2. The Gamer power comes with the ability to add people to your party, which means that we benefit from our inner circle knowing because they get access to the benefits - they can grind stats and level up in the same manner as us.
3. As a mage, grinding INT is very important for us because it both increases our learning speed and most importantly our MP for spellcasting and abilities. Since she's quite smart and can help us study, share good books with us, etc. so studying with her is likely to produce better results. I don't mind locking in studying since grinding INT is something we really, really should do.

1.she is Hermione , chances are she doen't know what an RPG is
2.we don't know if we have the party abiliy , but thats not the point , the problem is that at this juncture Hemione's first reaction would be to tell a teacher ASAP
3.I agree but studying with Hermione will only grind INT , we should be able to grind at least 2-3 stats at once on our own

She's a muggleborn and can ask her parents to send stuff or do research. The Dursleys are not going to help us with this. Even if she doesn't know what it is, we can ask her to help do research that we won't easily be able to get.

Then we ask her not to tell anyone, and if she betrays our trust then we can deny it. Besides, the only teachers she'd likely tell aren't likely to do anything bad to us. The worst that happens is Dumbledore finds out, figures this is possibly the power that Voldemort knows not, and lets us grind skills.

But there's nothing to say we have to tell her immediately, if you're that worried about it.

INT is kind of a hard stat to grind at the same time as others, and studying is pretty much the solid way to improve it. Physical stats are easier for grinding multiple stats at once since you can do exercise that helps with both.

Besides, Harry can have a social life outside of grinding. Study sessions with a friend will be good for him.

. . . I'm leaning toward [ ] Magical Menagerie(Pets and pet supplies, Neville) largely because, Hagrid will likely buy Hedwig while we're talking to Neville.

But I'll wait to add my choice to let someone explain why we are wanting to experience Snape now? Cause, as someone already said, Snape's an ass; forget asshole, he puts the 'ass' in asshole, therefore, he's an ass. But, if someone can give a good reason that isn't 'lulz, id funne' I'll consider it.

Just read Drake's argument for it... maybe, it'd certainly be worth the try, and if @Halpo133 can confirm that Neville will still be in Magical Menagerie if we just do a meet and greet with Snape, I'll go for it. So, until Halpo133's rulling I'll tentatively vote

Because we know so many people? I doubt that she has played even a single video game. She is rather bookish. Dudley would know more. I don't mind studying, but at this point we should figure out the abilities by our own. Dudley must have a game manual somewhere and it's not like he's gonna miss it.

I don't think we should tell anyone, at all. One genius prodigy with crazy growth is one thing. But adding an entire inner circle? Very, very suspicious. She is an 11 years old girl and she can't learn occlumancy the fast way.

I agree that telling Hermione about the gamer power seems like a bad idea but it's a good idea to organize a get together, sure it means we'll be losing half a day some time in the future but it does give a friend and more importantly gives us insurance for if we somehow fail to get away from the Dursleys (unlikely as that is).

He won't still be in Magical Menagerie after you're done at Slug and Jiggers, but he will be in Diagon Alley. He only got his letter the day before you did, so he has plenty of shopping still to do.

Are we still equipping the Freak title? Because if we are then we should change it.

Not sure that Boy-who-lived will help with Snape, as rep losses are likely, but First Year Student at least gets rid of the reputation penalty that halved the boost we got with Hermione.

You are, yes. And you still have five unspent stat points, though I can understand wanting to hang onto those, somewhat. Do keep in mind that the rate of gain of bonus stat points from studying/working out/training is separate from your base stats though.
