However, with the examination of the Void Beacon and options coming from that we maybe able to revisit it.
I was thinking of revisiting the common blink-spider. Maybe we should just ask Durin if Max thinks there are any animals of particular potential to re-research.
newly discovered Avernties?
What are those?
2. If an officer from the Black Irons were to have a child that was a psyker would they be viewed negatively due to superstitions? or would everyone be okay with it due to the high birth rate of psykers over time? Or something like a 50/50?
I don't think it would make a difference if it were a Iron officer, although I can't imagine one of those would be particularly enthused about fatherhood, being deathseekers and all.
Generally, psyker children are considered a potentially horrific danger until the Telepathica has secure them, which they do very quickly once the child has been discovered. Otherwise they're mostly accepted. I think. Durin has answered this question before, maybe you can find one of his answers.

Not its available, we just didn't continue it because we didn't think we'd get more as I recall.

Psychic materials, not study. As in: how could we use their bodyparts to create better psyker focuses.
Which means harvesting Sun Beetle bodyparts.
Trying to harvest dead Sun Beetle bodyparts is a nonstarter. Trying to harvest living bodyparts involves starship grade lances to the face.

...maybe biomancy/beast control? Cause ordering around a host of lazer beetles would be cool, have to do something about the exploding part though.

I somehow doubt that a Weapon grade lifeform would be easily controlled. That seems like the sort of thing that the Planet Mind would have safeguards against.

Hmmmmm a thought occurs would the orbital hospitals help at finding new psykers at all, or do the abilities typically manifest after they leave the hospital??

Packers o meant to say.

Also it's more like what happens to that individual in society? Can they be trusted to not have more kids or be tainted (in the eyes of there fellow Black Iron).

The child for all intents and purposes after being secured cannot be touched by the military as you have said. But that's because they have a gift and the Government has shown an interest in developing that gift.

Avernite peoples?

Ah right I am an idiot.

Packers o meant to say
ehhhhh...

That makes even less sense.

Are you trying to say Peoples?

Packers o meant to say.
This explains nothing.
Oh, I get it now. The non-human variety, sure. Makes sense. Someone says Avernites and I think of our citizens.

Even psykers aren't any more likely to make more Psyker children, they're complete anomalies, 0,0017% or so of our children, no matter the parents. Otherwise we'd be asking that Black Iron officer to keep his pants off for the rest of his life.
Otherwise, I imagine any Black Iron having children would be considered a soon-to-be deadbeat-dad.
Get it?
Eh, eh?

First of all - pretty much all Black Irons are either a. people who lost everyone they cared for and are too psychologically damaged to try to form new bonds (thus no families) or b. functional psychopath/sociopaths/sadists/etc. who never fitted in Avernite society to begin with (so very unlikely to have families in the first place). If they managed to find someone they actially care enough to start family they would likely request to be transfered out of Black Irons.
Secondly, I imagine that in Black Irons nobody cares what you are, what you did and what happened to you, almost every members carries either horrific tragedies and/or dark secrets they have no intentions of sharing, all they care that that you stand by their side no matter what, fight well, and in the end, die well.
Also I imagine "their children became a rogue psyker and killed the rest of their family" and is a relatively common reason someone's in Black Irons.

Actually our psykers are massively more likely to have psyker children, major ones for example have ~1% chance which while far from guaranteed is still orders of magnitude more likely. And traits like Tainted Bloodline show that you can be more geneticly inclined to have psyker children.

Well men and women do have a bad case of having (happy) accidents. And if that kid is a psyker then itll demand that parent to make some changes as an adult or release responsibilities to the Adeptus Telepathica as what happened to Opjelia and her biological family.

Also you skimmed something important. Does the average citizen know that having a psyker is not genetic and even between psykers is like 1%?

Probably.

Good education system and psykers are a leading cause of death, I'd imagine information on them is spread wide if nothing else to try and insulate the Telepathica psykers from wrong assumptions.

But the whole point that Black Irons are very unlikely to have sex, especially unprotected one (since their entire life is focused on training, fighting and finding a honorable way to die) and if they managed to knock someone up/get pregnant they would either a. abort the child/abandon them for adoption/give them up to the other parent and remove themselves from their lives/generally have nothing to do with them b. immediately quit Black Irons, because you don't stay there if you have anything worth living for, much less a child you actually care about.
Basicly you seem to think that Black Irons is just elite branch of Helltroopers/Helguard, they are not, they are just millions strong group of thoroughly broken and dysfunctional people performing an elaborate and drawn-out ritual suicide.

Seems contrary to Avernite philosophy of survival. Imagine it's a rare occasion when it happens.
Durin talked about it when we used 1000000 human fetuses to turbocharge Jacob, while fairly rare it's still happens often enough for us to have a million fetuses just laying around, and a child of Black Iron are exactly the kind exception that would likely see an abortion.
