren't about to possess him into doing something he would not approve of, would they?

He suddenly couldn't breathe. It was as if something inimaginably tall and powerful was looming over him.

"No, we would not." The mild answer came. "Though, how you got the knowledge of the events I can see eludes me. Moreso because the one you speak of is currently locked away. However, that mystery will wait. For the sake of simplicity, you will remember this encounter when your child starts behaving in abnormal ways. Do not be alarmed, it will be a sign the child is acting on our behalf."

May 10th, 1983

Gwallawg Manor, Gwallawgysol Dinas

Dace woke up with the mother of all headaches tapdancing behind his eyes. It was nighttime, and from what he could see, he wasn't alone in the room.

"That woman did a real number on you boss." The gruff voice of Ishmael reached his ears. " Hoping you can fill me in on what happened, because save for attacking you and leaving you for dead, she did nothing."

That caused several alarm bells to merrily ring in Dace's mind.

"Nothing?" He asked dubiously. Considering the amount of damage she could have caused, the fact she didn't do anything after her betrayal was perhaps more worrying than ordinary sabotage. "No faked research notes, explosives, or sleeping agents?"

"Can't say for the latter, but Danvers looked over the notes, they seem legit."

Danvers, Danvers... Oh, the mousy woman he recruited. He had yet to meet her too...

"We took over for the last few months, but the girls will be glad you're back. Lloyd was about to murder Wells and Savage." He muttered something vaguely resembling 'not a great loss' as he handed over a stack of papers to the man currently on bedrest. Dace lit up the nearby lamp, and began to peruse them while Ishmael explained the context.

[X][Ishmael] Sneaky Snake : Ishmael will keep tabs on people and the likes. +20 to all rolls involving outside due to accurate intel.
100 + 70 = Critical Success
-[X] Plot against: (Will receive intel on their moves, plus additional actions if the opportunity arises.)
--[X]The muggles
64 + 70 + 20 = 174 : Tier 2 success

Of course, as expected from someone Dace decided trustworthy enough of the spymaster post, Ishmael went above and beyond his initial mission parameters. Where he got all of that information he didn't know, but it was a literal gold mine.
Rewards : +20 to all rolls involving the outside world for a year, [Ishmael's report].

Ishmael's notes:

Something's shifty about those who gave up. All of them had unknown loyalties. Only Shafiq didn't disappear into thin air, but they won't speak. They gave up without a fight they could have won. Likely gonna disappear if something isn't done too.

Parkinson's gonna start digging their trenches, our window of opportunity to root them out is closing quickly.

Black and snakeface are probably gonna fight it out for one or 2 more years.

Greengrass needs to be dealt with quickly.

Bulstrode knows too much.

The muggles have started regrouping in the areas near the capitals. An organized group fortified London area. However, the massive amount of creatures roaming around, the infighting and pure-blood fanatics caused massive losses on the muggle side. Numbers are still coming, but we're talking about 80% casualties here. Any semblance of government is gone, but we got infiltrators in the promising factions.

-[X] Organize patrols. After the incident this Spring, Dace doesn't want to leave it to chance. People are invading his property illegally, and he wants them out. Whil this won't stop the vampire lady or the armored man, it may very well help against invaders of a lower caliber.
Cost : 10,000 Galleons.
43 + 80 : Success.

Ishmael continued his report while Dace was reading.

"'Few of the Parkinson men tried poking at us, but they were dealt with. We saved the Shafiq from an ambush recently, they'll want to speak with you and they didn't fall for the body double tactic, so be on your guard."

Parkinson incursion successfully repelled, no losses.

"When they weren't fighting, Lloyd and Wells did some work done too. Not like that slacker Savage. I'd reckon you chould talk to the girls, Lloyd has been trying to maul Wells ever since she messed up and lost the box red gave you."

-[X][Myriam] All hands on deck : Myriam will take care of a stewardship action for Dace.
-[X] Diamonds are a girl's best friend. At least according to Ava. Which is why she came up with the idea to build a jewelry business. On the side, she gace Dace a sealed box and told him to open it alone.
Cost : 100,000 Galleons, 10 Gems, 5 crystal.
--[X]Myriam
31 + 65 = 96 : Failure

-[X][Ava] On the lap of Luxury : Ava leverages luxury resources to improve the quality of life and
morale. Happiness gain from luxuries doubled.
25 + 75 = 100 success. Happiness from luxuries doubled.

-[X] Resource hunt. Powys may be barren of resources, but Perfeddwlad certainly is not. Dace decided it would be useful to set up a few mines and laboratories to exploit those resources.
--[X] Build a Mercury exploitation : Costs 40,000 Galleons, results variable (expected +12 Mercury/t).
42 + 75 (Ava) = 117 success

--[X] Build a Crystal mine: Costs 40,000 Galleons, results variable (expected +8 Crystal/t).
56 + 75(Ava) = 131 success

--[X] Build a Gem mine: Costs 40,000 Galleons, results variable (expected +4 Gem/t).
96 + 75 (Ava) = 171 Tier 2 success

-[X] Building (free action): Dace's got some blueprints just begging to be built.
--[X] Recycling center (Misc. building)(+ health, ++ econ, + safety, + happiness , produces 12 Scrap golems / turn for the workforce and the garrison for free) (10 Stone, 10 Wood, 50,000 Galleons)
--[X] Golem assembly line (Military building) ( Produces up to 100 Scrap golems per turn , costs 300 g/u) (15 Stone, 5 Wood, 100,000 Galleons)

"I also took the liberty of having Sally meet with the politicians in your stead. As yourself. You were in a coma for a few months, couldn't afford the loss of morale, things are barely hanging on as they are. Went pretty well, from what I could hear."

Politicking. While Dace has a healthy dose of disdain for political games, now that he is the Lord of the Gwallawgysol Dinas (jokingly called Galatine), he has to step up, unfortunately.
62 + 55 = 117 Tier 2 success.

"Well, you're gonna have to deal with marriage proposals next year. Sally said your mourning period is almost over?"

It had been almost three years, Dace thought with annoyance, before shaking his head. What he had with Elizabeth may not have been love, but he highly doubted he would find anyone he could trust with his possessions, let alone himself. The idea of moving on so easily after so many years together left a bad taste in his mouth, at the very least, he owed it to her not to remarry lightly, if he ever did.

"Suit yourself." The grizzled man shrugged, before he got up and walked out of the infirmary, leaving Dace alone with his thoughts.

All in all, it hadn't been that bad, only time lost, though he wouldn't rest until he moved every stone of the city to make absolutely sure there weren't any traps or bombs or anything left by the traitor. The coma, however, meant he couldn't spend time with his employees or conduct his own research. Then there was the city and child to name, not to mention he'd have to think on those marriage proposals...

[] Write in name of the child, insert image if you wish ( hair must be blond to orange, eyes blue, green or grey)
[] Write in name of second town

He lied down on his bed, and turned off the light, his mind preoccupied.

[Wisdom of the In-Between] activated. Who do you choose to spy on?
[] Write in

As he went back to sleep, he felt the now familiar feeling of drifting, before the headache bloomed, and he choked on his spit.

Now to deal with ##########....
Rolled 1,10 + 80 = 91 : Critical Failure
O-oh dear, that was not what I had intended, let me try to fix that...
Rolled 30, 86 +80 = 193 Success
Better. Now for the real problem...
Rolled 2,6 + 140 = 148 : Failure.
Why?! Oh no, that was not what I-

Trait lost : Marked

Trait revealed : Instinct from the In-between: Once a turn, may spy on a semi-random entity's randomly chosen action.
Trait evolved:
Instinct from the In-between > Wisdom from the In-between : Once a turn, may spy on anyone's action. Warning, higher tier entities may detect the intrusion.

He immediately sat up, heaving, trying to make sense of the pictures seared into his mind.

You may now make a limited use of metaknowledge.

Wheee, I'm back, and this is over and D O N E. The Q&A results mean some things have been hastened, but I trust you're responsible enough to deal with it. Starting back with a vote that'll last 24 hours~

Vision 1983 : ParkinsonQuest
Vision 1983

After bidding his darling Pansy a good night, he walked down the hall, his face a grimacing mask. This year wasn't kind to him.

While he did get the Dark Lord to deploy him here, he did so with absolutely no support, so he had to use his own fortune and move here himself, but it was worth it in the end.

He reached the small, protected room where the rest of his council of fortune was assembled.

Recruit Advisor :
Diplomacy : 58 + 50 (leadership) : Tier 2 success, +5 leadership
Stewardship : 86 + 55 (leadership) : Tier 2 success, +5 leadership
Martial : 41 + 60 (leadership) : success
Intrigue : 66 + 60 (leadership) : Tier 2 success, +5 leadership
Learning : 12 : autopass
Mysticism : 13 + 60 (leadership) +30 (Personal supervision) = 103 : success.

They may not have been the best, but save for the person the Dark Lord sent him, they were all guaranteed to be trustworthy. And if they were not... Well, that's what the imperius is for, isn't it?

"Gentlemen," He started " We are all here for a common goal : the bettering of wizardkind, and each and every one of you has been deemed worthy of helping that glorious cause. This land is to become the very beginning of a glorious nation, but for it to rise, we need to work, bleed, and even kill for it. We are besieged on all sides, our resources, limited, our men, exhausted, but I am sure, that if we give it our best, we will rise to the challenge that is offered to us!"

A polite round of applause followed the mandatory 'hail to the Dark Lord's Cause' speech, and they began to work as they sat.

A squat, balding man began, putting some items on the table. He then nervously produced a handkerchief and wiped his face with it.
"W-well, as you can see, I lead a team to prospect the area. The underground's filled with gold and the stone is good, it should help with the construction, but I investigated the records you obtained from the ministry, and those shouldn't be here..." His voice lowered until it became an inaudible mutter as he seemed to shrink from the attention.

Parkinson nodded regally.

"Very well Arnold, have the muggles build the mines. Fitzgerald, your results?"

The heavyset man in front of it twitched, lifting his face and revealing dark circles beneath his eyes. He blinked for a bit, clear sign that he was asleep, and lifted his paw-like hand to scratch the stubble on his chin.

"Ah, research's advancin', we've cracked ollivander's notes, so we shud be able ter start producshun once we git de resources. "

"Good. Continue with the notes, make sure nothing is ignored."

The thud of a head falling onto the table was his answer.

Then next row of inquiries revealed that the muggles were properly kept under control, the magical school project was beginning to shape up, until the military report came up.
The man hemmed and hawed, but in the end, only one answer came out.

Complete wipe out

Silence reigned in the room for a while, until the leader got over his shock.

"Get out!" He bit out, and his councilors, used to his temper, began to leave. "No, not you." That was aimed to the person on his left, who sat down and waited quietly as the room emptied itself.

Julius Parkinson was angry.

No, angry just didn't cut it.

" What happened to the forces sent at the border?" He hissed, not in the mood for pleasantries after an unforeseen accident caused his latest project to fail.

"They were exterminated. Some of them who we assumed deserted were sent back to us in pieces." Nott answered blandly, eyes scanning the report, pondering on heavens knew what.

Parkinson suddenly rose from his mahogany and velvet chair, throwing his hands in the air and shouting expletives after expletives.

Nott stared, flipping a page, and spoke up again.

"Bulstrode got out of their isolation to hire one of my clansmen. Apparently, they're doing a massive recruitment drive, but other than sending the money, they didn't say why."

Julius looked at the black haired, black eyed female in front of him, before sneering.

"I hope he got his money's worth."

"I suppose so, after all, he did sent over a thousand hundred galleons to Our Lord to make sure of that." She replied, going back to her reading. "Not that you would be interested, of course."

"Of course not!"The man lost his patience, bloody Bulstrode and his extravagant expenses! " That's not what I hired you for ! Where is my intelligence on that man?!"

Nott sighed, stretching and getting up, raising a file.

"Dace Gwallawg, bastard son of Albus Dumbledore and Bridget Gwallawg, half blood, noted to be ambitious, territorial, extremely proud, and suffering from a bad case of ailurophobia. Widowed-"

"Getting out of mourning period, thought to have access to a seer and so on and so on! Give me something concrete!"

"He is known." Continued Nott." To be amassing power. His known nationalism means that he can be expected to try and conquer the rest of Wales before crowning himself its king. In other words, he is going to come to you, preferably the upcoming year, as the conflict with the Black is currently keeping our Lord from giving help to his subjects."

"Yes, he is very occupied, but never to take money from us, what a Lord he is!" Parkinson spat out, before his sight swayed and he fell hardly on the floor. He looked up, wheezing as a foot was firmly planted on his chest, his wand arm bent to the point of pain, and the witch's wand digging into his throat.

"It would do you well to remember who gave you this chance Parkinson. The Dark Lord would hate it if he wasted resources on you." Nott told him in a deathly quiet voice, her black eyes fixed on him like voids empty of light.

Somebody knocked at the door.

"Boss? Everything okay?"

Nott's eyebrow raised and she gave a little smirk. He hated it.

"Yes." He answered, trying very hard to set that woman on flames with his mind.

His guard grunted before walking away. Once they no longer risked being heard, the blasted woman let him go and he got up, dusting himself.

"Yes. So, The little half-breed bastard is going to attack. What's our plan?"

Nott gave him a derisive look as she opened the door.

"That's for you to figure out."

And she walked out.

She walked out on him!

How dare she ?!

"I'll show you what I'm able of, you little tart. Then I'll go to that little bastard of an upstart, I'll take his head, set it on my chimney and have him watch as I feed his little pets to my dogs." He began pacing, his low voice gaining strength. He waved his arm and dummies resembling his nemesis appeared. He whipped out his wand and set the first one in flames. " I will destroy your army." Another was blasted into dust. " I will crush your city." The next one was warmed into an unrecognizable mess. "I will find you." The last one was thrown towards the wall, before it flopped to the ground, as Parkinson walked up to it and began to stab it with a dagger he conjured. "I will bring you before me, I will make you beg and I will laugh at your face before spooning your eyes out. Then I will make you hear as I strangle your son, I will make you eat your daughter's heart, and when you beg for death I will laugh at your face and lock you up in the dungeons and I will torture you for the rest of your miserable existence!" After a final stab to the dummy, he let go of the weapon and sat down on the floor, before looking at the destroyed body of the dummy and Dace's face.

Then, Parkinson smiled.

Dace wasn't quite sure what to think of what he saw as he woke up, but one thing was sure, Parkinson needed to go, for the sake of his peace of mind.

Huh, we got all our recruitment, nice, good resources, the gold will help... Nott continues to be best girl... Wait what? What was that thing with Gwallawg!
Mwahaha said:
That guy can spy on other people in his sleep. How many ranks of Intrigue does that take?
LordZebra said:
Well, usually, you'd need Lore 100 or a specific bloodline~
Yesse08 said:
Remind me why we're doing this again? Are we trying to get killed? If you want people to be more invested in your quest you need to stop writing so much cringe-inducing stupidity Zebra.
LordZebra said:
It's not My fault, it's you guys who decided to have a feud with the easy mode leader!
Southstarting said:
In our defense, it had a very good bonus.
Mwahaha said:
What do we do now? We're gonna get instagibbed if we attack him, and he's got flipping ninjas so infiltration is out.
Bathory said:
Yes, whatever shall you do...
Dr. Nowhere said:
Stop your passive-agressive French-ness and give us a plan!
Bathory said:
I'd say evacuate Pansy and our personnel, then use all our resources to reinforce. Voldemort's spies on the Black indicate that they're about to win, what with Longbottom wrecking Nott and Flint, so we need to hang on until we get rescued.
Mwahaha said:
That's nice, but he's got ninjas, and he's a complete asshole too, so if we sent people away, they're gonna bet murderized.
Dr. Nowhere said:
Besides, running away won't help, we'll need our military and ninjas with us. We'll just throw bodies at the problem when it comes knocking. I mean, he's a principled bastard, right? If we throw a bunch of imperio-ed muggles at him, he's going to pull his punches.
Southstarting said:
I have an omake idea!
Bathory said:
*Angry French noises*
Dr. Nowhere said:
Also, are we going to ignore that Gwallawg apparently has Lore 100? How is this possible ! You said Intrigue was his strongest!
LordZebra said:
That was in turn 1 though, it's been a while~
Mwahaha said:
Oh no. What's his strongest stat right now?
LordZebra said:
That's an OOC question~
Bathory said:
*sigh* OOC question : What Dace's stat and his councilor's highest. Might as well know how much we are going to die.
LordZebra said:
Weeeell, that would be several questions you know?
Bathory said:
You know you love gloating.
LordZebra said:
Fair enough : Dace (17/14/20/30/29/22/33), Diplo : Nil, St : 30, Martial : 20, Int : 28, Learning: Nil, Mysticism : 40. You are also going to die very much
Mwahaha said:
Mysticism 40 ?! We're at 30 and already one of the best where the everloving hell did he find that?!
LordZebra said:
Gwallawg Academy of Superior Learning
DrNowhere said:
Damnit. Curse you Dace you stupid welshman!
Southstarting said:
Anyone noticed that Dace has an extra stat slot? Zebra, was that a mistake?
LordZebra said:
Nah. He has an extra stat
Mwahaha said:
And what would that be?
LordZebra said:
Oh, Will, nothing important. Fable crossover, you know?
Mwahaha said:
Fable... Will, but then the void- Zebra tell me you didn't!
LordZebra said:
Do I strike you as the kind of person with the integrity not to do what you're thinking of?
Mwahaha said:
Guys, change of plan, we're running away or we're all gonna die!
Southstarting said:
Now you're just exaggerating
Bathory said:
See? that's how I feel every update.

Discord Negaverse format, because I like the irony of the situation.
Also, first quote pretty much is Dace's vision (just ignore the numbers, or not, they're actually kind of important)

Nameless Tavern, Moskva Unkown date / Unkown Time

There was a cold feeling in the air, and it was not just the temperature. The people were hiding, in building or places where the monster couldn't find them, and the radiation couldn't kill them. Only does with a deathwish or the means to protect themselves still ventured outside. One such man, Igor Victorovich, was in a bar nursing his drink. Sparks could be seen glimmering around him and the other characters in the tavern as the radiation failed to harm them.

"Comrade Igor, still alive I see. I sure you would be snoring in grave" The man known as Alexei sat down on the chair on the opposite of him, with his own drink.
" No such luck. To thick-skinned. Claws ineffectual. Not even good for shaving" Igor smiled as he pointed to his beard.
"Lets cut to the chase friend. I come with big opportunity. New masters. The government is weak. They not deserve you. My new employer has money, has power, has territory, has vodka, and has enemies. They have everything you need for better life. "

Igor pushed himself higher, winched as his legs trembled with the pain of an old injury. He grimaced. The worried look on Alexei's face. "Old wounds still aching," Igor said.
"We were young, we were foolish. The marks of the last war still remain no. For those who fought against and with him." A small smile brushed past his face as his eyes had the look of someone staring into the past. "So what you say? Deal?" "

Igor went into thought. What opportunities where there. The government had failed. Both of them. Half the country was in ruins, and the land scorched from the Muggles self-brought destruction. It didn't even work. There was an opportunity here. Who cares if he had to work for some shady individual. It was not like it was the first time this had happened.

" I would like that"
"Great, let us go say hi to Squirrel Overlords and tell them good news. "

Those 2 may be swapped without penalty. For further information about alternate Council abilities, please refer to the Social tab.

Diplomacy roll waived this turn due to action taken last turn.

Slowly but surely, the world is settling. At least within Dace's territory. It's still very chaotic outside, but having food to eat and a safe roof over their heads did wonders to the people's morale. Sally's inquiries opened a few options, though they are too many for Dace to handle on his own.

[] Meet with the employees (write in option). Just because they're already working for him doesn't mean that he has to neglect them.
Cost : 0
60 % Chances of success.
Reward: establishes a SL with a named subordinate, chance to discover promising people, chance to increase loyalty.

[] Mingle with the populace. Being a proper lord is knowing one's people. Though Dace is unsure whether he is up to par or not.
Cost : 0
40% Chances of success.

[] Politicking(Write-in town). While Dace has a healthy dose of disdain for political games, now he has to step up, unfortunately.
Cost : 0
40% Chances of success.
Reward : Politics of the town mapped out, nascent 'undesirable' movements squashed.

[] Pruning (Write-in movement). Some movements are just too dangerous to be allowed to exist, so Dace decided to simply get rid of them. (Royalists approve, Democrats disapprove)
Cost : 10,000 G
75/40% chances of success.
Reward : Movement destroyed and unable to be re-created openly. Movement may be completely wipes out

[] The Visitors. While Dace was in coma, Ishmael decided to take in refugees from the Shafiq family htat hadn't disappeared yet. While they seem ready to go now, there may be a way to leverage their gratefulness...
Cost : 0
60/40/15% chances of success

[] Emissaries.(write-in)(may be used several times) Send emissaries to foreign families and/or factions to open diplomatic relationships. Cost : 10,000/100,000G
90/40% chances of success
Reward: Diplomatic relations opened with foreign factions.

Stewardship : Advisor : Ava Lloyd, Myriam Wells. Actions : 3 (Dace, Adv.x2)

Ava: 35 + 75 (entrepreneurship) = 110 : Success.
Myriam: 4 + 65 (entrepreneurship) + 20 (sneaky snake) = 89 : Failure

Ava managed to promote the growth of industry inside of the territory, while Myriam failed to find opportunities outside.

After The-Incident-That-Shall-Never-Be-Mentioned, Ava and Myriam are at eachother's throat. While it doesn't impact directly their work, the lack of cooperation may cause problems to appear. At the very least, the fact that the situation is no longer in the red helped to calm them down.

[] Build secret project : National Transit System :
Cost:
0/5 actions

0/100 Stone

70 / 45 / 20% Chances of success
Reward : Dace creates another business with himself as the owner.

[] Let's build an amusement park! Magic is convenient. In one flick of a wand one can easily kill someone, or cause flowers to bloom, or just about anything. A few animation and/or levitation spells can go a long way towards speeding up construction or cutting down the costs. Ava decided it would be a good idea to have a place where people could forget the current circumstances and just enjoy themselves. Of course, Ava being Ava, some changes are to be expected...
Cost : 300,000 Galleons, 5 crystal, 5 gems.
100/75/35% Chances of success .
Reward: Amusement park : +++(+ depending on rolls) happiness, ++ economy, + 10,000 G/t. Takes a misceallaneous slot.

Reward: Jewelry stores : ++ happiness, ++ economy, ++ i safety, + 10,000 G/t, -1 Gem/T. Takes an industry slot.

[] Build accomodations Dace happens to have empty land in Powys, better remedy that...
Cost: Variable
100% Chances of success.
Reward: New town.
-[] Basic accomodations: Just a few houses, nothing too fancy.
Cost: 500G, 5 Stone
Once settled, will gain Dace 91,250G (all charges and taxes taken care of) per turn.

-[] Middling accomodations: Enough houses to found a small village, with basic services in place.

[] Settle. [Requires building another settlement] Dace will invite people to come live in that settlement of his, however, this means he won't be able to change its size as easily anymore
-[]Write-in name of the town.

Ishmael : 36 + 70 (Stealth) + 20 (safety) – 120 (enemy attempt roll 80 + 40 (stealth)) = bare pass. Ishmael and his men managed to repeal an infiltration attempt on Gwynedd, however, due to a contrived chain of events, involving bad weather, a bad case of hay fever and a flock of swallows, the wannabe infiltrators managed to escape, though, Ishmael is certain they came from South-East.

With more help, Ishmael was finally able to work to his heart's content. He seems pretty happy about it, if Dace read him correctly, though his subordinates seem to suffer quite a bit. Huh, so that's how pity feels like...

[Rumor mill]

-There have been words of secretive things happening in Strathearn, more accurately in the place they built, Bull's Rest. Not only have they been inviting manpower and resources, but according to the rumors, they seem to have installed a caste system, with wizards on top. The shocking thing is that the muggles don't get mistreated. The Bulstrode are up to something but their behavior is downright Bizarre.

-The battle rages in Northumberland, where the Black seem intent to fight the Dark lord's forces to the bitter end. It is expected that they will fall this year, however, some signs point to the family disappearing in the same fashion ans the other ones, should they be defeated..

It is still valid for those intending to build wide, however, the maintenance costs and uncertain FB bonus means building it can be crippling without a strong economy.

He had everything he needed, a massive wealth of information was at his disposal, he had a place to experiment, he just had too much work to do on his lonesome. It hurt his pride, he really did, but he might have to ask somebody for help... Then he found the blueprints on his desk.

[] Restoration (Way of Life:Magic)(Pride): It may have been destroyed, pillaged, it's people either killed or abducted, but in the end, the Gwallawg Academy of Superior Learning was Dace's brain-child and a dream that occupied two entire decades of his life to achieve. He's not about to let it fall into ruins, his pride won't abide by it. Instead, he's goint to rebuild it. Bigger, better, and so superior in every aspect that even Hogwarts will be a thing of the past!
Cost : 1,000,000G-Variable
Duration : 3 turns
Reward: Gwallawg Academy of Superior Learning: ++++ Research,++happiness, chance to produce Elite/Hero units. Upkeep variable.

[] Open a new academy (Way of Life:Magic): This one will directly enter in conflict with Hogwarts, as it will take care of children from middle to high school. However, it won't teach just magic. As the GASL did, this one will teach everything the muggles do, and magical subjects.
Cost : 800,000G
Reward: Gwallawg School for the youth : +++ Research, + econ, ++ happiness, give bonuses to GASL due to synergy and open further options. 50,000 G/T upkeep.

[] The old tales are sometimes true. (write-in. Must be something Dace came in contact with.)
The Gwallawg library may not be the biggest, but all of it is true, which is more than any other library can boast.

[] The Old kingdom. The enemy they're confronted to is old, very old, from an era thought lost. However, now, Dace knows better. The enmy was vanquished once already, time to try and find out what's needed to do it twice.

[] Look for Scythe. That elusive individual may or may not still be alive, but if he is, chances are he has all the answer Dace needs.
10% Chances of succes.
Reward: Scythe found.

Mysticism : Advisor : Sally Danvers. Actions : 2 (Dace, Adv.)
Bonus:
+20 To all rolls involving the outside world (Ishmael)

40 + 100 (Utility magic) = 140 : Success. +140 to anchor construction. Anchor plans complete!

[][Sally] Secret mission! Dace sends Sally hunt down artifacts. Results variable.
[][Sally] In the name of Science Magic!: Sally can train mechanical and magical units, for a value of 97 points per turn (Utility magic + magical combat / 2)
[][Sally] Aeons Lost : Sally has the little known ability of being able to use any spell she learns without distinction, be it regular wizarding magic, the strange 'order magic' of the red sons, or even nonhuman ones, as she demonstrated her ability to cast a veela fireball. As such, there is a very real possibility of her being able to resurrect the Ancient Kingdom's magic... [Quest : May allow Sally to act as a Willpower-type advisor, may turn Sally into a Hero Unit, may cause Sally's death.]

Dace has yet to meet Sally...Again. It was almost as if she was avoiding him. Still, She did an alright job handling his affairs, and didn't set the library on fire. Or steal books. He'll still need to have a word with her about obeying Ishmael's orders over his.

[] Anchor hunting. Dace remembers those, and the power they bring to bear. However, he still needs to look for them.
-[] Write in Anchor type ( Order, Death, Chaos, Nature or Life)
85% Chance of success.

[] Anchor creation II : The research has been completed and triple checked to make sure there was no sabotage. Now though, Dace was left with a transparent, completely blank cube. According to the notes his elusive assistant left, what were needed now were patterns, and a power source to 'kickstart the generator'. The former was simple enough, get his hands on an anchor and have it cannibalized for data to copy, then fill the 'slots' with what he wanted. Or create everything himself from the ground up... It would fit his narrative of a self-made man. The energy source left him stumped.
-Data : Cannibalize [Needs Anchor]
-Data : Create : Write-in
-Energy : Tap into one of the 4 remaining energies
--[] Write-in name
-Energy: Look for alternative sources.

[] Dissection. Dace knows his enemy, and knows, more or less, how it works. He also knows he's resistant to the stuff, so why not get a sample and try to see what makes it tick in more detail.
20% Chances of success.
Costs: 5,000G, 1x Elemental stone.

[] The shattered tower. The warning was heard, however, Dace doesn't know anything about it. No where, no when, no how and no why. His current theory is about it being a nexus of some sort. Still, just because he would heed the warning, didn't mean anyone else would.
40% Chances of success.

Willpower : Advisor : No-One. Actions : 2 (Dace 25+)
Bonus:
+20 To all rolls involving the outside world (Ishmael)

Without Dace doing anything about it, it couldn't really advance.

[] When there's a will, there's a way. There must be someone who has an idea of how it's done, right?
Cost : 0 – 100,000 G
10 / 0 % Chances of success

[] Will training. Running around with uncontrolled magic is dangerous for everyone.
--[] Offensive spells
--[] Environmental spells
--[] Defensive spells
Cost : 0
50% Chances of success
Reward : increased skill.

[] The Heroes' guild I. He'd seen the name several times during previous research, and knew it was an organization similar to the current magical schools, albeit a lot more mercenary, and that it was dissolved due to its master's hands off policy towards its 'alumni''s behavior, but the more practical knowledge and precise history elude him.
Cost : 0
40% Chances of success.
Reward : The Heroes' guild II available, Dace may unlock other people's willpower.

Personal: 6

[] Spend time with Social Links.(+2 RP)
-[]Write-in

[] Personal supervision. Supervise an action from the other sections. Gain +10 to rolls if Stewardship or Diplomacy action, +20 if Martial, Leraning or Mysticism action, +30 if Intrigue action. (May be used multiple times, but not on the same actions.)

[] Investigate the illness. Dace is dying, he even knows in detail how his body is going to breakdown, however, he is unsure as to how he will remedy this.
70/40% chances of success
Reward: Dace may start working on a cure.

[] Met your son : He made it, he might as well owe up to it.
Reward : Draidd SL opened.

[] Visions or reality? : Dace dreams. When he dreams, he sees things. Is it the stress, or is there something more at play ?

Trade routes :

A few trade routes have become available in this troubled time. While it serves to exchange resources, the influx of goods means that both sides will profit economically too.

[] Trade (Their offer/Your payment) (2 routes available)

-[] Bulstrode : Has heard of Dace and his territory's stability and as such, would like to engage in trading.
Exchanges 2 Liquid Fire for 50 Wood
+30,000G/T
Lasts 1-5 Turns (you may choose the duration)

-[] Macavey : Andrew Macavey, an English wizard who rose to prominence this year, settled in a town called Downyvale in Suffolk.
Exchanges : 1,000 G for Wood/Stone (limit 100), 2,000 G for Sulfur/Mercury/gems/crystals, 3,000 G for Liquid fire/Elemental stone/Native Gold/Blood Wood/Protean Crystal
+25,000G/T
Lasts 1-5 Turns (you may choose the duration)

-[] Longbottom : After winning their own battle for supremacy, the Longbottoms have decided to reach out for the world, though, there are a few things that don't add up...
Exchanges 1 Crystal for 15,000G (12 on stock) /1 Protean Crystal for 50,000G (2 on stock)
+10,000 G/T
Lasts 1-5 Turns

Votes by plan, end in 72 hours, interesting rolls this turn. I rolled over the intrigue options in the agency because Dace is going to be too busy to run around himself, now that he's got minions to do stuff for him.

Un-beta-ed because Math wasn't there.

You are Lord Voldemort, heir of Slytherin and soon to be Ruler of the British Isles if only if things will stop coming out of the woodworks to disrupt your plans. During the final month of summer after going through the results of your efforts for the season you received a letter from an unexpected source, Dace Gwallawg. It's very verbose with thinly veiled insults and insults hidden behind those but the gist of the letter goes like this.

Dear terrorist,
I am writing to you to demand you take care of your annoying dog that rudely parked itself on the outskirts of my property and keeps sending rubbish onto my lawn. While this is easily dealt with it is annoying and distracts me from far more important matters. So I ask you to properly leash your mutt cause if Nott I will go over there and beat the dog myself.

It's quite a cute letter if you do say so yourself especially since it would infuriate the writer if he knew how you felt about it. You especially liked how he kept calling Parkinson a dog without going for the obvious and crass joke. Though it is mildly concerning that judging by the 'Nott' that Gwallawg knows about your agent in Parkinson's court though that just means that you hadn't misjudged little old Dace despite his recent decisions.

Now all that's left is to decide how to respond to the letter. You could easily not do anything at all but that would mean that Dace is likely to follow up his threat and leave you down a minion and a gold mine. You could tell Parkinson to be less aggressive against Gwallawg as a peace gesture though that would likely require you to massage Parkinson's fragile ego. You will have to think this through carefully.

Wait what!? Why is Parkison attacking the easy mode character? I thought the plan was to ally with our fellow heartbreak sufferer?
KingBasilisk said:
Parkinson has a bit of a grudge against Dace due to constantly being snubbed by him which combined with Parkinson's frail ego makes him fantasize about killing Dace and all he loves.
NaughtyBoyo79 said:
Geez Parkinson that's a bit much, isn't it? Anyways @Mr.Everywhere allying wasn't set in stone with only a few posters really planning on it.

As for the vote, I think giving a peace gesture to Dace is a good idea especially since we can always deal with him later after we finish off the Blacks
Ufufuk said:
Why are you acting like we should humor the bastard when he straight up threatened attack one of our guys? We can't just roll over when asks cause that's a weakness that everybody will take advantage of. Let's instead send our own ultimatum where if he touches a single hair on Parkinson's head we'll destroy him and his precious Wales as easily as stomping on a bug
RedHelix said:
>Sees you guys think about attacking Dace
>Thinks about what I just learned about him
I wouldn't recommend attacking an easy mode protag Baskilisk gives them a whole lot of bullshit that even if you guys can beat him probably won't be worth the effort required.
Azumarill said:
Yeah I think telling Parkinson to calm down might be good since even if we don't ally with Dace it still keeps one of our minions from being attacked while we're busy and all that it will cost us is making Parkinson angry and he's Parkinson his opinion doesn't really matter.

AN: Just a fun little Negaverse about the relationship that will sadly never be due to our choices.

The weather was rather dreary, Rowena thought deliriously as she was drowning.

And the more she fell, the more she was f͎͔ͅa͈̹̲͍̘l̜̬̩̳̘li̥͇͔n͔͈g͙̯̪̜̱͕ͅ .

A few hours earlier, things were going fine. Or close enough to fine in this maddened, disorganized world. She got out of the inn, her hard earned prize shining indigo inside her withered hands and began walking, the potions sparing her from the pain in her bones ans they creaked under the weight of the years, no, the millenium she lived, well past her due date, and once more, she felt herself curse Salazar.

Oh, he might have been helpful, ultimately, but would it have killed him to give her eternal youth to go along with her inability to die of old age?

Petty? Probably, but petty was all she had going on for her lately. She had been furious when she discovered what had happened to her diadem, after checking Hogwarts and making sure it remained taint free. The children there ware pale and hesitant, but still healthy and peaceful, though the loss of the house system did throw them off-balance. It's not like she had any time to personnally check and sort every student after the Sorting Hat encountered an unfortunate accident with fiendfyre. The sheer waste of having to burn such an elaborate piece of magic physically hurt her, but after whe Riddle incident, it became clear that for all its uses, the hat was too dangerous to be allowed to exist.

It was raining heavily, and she nodded distractedly at Helga as she-

Helga?!

She immediately whipped her wand back and started casting as fast as she could to try and make space between the two of them. However, they got blocked by a ruby-encrusted silver blade, wielded skillfully by another old friend of hers.

"Now, that was rude Rowena. Is this any way to greet an old friend?" Helga pouted, looking no older than forty, her honey-blond hair falling in silky waves around her shoulders and her black eyes twinkling merrily. She was wearing a yellow and cream robe and her droopy eyes contributed to give her a harmless, matronly air. Even now, despite everthing the fallen woman had done, and everything Rowena knew she was planning to do, a part of her that the had tried hard to seal away slowly uncoiled.

Missedyoumissedyoumissedyouguyssomuchwhydidthingsendedupthisway?

Godric, red hair almost illuminating the dark scene with its intensity scratched his beginnings of a beard, giving her a roguish smile.

"It's fine, Helga, remember we fought it too with everything we had, it would be unfair not to give her the chance."

Helga's pout became more pronounced.

"But she'll get hurt, I don't want to hurt her." She whined. " We're all friends here, we should all get along."

Rowena ignored them, focusing. That was technically dark magic, and would potentially raze the small village, but if it took down those two, it would be worth it. Massive gouts of flames spewed out of her wand and she, with a quick movement, whipped it around her head, creating a circle of fire around herself, obscuring her from view. The heat was uncomfortable, and the spell was struggling to break free, but she ignored it, pouring more and more magic into it, causing wild birds made of flame to fly in their general direction. If they've been disconnected from the world for so long-

The fire immediately disappeared, the backlash sending her flying back. She tried using her portkey or any way of running away as she landed, but they didn't work. She walked back, trying to get cover from the trees, only for a branch to lash out and hit her violently in the stomach, sending her right into Helga's waiting arms. The black fairies fluttering between the branches of the walking, twisted trees were laughing, needle thin teeth and too-wide smiles hidden by their hands, beady eyes shining in malevolent glee.

She couldn't move as Helga kneeled down and put Rowena's head on her lap, small fingers slowly combing her hair and shushing her in soothing tones.

"I know it hurts, but it's your fault, serving the void isn't the end of the world, you shouldn't have resisted that much. Apupup!" she put a finger on Rowena's lips to keep her from talking. "I know what I'm talking about. Do you think I'm the kind of person to go around massacring everyone undiscrimatingly?"

Rowena gave out a rasping laugh.

"If it helped this cause of yours, yes."

Helda's motherly smile froze, a flash of anger and coldcoldcold hatred in her eyes before her usual warmth came back.

"Fair enough. Still, you're injured and in pain, and we can't have that, can we?"

She raised her hand, palm up , and wiggled her fingers, making a golden, badger ornated gup appear in her hand, full with a bubbling, roiling, black liquid.

"Now, drink up." Helga's smile was eerie, just too wide to be comforting." Then, we can all be friends together again. Forever and ever and ever."

Rowena was too weak to resist as Helga forced her jaw opened, put the cup to her lips and began massaging her throat to help the liquid go down.

HOW DID THEY FIND US ?!

NotteCrow97 said:
I feel them finding about us just because they were lucky is a bit disappointing. We did take a lot of measures.
LordRaven said:
Well, it's not just luck. They doubled down on looing for you last turn, then tripled down on the fight against you.
PlagueDoctor said:
They really wanted us down, didn't they?
LordRaven said:
You were one of the worst possible threats for them right now.
Cawcawcaw said:
We're not that strong though.
LordRaven said:
They got utterly destroyed a bit earlier, so they had a turn 3 start with just Godric and Helga.
MigrateNorth said:
In other words, we got converted into a loss.
Cawcawcaw said:
... Wait a sec, what's that I read about Salazar?
LordRaven said:
You'll see soon enough.
MigrateNorth said:
And isn't that ominous.
PlagueDoctor said:
You know? They seemed almost too normal, for corrupted beings. Wouldn't they just be screaming murder and try to kill everything?
LordRaven said:
That's not how it works. When you get corrupted by the void, you're still you. Your personality remains the same. Godric still likes drinking mead in the tavern with friends and Helga likes raising children. What changes, however, is your perception of the world. While they saw the bettering of mankind as of the utmost importance, and despised anything that threatened it, including the courts and the Void, now, it's reversed. The Void is what's most important for them, and mankind doesn't hols a candle compared to it. If it helped Void's cause, Helga would kill the children she so loves without hesitation or remorse, because [Helga who love children with all her heart] still exists, but she is far overshadowed by [Helga who loves the Void with all her heart]. In other worts, Void doesn't really erase your personality, but rather switches part of it to what is most convenient for it.
Cawcawcaw said:
... Does that mean we can still get back at Voldie for killing best boy?
LordRaven said:
*Sigh* yes, you can.

Well, that happened. Today was not a good day for Rowena. Also, HoW activation isn't seen by Negaverse, before you ask.

CaretakerQuest +12
CaretakerQuest Negaverse

Argus Filch growled to himself as he walked past the closed shops at Hogsmeade. A student had played a prank during leave and as the Caretaker of Hogwarts it was apparently his responsibility to clean up this mess. When he got his hands on the culprit he would hang him upside down from the whomping willow. Bah, Dumbledor gone, and his increased responsibilities, Bah, more job, same pay, and still no magic despite his best efforts.

[X] Looking for alternative means of Magic
Rolled: 22 -20 (Squib)
And his new search was just as fruitless as ever. Having exhausted every option in Britain he had turned his eyes outside the UK. What a great time for the rest of the world to disappear. They were no help.

A tiny howl.

"Who's there"

A tiny howl

"Show yourself,"

A tiny howl

After following the howl with his lamp well in hand he found a small wooden crate with an umbrella on top of it. In it was a kitten. A hairy, small creature that was strangely adorable. With sharp claws, red eyes, long grey colored hair, and very dirty.
"Well, aren't you a cutie"
He slowly bent down and started scratching its ears. The kitten started purring. He almost considered taking it with him, but no. Hogwarts was not a place for small pets. Magical hallways, Hagrid's beasts, and incredibly stupid students. All things that could harm small animals. He was on his way to leave, the kitten started staring at him with it big eyes.

Diplomacy Roll: 21 (Argus)
Diplomacy Roll: 92 (Kitten)

An hour later in the castle after making the houselves fetch food and drink for his new companion, he needed to plan for what to do. Put it up for adoption, or if he wanted to take care of it. Ask Hagrid, or contact some of his contacts in the Diagonal Alley.

We should fight him"
The GM right-hand slave said:
I would advise against that. He has a league of mercenaries, artifacts of great power, a city, and the best and brightest from his own academy serving as his advisors. The only artifacts you have that you can use is a mop and your learning advisor is Mr. Binns. Your odds of success is abysmal.
Mr. know it all said:
We also have Peeves.
Aggressive martial guy said:
But he doesn't do anything. He just popped up and stole our precious intrigue advisor slot and we can't fire him. Last time he "helped" he added to the opponent's roll.

Another wasted action. Our goal to learn magic doesn't seem to work out. As usual
Aggressive martial guy said:
Our mysticisms is ZERO. Nobody has a lower score than that. Our goal will never be complete. Let's go the martial route instead. This kitten is better at magic than us.

At least we aren't in the Order faction this quest. Unlike last time. If we were a part of the order faction. That cat would have been a monster trying to eat us

The Fate of the Weak Part 1 (canon) +24
The Fate of the Weak Part 1

"How did things come to this", William Morgan sluggishly thought as he laid on the ground, body unable to move and even if it could it would not obey his mind's orders.

William Morgan was a muggle dock worker who lived in one of the coastal cities of Dyfed with his beautiful wife and adorable daughter. Though sadly William lost his job when the rest of the world started to disappear into the darkness. For while the magical world managed to endure the initial shock of the world outside the British Isles disappearing the Muggle economy was not so fortunate with shipping, in particular, taking a grievous blow. Being a poor working class family this caused the Morgans to slowly fall into poverty. But that is not to say that things were hopeless for the family for William had found that even in these trying times new jobs and even new towns were being made. William was preparing to talk to a recruiter who was offering jobs almost too good to be true that should be more than capable of providing for his family when his daughter came up to him.

"Daddy, are you leaving us?"
"No Daddy is not leaving you my little button. Daddy is just going to be gone for a little bit so we can buy some more food"
"Really really! Does that mean we can get a giant cake for my birthday this year!"
"Yes of course. Daddy will get you the biggest cake in the world so long as you be a good girl for Mommy"
"Okay, Daddy I will be the bestest goodest girl ever so be sure to get the biggest cake ever too!"

After reassuring his daughter that no he was not leaving her William Morgan left his home to hopefully get a job. The office where the recruiter resided was easy to find for not only was it clearly marked it also had a waver out front. Which showed just how well off the recruiter was if they could afford to hire something like a waver in these trying times, though the waver looked a little tired with his slightly glazed eyes. Passing by the waver William entered to lobby to find it almost completely filled with other people. "I guess I was not the only one down on their luck and looking for a job," William thought as got in an empty seat to wait for his turn.

After an hour or so, William noticed a few things about how things worked apparently interviews were really quick and they were multiple people conducting them for every ten minutes or so they called for five people. Though strangly the people preivously called on did not return after finishing their interview though the staff ensured that they were just getting some company training. Anyways due to the quick pace of interviews and that there were only about 30 people William and four others were quickly called for apprently the final interview of the day.

The man William met looked a bit strange if he had to be honest. He was dressed in dark, black robes which contrasted with his pale and slightly sickly looking skin. He looked like he had done some hard work for he was breathing a little hard and had sweat on his face. Feeling that making a good impression would be wise William asked "The last one was tough huh?". The man looked starlted for a moment before realizing what he was talking about saying "You have no idea but take a seat so we can start the interview," with a smile and a weird emphasis on the word interview.

Sitting down at the chair provided William focused completly on everything he could for he knew this interview could change he and his family's lives. He absentlmindly noticed that the interviewer did not have any papers on his desk instead he had a gnarled wooded stick set on it. Before he could think to ask about it the interviewer started talking.

"So first off intrduce yourself and while you are at it tell me why you want this job."
"Well my name is William Morgan and I am currently unemployed. I used to be a dockworker but I got released due to the whole end of the world thing. As you can guess loading and unloading ships made me really strong so if you need someone to lift things you can count on me! I want no need this job since I am at my limit in making ends meet so I am willing to do anything to get this job"

"Good good we always need hard workers who can lift their weight. Now when you say anything you do mean anything yes?"
"Yes sir I am willing to do whatever it takes to get this job"
"Alright then you are hired"
"Really? Thank you, thank god!"

While William was celerbrating his seemingly good fortune he did not notice that the his interviewer was evily smirking. The man grabbed his wand from the desk and drew William's attention to him again. "Now there is just one last thing we need to do before we can finish," the interviewer said like he was struggling to not laugh. "Alright what is it?" William innocently asked. "Nothing much just stand still. Just like that," the man said grinning.

"Imperio"

A/N: Wow that took a lot longer than I thought it would so I'm going to cut it off here and hopefully do a part 2 sometime else. @LordPenguin tagging you to let you know the omake exists. Feel free to tell me any mistakes or issues I can change to make this canon.
