This fox is pleasantly surprised to see a new chapter. Had to re-read the whole thing to get caught back up, but absolutely worth it. Looking forward to seeing the next part — such time as the Muse permits, anyway.

*Marinette Rouber* I see we probably have Sophia's antagonist waiting in the wings. I wonder if her shard connection has been changed in any way or lost completely.

and don't recall whether we know how Lisa ended up in that situation.
Lisa was rescued by Mrs. Nakamura when Coil sent his goons after her to strong arm her into being his first pet Thinker. She just happened to be (dubiously) fortunate enough to end up behind Mrs. Nakamura's shop when they were putting the gun to her head, and Mrs. Nakamura killed (and possibly ate. It's unclear, as the bodies were absorbed into her shadow) all of the goons.

I was hoping that Sophia was turned into a magical girl with bright sparkling clothes. Then she turned into a catgirl. I'm still hoping that Chambers give her a bright and sparkling magical girl outfit.

I too hope that Glenn gets the idea to do a theme with the Wards' 2 members with full-time animal features. Sophia wants to turn her life around, rebranding as a kemonomimi magical girl sounds awesome. Pretty sure her being mellow without the wine is thanks to apparently merging with the cat. Two were dying, but they could survive by becoming one.

I suspect the various surviving factions from the God's war is emerging, and both making their opening moves and reconnecting with Deities that are compatible. I suspect eventually things will get to the point where enough Divine powers awaken to make it an open secret.

Might not though. They do insist on parahuman powers not being magic when they have literally zero idea what's going on. Their evidence for this? Magic isn't real. That's it. Even Cauldron doesn't know how powers work, they just have some guesses. Cauldron chops up bits of the elder god they have in the back, blend it into a slurry, then proceed to drink it for power. Then they insist this isn't magic while having no real idea what they are actually doing or how it works. I could see Earth Bet insisting the actual literal gods aren't magic or divine, it's not like something virtually indistinguishable hasn't been right in front of them for decades.

So, just had a thought...

The cat Sophia has presumably merged with has a rather... Electric color palette, and when it stepped before it's injury it was described as letting off spark(le?)s.

Chances this merger has neutralized her parahuman weakness to electricity?

Even if it didn't she still has powers outside of her breaker state. Making any weakness she has less of a hard counter.

So... Victor has gone around the twist, Emma is being groomed to be a new villainous sorceress, and Shadow Stalker has become Magical Girl Neko-Jin Chan and is joining the Wards after facing a Lovecraftian monster or ten. Meanwhile Youth Guard are getting smacked in the face with a metaphorical fish as they try to control a young goddess.

I'd say that Emma is, at this point, being groomed by someone who is trying to snap her out of her brain-lock enough to be useful. We have no idea what the entity is going to be doing with or to Emma right now. For all we know the voice in the mirror just wants Emma to get Taylor's attention to "rescue" the entity from being stuck with a poor excuse of a mortal host.

(Note I expect anyone trying that line on Taylor is going to get a negative reaction out of the current Queen of the Fluffiness.)

We kind of do. The spirit admitted outright (although Emma doesn't realize it) that she wants to take Emma's body as her own.

I like how [Negotiator] and Simurgh are equally obsessed with the fluffiness.

Like I said [Negotiator] want's to Touch Fluffy Tail... or at the very least get Lisa to Touch Fluffy Tail.

You know what I would absolutely love it if spite of all the speculation the entity in Emma actually has benign intentions it just so wrapped up in Blue and Orange Morality that it cannot articulate them in human terms.

Target has eaten freely given food. Next step, take home. Target is resisting. Why aren't they letting me take them home? I gave them food now they have to live with me.

I find the Nehotiator is be mildly funny to annoying with the fluffy joke but where does Simurgh come in?
The PHO thread had Winged_One, a common pseudonym for the Simurgh, have a minor breakdown over the floof.

Somewhat disappointed that nothing came of Taylor and Vicky's visit to the Lovely Fox Cafe from their perspective. Yet.

The eight-tails with a PHO handle of Bloody Vixen also returns. We know now that she uses a rifle and asks practical, humanizing questions about the mundane experience of having tails. (At some point we're going to need different words for things like 'humane' and 'humanizing'.)

Taylor continues to deny being a Goddess... in public. Learning magic in general and visiting the Celestial Realm in particular was her condition for entertaining the idea.
"To Vathý tha eínai nikitís,"
To translate.google!
Greek (detected) -> English : To Vathý tha eínai nikitís -> To Vathý tha eínai nikitís
That's not a translation, dammit! Identified the language, at least...
English -> Greek: To Vathý tha eínai nikitís -> Το Βαθύ θα είναι νικήτης
Greek -> English: Το Βαθύ θα είναι νικήτης -> Vathi will be the winner
Okay, that should have been step one, but we got there. Now, the name.
Greek -> English: Το Βαθύ -> The Deep
... Should have just looked at "Bathi"

Anyway, "The Deep will be the winner." To those thinking this was the Deep Ones come to the surface, here it is, straight from the horse's frog's mouth.
IT LIVES!!!!!!

One of my favorite stories has risen from the grave and so much great stuff happened! Until I know any better I'm saying Sophia is now part Shinx.
Cat, teal fur, stars in the ears and at the end of the tail, electrical powers? Sounds like a shinx to me.
Shinx is able to glow, which this cat did. Lynx feature in Greek mythology, among others, and are known for being able to see through solid objects -- Luxray's main feature. And this cat speaks Greek.

Five-pointed stars, stars in the eyes, triangle ears, all teal instead of half black.
I believe you're both correct; that cat was a Greek lynx interpreted through Pokémon.

I'm expecting Emma to be at least as much of a problem as the frog people, since her condition might cause the PRT to think that she just needs some therapy and then whoops, she's enchanted thousands of people into her devoted slaves and made a huge mess. Especially since I doubt that the PRT's armour - or any parahuman powers - would provide much resistance to mind control, meaning that the sorceress might have access to heavy weapons and parahuman support.

Ugh, I forgot about that. That's one of the WORST fanon things put there. It makes no sense unless it's in a Crack fic. It's just so stupid!
Especially since I doubt that the PRT's armour
PRT armor doesn't do anything against Mastering. Parahuman power could definitely resist mind control in certain circumstances.
