I can see the argument for Purchasing Power - if we want to focus on catching a third this FE get supplies to make it easier to do so. I do think we should do Advanced Battle this week now we have cash though - Guaranteed SKL level-up, plenty of XP, and also last chance to grab so many skilled trainers beforehand Gyms open back up and some head back out on the Routes
[] Manuel: Manuel has approached you to ask for (quoting verbatim here) "knowledge on raising and training Ride Pokemon only an Andosin would know". You're not sure on whether you should humor him. Improved Bond with Manuel. 0/2 to Bond 1
[] Plan: Gossip and Cram Session
-[] I Work Out at the Library
-[] The World in a City (3/10)
-[] Theodora
-[] Nemona
So, here's my sorta-preference for a plan. Library seems straightforward for the last week of exp bonus. Although city exploration might not help us immediately, it may work towards unlocking more options for us once we decide to use our money for Purchasing Power. Aside from wanting to do the Theodora bond for its own sake, that bonus charm exp proc does sound pretty nifty. The Nemona bond I'm probably open to changing my mind on if I like the arguments for focusing on another bond, though the bonuses and scouting our rival is good.
I'm open to other options for the main actions though I don't really feel like committing to interacting with Renne this turn especially when we're more constrained in action economy.
I actually kinda like that bond bonus. It's not flashy or anything, but a bit of free CHRM xp whenever Theodora talks our ears off with gossip sounds neat!
Okay, I wanna deep dive on this post because Stickquest alone is a goldmine for speculation (also how in the hell does Elise have money for food when she's got two Crows), but this is the last week before FE1 and I want to take exact stock of our resources and actions.
Nickname: Roland

Current Badge Level: 1-Badge (1100/2000)
Bond Level: Bond 2 (2/5 to Bond 3)
Espurr
Nickname: Renne
Ability: Own Tempo
Tera Types: Psychic, Fairy, Dark
Available Moves: Covet, Confusion, Light Screen, Psybeam, Fake-Out, Psyshock, Disarming Voice, Barrier, Trick, Reflect, Teleport, Gravity, Shock Wave, Draining Kiss, IcyWind, Incinerate, Mega-Drain, Water Pulse, Snarl, Ominous Wind, Vacuum Wave,Round, Mud Shot, Air Cutter,Sludge, Ancient Power, Struggle-Bug, Dragon Breath, Mirror Shot.
Current Badge Level: 3-Badge (3000/6000)
Bond Level: Bond 0 (1/2 to Bond 1)
Traits: Phantasmal Potential: Moves in bold and pink cannot become the basis of custom moves and do not upgrade to unlock new moves. Not Interested: Cannot be used outside of Story and Boss Major Battles. Cannot be used in Gym or Rival Battles. Trait disappears at Bond 3
Trainer Card: Proof that you're a Trainer registered with the Paldean Pokemon League. Also apparently serves as a record of your achievements. Is also an "E-Wallet"? You have no idea what that is.
Pokedollars: 7,000 on your Person. League Points: 1,000 on your Trainer Card
Ganzorig Dagger: Made of folded Skarmory wings, the dagger is lightweight and wicked sharp. Deeply valuable to you personally and to your culture. It can be used by a human or any Pokemon that can hold a weapon. Its material means it can absorb Steel and Flying Type Energy up to the 4th Badge Level. Will be an effective tool up to the 4th Badge Level. CANNOT BE USED BY A POKEMON DURING A LEAGUE SANCTIONED BATTLE.
Training Manual "Sealing Spell": Is a Training Manual for a Fiendish Dark-Type Move. Pioneered by monks of the Geomantic Church as a way to seal hostile Ghost and Dark Pokemon. It traps and separates the offending Pokemon from using or manipulating Type Energy. Is needed to repair damaged Ruin Stakes. Has no effect on deactivated or destroyed Stakes. Mariana needs 12 KNOW to be able to teach to a Pokemon. Can only be learned by a 6th Badge Level Psychic or Dark Type Pokemon. Requires them to have mastered a Complex Move.
Lev's Monastery and Jenkin Stake Notebook: Will unlock actions to go to and look at Stakes during Field Exercises and on Summer Break. Jenkin suggests you wait until your 5th Badge until you do so.
Summer Festival Mementos: A Garchomp mask that covers the top half of your face. Some posters of Francesca the Swift. And a pin of Knight Tana. You had a lot of fun didn't you.
Outsider: -25% CHRM when interacting with Nationalists and Nobility
Catching Up: x2 KNOW XP gained until KNOW 8 is achieved
Andosin Lifestyle: You know how to cook and prepare all sorts of Pokemon. You still need a Pokemon of your own to hunt though.
Fundamentally Fundamentals: +10% KNOW XP for the first month (4 Turns) in Mesagoza (1 Turn Left) Chasing the Sun: The Pokemon Journey has long been compared to a hike up a mountain range that reaches to the very heavens. Many attempt it, most quit before they could glimpse the pinnacles of power. In the distance you see the Sun. Radiant and beautiful, near overwhelming in its glory. Her rise is steady, higher and higher into heavens. And to the stars above. Can you catch it? Can you chase the sun? One Sided Rivalry with Nemona. You will judge your progress and growth by comparing yourself to her. Once she overtakes you, will you be able to keep up?
O' Youth: Attend and Graduate Mesagoza Academy Treasures of Ruin: Four Sealed Horrors. Malevolent. Kept imprisoned by Ruin Stakes across Paldea. ???
Current move progress (only Roland is relevant since Renne won't do training actions). Most notably, Roland has 3 moves that are 2 MXP away from unlocking upgrades, and 2 more moves that are 1 or 2 MXP away from gaining a level.
[] I Work Out at the Library: Mesagoza Academy has two Libraries, the one in Rodrigo Hall and the dedicated Library building in Maria Hall. Maybe spend a couple of hours a day studying in your free time so you aren't completely lost during class. -1 AP
Potential Social Encounters: ???, Mela, Theodora
Gain 300 KNOW XP (Increases to 660 KNOW XP with traits)
Erika Bond 2: Gain +100 KNOW XP (Final KNOW XP gain increases to 880 KNOW XP)
This will level us up to KNOW 8, meaning both of our KNOW XP boosts will expire at the same time. With our passive gain, gives 550 XP of overflow into Bond 8, a good enough cheese of the doubling effect, in my opinion. I confirmed with Arvis that we do not get our passive KNOW XP during a Field Exercise, so not taking this will leave us at KNOW 7 with 230 XP remaining to KNOW 8 when the next regular week starts, meaning that we can still cheese 800 KNOW XP out of this action as long as we take it during our very next week of classes.
[] You Can't Run from a Trainer Battle: The battling Arenas at Rodrigo Hall are both numerous and massive. Since it's still early in the school year, the gap between the various students in the same year isn't quite big yet. You are, somehow, on the higher end of your school batch strength-wise. Sooner or later, you'll have to find greater challenges if your pace keeps up. -1 AP
Potential Social Encounters: Nemona, Astrid, Manuel
Roll 1d20+SKLL DC 20, 24
Gain 200-400 SKLL XP
Gain 200-400 Pokemon XP
All Pokemon Moves Gain 1 MXP
Benefits from this action will decrease once you reach 2nd Badge Level. Benefits will return if you remain 2nd Badge Level by Month 3
This action by itself has a 45% chance of getting SKLL 13, and a 45% chance of getting Roland 400 Poké XP. It will only level up one of his moves by itself.
Okay, okay, I have to take a quick aside here: my Bulbapedia-fu is coming up with one Pokémon character named Maria, a bit character from the anime related to the Regi plotline. However, there are a couple other possibilities here: Instructor Mary from Trails of Cold Streel getting a more Latiny name for the change of setting, or a third cameo from Umineko: When They Cry, because Trails didn't have enough little girls with DID.
[] To Train Them is Your Cause: While live battle is useful in sharpening moves, nothing beats good old practice; Experimentation, Building Muscle Memory, or just plain old Mastery. Right now early on, while your Pokemon aren't that strong yet, it's still safe to use the Training Fields of the Academy. But as you get stronger, you'll have to look for more isolated places. You can't let people find out what you're cooking up, after all. That, and something about collateral damage from moves getting worse. -1 AP
This has a 100% chance of getting us to SKLL 13 when combined with any other option that gives SKLL XP, a 45% chance of getting Roland 200 Poké XP, and most relevantly, guarantees Roland Mastering 3 moves and leveling up 2 more. Notably, there is no combo with this that can get Roland to Badge 2.
[] Advanced BATTLE: A Pokemon Journey is a multi-year long process. Most Trainers get one badge and then struggle for years getting a second. Half of all Paldean Trainers quit around the third Gym. Only a tenth make it to the seventh. There are no shortages of Trainers with only one or two Badges hanging around in Mesagoza. Many of them go to Battle Arenas in Mesagoza proper to prepare themselves for the League Circuit opening up in August. You can challenge them, and you're absolutely going to lose, but there's no better way to reveal your weaknesses than having them ruthlessly exploited. -1 AP
I confirmed with Arvis that we'll get the higher values because we can afford it. That means this by itself guarantees us a SKLL up. When combined with Trainer Battle, it will give a 45% chance of Roland hitting Badge 2, and will master all the moves that Training would master.
[] Purchasing Power: One of the Advantages of being a student in Mesagoza Academy (aside from the student discount) is that unlike regular Trainers on their journey, you don't have to trudge through the routes to get from settlement to settlement. This does mean that there isn't a need for healing items and traveling gear outside of Field Exercises, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared. You never know when that potion is the difference between victory or defeat. -1 AP
Start a Mini Turn buying items
Current Cash: Pokedollars 35,000
Available items depend on locations in Mesagoza unlocked
Available Location: Mesagoza Northeast Calico Mall, Academy Town Pokemart, Calico Mall Delibird Presents
I'm including this because we've been blessed by the Golden Witch with a small fortune (relative to our circumstances) and it wouldn't hurt to be properly equipped for the FE.
[] Phantasmal Feline: She's finally opened up to you now. Sorta. At least she no longer answers your questions with just short sentences. Time to have a proper conversation with them, and this time, you won't have Missy looking over your shoulder.
Has to be taken with Bonding Event: Renne.
You'll have a proper talk with Renne. She's actually a pretty awkward conversationalist.
And this if we want to continue our 1/week bond up with the murderkitty.
The way I see it, there's two real options here:
Trainer Battle + Advanced Battle gives us SKLL 13, mastered moves, and a 45% chance of 2 Badge Roland
We do Training for mastered moves OR Trainer Battle for a 45% of SKLL 13, plus another action like Library, Items, or Phantasmal.
Conclusion: Given that the Library cheesebomb is still an option the first week after the FE, I am inclined to go for the first one and vote for plans that do Trainer Battle + Advanced Battle to give us the best odds of succeeding at our accelerated Gym schedule.
And I guess I'm gonna figure out Bond stuff tomorrow woo.
"So, uh, I'm gonna need something from you. I hope you don't get mad." The Sawsbuck rolls their eyes and continues eating. You wonder when Elise is gonna—
"Autumn Leaf Cutter!" A glint of steel briefly crosses your eyes. What the—
In the blink of an eye, Elise is right next to Sawsbuck, tachi back in its sheath, having moved too quickly to see from her hiding spot to the left of the Pokemon. Both you and the Sawsbuck are in complete shock as to what just happened.
'Well, time to face the music I suppose.' It's kinda bad that she's getting used to Thea's tricks and pranks, though it's kind of her fault for almost always biting onto Thea's bait and provocations. The fact that Thea still adamantly refuses to return her 50 Pokedollar coin unless she finally manages to one-up her is a big part of that.
Sure it's just 50 Pokedollars, but it's the principle of the matter! Elise puts the fact that she's made peace with never getting any of the money she's been giving Murkrow out of her mind.
Virgilia's skirt and boots are messy with leaves, some dirt, and dried mud. That's rather uncharacteristic of Virgilia, at least from what Elise knows about her. Elise sneaks a glance to look up at Virgillia, who has a small smile on her face. That's…
The uniform was different, they were wearing a Zoroark mask and they had a new hairstyle but you recognize them still. It's Theodora's maid. She even does that whole 'her eyes are always closed' thing. Was she the one following you all along?
Virgilia's expression that had previously been bordering on a teasing smile suddenly grew serious. Ever so slightly her eyes opened. You saw blood red irises that almost shone in the dark.
So, under the premise that Virgilia is secretly a Zoroark, the red eyes could be just an illusion. But to cover all basis' Zoroark don't have red irises. Hisuian Zoroark do though. Which is... yeah, even scarier if true! (Although the Zoroark this chapter was clearly not a Hisiuan.)
Also, as a side note, I can't find any mention about her hair colour (although I do have the powerful thing called ADHD so there is a chance I missed it). But aside from that that's all the suspect information that I can find.
With the recent calculations, and because I'll probably be asleep when the vote opens...
[] Plan: You're Gonna Need A Montage (Montage!)
-[] You Can't Run from a Trainer Battle
-[] Advanced BATTLE
-[] Roland
-[] Manuel
This is my new plan. Get us SKLL 13, get Roland new moves, maybe get Roland to badge 2 strength, and my previous points about bonding with Roland still stand.
And since we don't have the room for Renne, I think we should talk with the guy we've been ignoring for a bit, Manuel. I think we should try and get at least Bond 1 with everybody.
Anyways, if the vote opens and I'm not there do it yourself, I'm probably asleep.
For this week Adv. Battle, Trainer Battle and Roland's bond are locked in for me. Remember, we want to be bond 3 or 4 before he evolves to Drakloak so we can convince him to not kill Espurr. Torn between Nemona and Manuel for the second; her bond 2 bonus looks good, but we should really aim for at least Bond 1 for all of Class VII if we're Class Prez.

yeahhhhh, I thiiiiink I'll vote for "[] Plan: You're Gonna Need A Montage (Montage!)" since it covers the Advanced Battle, Trainer Battle, gets that Roland Bond point, and Manuel is both bond 0 at the moment and also his Bond Option sounds interesting compared to the others.
(Well, Theodora and Elise are also really interesting bond options to me, but they're already at Bond 1 so as much as it pains me to miss out on a Swordfight or Gossip I'll be sticking with Ride training)
Really funny I think this vote is gonna end up being mostly the exact same actios and different bond votes, I personally kind of want Nemona and Theodora bonding events. I think the bond 2 bonus for Nemona is really good and I just like these two events, like I just think being forced to gossip with Theo would be funny and I do want to see Poppy destroy someone on live television

While I don't disagree at higher bond levels with Roland being important when he evolves, remember he is not evolving until at least December simply because of the amount of MXP required to Master Extremespeed. It's not a urgent priority, bond levels will come quicker than MXP.
