This tech trade is going to be so amazing.
This tech trade is going to be so amazing.
This will be like Christmas in Asgard.
1. no@Durin
1. Are the Armiger knights still slaved to a larger Knight?
2. Are we building Armiger knights as well for Asgard?
1. maybe cypher, not sternA few things @Durin
1 Do we have any IC reason (Clovis is a Good friend of Robart, maybe he has told him stories) to divine the human canon characters that are more likely to be Trascendent (at least in my opinion) like Cypher or Ephrael Stern?
2 Since these characters were at least partially known by the Old Imperial Inquisition, do the veterans in our Inquisition know about them? If they do, what should we do so that they tell us about their existance?
3 Would the Greater Divination: powerful human of the Era (excluding Chaos, Primarcs and IT) give us at least a few names that we can divine later?
4 Is the vote closed?
I don't think that Ophelia is ever going to give us an extra action, because IIRC @Durin said that more actions would be too much for him to handle.As we have a LOT of shit happening now or now-ish, there are some things that happened over this last turn that haven't gotten quite as much attention as I feel like they deserve.
The most important one for the long term is Ophelia's promotion (with the associated trait gain) to Master Primaris Psyker. In addition to being an excellent gain in raw stats (+1 I, +1 D, +1 L, +1 Power, +2 A, +2 M, +2 C, +2 Control, and +3 P), it also puts us one step closer to getting another heroic psyker. In addition to the raw combat power a heroic alpha psyker represents, that would also give us another Telepathica action.
Ophelia would be particularly useful in providing another action slot as her Omnimancer specialty and high learning stat make her very well suited to clearing out the mid-tier research backlog—that is, the stuff that isn't effectively a pet project that can only be done by a specific hero but would require or benefit significantly from a level of expertise above 'average' for a heroic psyker. This goes double for research into multidisciplinary psyker powers, and the benefits of her doing it should only improve as she becomes a higher level Omnimancer—to say nothing of the likely researcher trait she'd gain from doing research.
Another Big Deal power spike for the short/mid term is Rotbart's naval malus decreasing. He just gained an effective 6M in the void, putting him solidly in the lead for naval martial in the Trust. A higher martial bonus plus the massive alpha strike capabilities the Trust just developed from the external launchers synergies very well—the rolls we got against the fleet over Asgard were a bit of a fluke, but they demonstrate just how crippling it can be. More, this puts Rotbart at a base void Martial level of 47, in striking range of paragon tier. While we don't know exactly how that will work, I highly doubt we will be disappointed.
Finally, there's the Titans. They got pretty completely overshadowed by the paragon learning trait Tranth picked up, but in and of themselves they are really fucking good. I'm honestly pretty okay with not starting work on a production line for them quite yet (I imagine Callamus at least has some amazing tricks for that sort of work, and the Primarchs are never to be underestimated), but even just adding 'normal' Titans into our line of battle would be huge. These are not normal Titans, and will only become more so as Tranth starts improving our baseline tech even further. Defensively they will let us counter enemy superheavy pushes without bleeding the Knights white. Offensively they will let us break through fortifications without waiting for our artillery to pound them to rubble. And in an open field battle they'll be far more dangerous than 'normal' Titans thanks to their massively increased mobility.
Aria does though.I am sure that she will soon become an Heroic Primaris, but she will be like Aria, an incredible asset with huge bonus but we won't get extra options?
Surprised.
Last I heard was the long-standing rule in the FAQ that we're not getting more actions to give us more actions. That rule has been in effect well before we got Tamia, let alone Aria to heroic level (which still gave us the action).I don't think that Ophelia is ever going to give us an extra action, because IIRC @Durin said that more actions would be too much for him to handle.

1. possible but really really hardAria does though.
Surprised.
Then again its not like they know much about him, just incredibly sneaky weird astartes.
@Durin
1. Is divining the Emperor's fight with the void dragon something possible?
2. As Ridcully is at level 3 of the Path of Ascension, what differentiates it from level 2? IIRC when it was just level 2 you said he'd be able to ascend, but it wouldn't be pretty?
Well he's not ascending any time soon.1. possible but really really hard
2. still able toa cend but would need either a grandamster sorcer to oversee the ritual or a master and a whole lot of scarifices
1. Not sureWell he's not ascending any time soon.
@Durin
1. Would it be harder to view the Dragon vs Emps than it would to see Emps birth?
2. I guess this is rather general, but approximately what level of action is needed to advance down the path at least for Rids? I mean we only have two examples to go on, divining the Deceiver (top three hardest things to divine) and the Plague throne?
3. How powerful is an Apex psyker in the Materium with all their power compared to the Dragon?
4. How many Alpha or Alpha+ level psykers are needed to match an Apex?
5. Can the Eldar confirm whether ork Daemon worlds are a thing?
6. Are the origins of the C'tan a viable divination option? (Probably not, but eh.)
...Well shit.
Well double shits.
Add that one to the list.
1. pretty much...Well shit.
Well double shits.
@Durin
1. What can they do? Just fart out infinite numbers of orks?
Add that one to the list.
1. yes1. Is the not being slaved thing a recent development?
2. Are the Armiger knights still mostly made up of lower nobles, bastard children, and war gifted commoners?
3. Would getting the different patterns and classes of Knights help expand Asgard's skill?
I do wonder if Ork beliefs, such as "red goes fasta" or "purple is sneaky" gain a massive boost on such a world.
1. yes
2. that and inexperienced youths from mid level families whose parents still pilot the family knight
3. yes
1. it was1. I'm going to guess that was one of Sigurd's reforms that made some of the families nervous/worried?
1a. How recent was this done 50 years, 100 years back or more? I was plan to have a portion of the omake I'm writing being the character working with Sigurd on this issue. Just want to know where in the timeline to put it.
2. Is piloting the Armiger knights a slightly more honorable position now that they are given independent agency?
2a. For bastards and commoners is it a pathway to a higher station for themselves and their family?
2b. Like become new nobles or being recognized as a true member of the bastards house?
@Durin
1. he started making noises about it after becoming Lord-marshal, but only started really pushing after the Fall of the Imerpium and rise of the Abomination@Durin
1. Can you give about how recent, I want to try and make my omake as canon compliant as possible?
@Durin1. he started making noises about it after becoming Lord-marshal, but only started really pushing after the Fall of the Imerpium and rise of the Abomination
