It was soul healing, so it is not that far fetched to consider he got that one also, he dealt with the dragon after all. He is the master in soul manipulation and related staff.

Thought he just used technomancy to put it all back together. I mean, there's been at least one alpha+ level psyker that could put a starship back together after exploding it. So I'm sure Emps could put the machine back together easy.

Alright, finally done with classes so I can reply to comments. In the initial write-up, the research and prison were close enough to be considered a single location. Now however, since it's the last place left, you get options on how to divy your forces between them. After rereading this part of the story, I realized that I was unclear there.

I think I'd prefer not too. Using technomancy on daemons seems like a good way to self-corrupt. Maybe after we get that purify rune, and make some focuses with it.

So, the two areas are taken pretty easily. I will note that you would have actually taken losses if you were trying to spare the hostages. Also, with modifiers the ??? and Alpha Legion are exactly tied. And then corruption resistance succeeds beautifully.

Well, a big part of that was the Alpha Legion wasn't expecting. They then proceeded to follow this up with even modifiers and faced 5 rerolls. They succeeded, again.
So, they exactly matched the thing with 5 rerolls against them? That... sounds like tzeentch plot again.
So the Alpha legions are the tru hero's of the Imperium than? I mean they seem to be fighting chaos everywhere and helping Kesar when they can.
