The Power(Harry Potter/The Gamer)

1) This isn't a new week. It was filling in the results of the votes for last week.

We didn't get any gains in skills for Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, History of Magic, Defense or any other class we took I believe. None that was stated anyways. The only gain was +7 from Herbology. At least from the two threadmarked posts 'The First Week' 'First Week Results' that I rechecked. We did gain some stats in Int in HoM though. I guess we can argue that HoM is all about remembering info, which Int does. Defence was useless, or we know too much. Was stated that charms and transfiguration was taught well. We might just know too much to actually gain any skill points for awhile, this is the first week after all. It's very basic stuff. Could be a boring year, but I have hopes that once we get past the first month of the easier stuff, we will start learning things our book learning didn't do.

Oh, and note this.
Choice of class at the end is going to give you a one day buff to stat and skill gains for the chosen class when it comes around. Next update is going to be the first day for each class, and then it's on to timeskip updates for blocks in between major events in the books.
We didn't even get any Stat or Skill gains in Potions or some of our classes. Just Herb/HoM are the exceptions. I'm guessing it's just oversights from the Cat. Understandable. Just wanted to make sure to point em out.

Also I guess we didn't get a majority to ask Snape about more books to get. Probably for the best for now till we improve the relationship if we can.

Thanks for the other answers @Halpo133! The title switching info is interesting. Might've been decided before I really joined heh. The Boy Who Lived title really is a double edged sword though. It's making all our gains twice as strong, but also our losses twice as bad. Ron would only have lost 3 rep with us vs 6 if we weren't using it. Then again the Snape gain would've only been 14 points instead of the total of 28 we've gained. So... Yeaaahh.

@Halpo133 - I noticed Hermione did not get an Int boost from the history class, even though canonically she stays up and takes notes. She has no bonus Int whatsoever, so is her not getting any gains an oversight or just an indication that grinding stats doesn't work for party members?

Well if we aren't gaining skills from classes we should try grinding the skills and stats we don't have classes for. I reiterate my Karate with Weights on Suggestion for physical stats and further suggest trying out Instant Dungeons.

Why would that be? Most of the votes in this quest are by line, except for Draco and Ron (who won't both get in anyway) not getting along there are no interdependencies, and merging plans that have the same people in a different order manually is a lot of unnecessary extra work.
Because he said we don't have to bring 5 people, and the only way for us to NOT bring 5 people, is by Plan.
Mostly because honestly wtf not.
Most of us don't like him, and are perfectly fine with him slipping into Neutral. Plus, bringing 5 people would make things rather cramped.

hmmm...

I don´t know if anyone would agree with me, however I believe to be important that our accidental magic level should be raised till the wandless level. before say... a certain encounter with a double-faced villian.

[X] Neville Longbottom
[X] Ron Weasley
[X] Hermione Granger
[X] Susan Bones
[X] Hannah Abbot

Also I want to see what level 40 Boomstick Flight actually does.

Look at your herbology compared to Transfiguration, charms, potions, and defense. History is left out because you got an int boost there. Anyway. Your scores in those are much, much higher. You'll gain points in them, but not in the first class, which is such basic stuff that you won't learn a damn thing.

That was just an oversight. She gets stuff there.

@Halpo133
Why is Professor McGonagall only Neutral to Harry.
Considering her connection to his parents, and the fact he's one of her Lions, I'd think she'd have at least a low Friendly relationship, or a much higher Neutral. Even if she doesn't show it.

That's what I thought! I did say it might take a month till we start learning things we couldn't just do from basic book recall :D

That's assuming we don't do anything for that month to advance out understanding ourselves. Like, say, order the text-books for years 4-7, and everything else the book catalogue might have.
Oh god. We're going to just graduate end of this year aren't we? Christmas Break?
