The idea is preventing them from being even more entrenched and getting their cloning vats up to full potential.

Dark Eldar are the worst faction in the galaxy on the defense, and they're still kicking your ass.
to be fair hearing of any group of elder with tens of millions of men is rather uncommon

Yeah, but Dark Eldar with unlimited space and not stabbing each other in the face at all times can quickly propagate to "Wins everything forever" status.

Hitting them now, while they're just getting set up (And haven't turned into a full out Second Cormorragh), is worth the blood shed, because they're the only faction on par with the Orks in terms of being able to replace losses.

(Seriously, fuck the Dark Eldar)

[X] Scattered randomly around the inner walls – Allows for several locations of attack and a degree of support, maximises confusion for the Dark Eldar

Combined with a final volley of Deathstrikes to widen one of the breaches this should do nicely.

Phase-Tigers OP. Please nerf. ;)

So if the DE can replace their losses through cloning why don't the regular Eldar do the same?

What exactly are our objectives after this city? Our force seems to be heavily spent from all the fighting and we've killed millions of DE.

from his combat between +1,145 and +1,235
that is only skill
I know I'm going to be a broken record here; but Surt has got to be the worst Gary Stu character I've ever seen on SB or SV and this just sort of confirms it.
"He's got twice the skill as one of the top 10 most badass people in the Nine Worlds!'
"He's almost has Primarch tier stats in every category !"
"He's a secretive and mysterious badass who acts way more incompetent than actually is!"
"Consistently lets on that he knows more than everyone else about the situation!"

I get that you said there's a reason for Surt's 'awesomeness', but so far he just seems a boring character whose sole role in the narrative is to make everyone else look bad by comparison. Even Rotbart for all his bullshit isn't portrayed as flawless and without fault like Surt seems to be. I get you have a reason for having a character like him, but he's incredibly aggravating (at least to me) and he hasn't really done anything meaningful so far other than serve as a measuring stick to tell everyone else they suck. Probably not going to gripe about this anymore, but in the interest of helping both this quest, and you as a writer I really feel you can handle/avoid a character like Surt better in the future.

The Dark Eldar don't clone their babies, they just grow the fetuses in artificial wombs so that the women can continue to torture and murder to their hearts' content.

Plus IIRC clones tend to have flawed soul structures, leading to extremely bad luck or worse, susceptible to Chaos corruption.

That was a pretty good result for a mass assassination attempt.

Because the method involved in reincarnating an Eldar using the method in question involves inflicting pain in order to keep Slaanesh from eating the soul being brought back. The regular Eldar won't do that. They just store their souls in those stones, or they did before Ynnead was born and severed the Eldar race's connection to Slaanesh.

one thing you should notice is that the only stats that Surt is the best in the Nine Worlds are are Learning and Combat, and combat not by much
alos you would know more about who he is and what he is doing if you tried to find out more

I honestly don't care about the fact that Surt seems to be that type of badass. I don't care because 40k doesn't since 40k lives by the rule of "There is always someone better."

And honestly, he hardly has any screen time to begin with. A Gary Stu is fucking annoying when they are in the limelight constantly and honestly all we hear about is stuff with him in the background.

It wouldn't be unusual or even shocking what with his planet being full of hereteks, seeing as pretty much the entire AdMech is made up of transhuman cyborgs. Though maybe they have better/not-freaky looking cybernetics.
you can say that Surt does not seem to have any bionics, though good enough bionics are not visible to the naked eye

Those Phase-Tigers can have a toy..each.

Also yes its very good to do this now because otherwise the DE would be raiding all of our convoys and making all off word traveling extremely dangerous. Supplies would be trimmed, students going to universities would be killed/scared off, and eventually the DE would grow SO bold as to assasinate Governors for the thrills.

Killing them is essential to keeping our system free of terror...barring Avernus's Psyker prone population but that's been handled mostly well.

[X] Dispatch 50 Governor's Own to guard each of our surviving Lieutenant-Generals.
[X] Have the Phase-Tigers infiltrate our camps from the outside so we can learn what holes are in our defences. Tell the troops what we're doing so they don't accidentally shoot them.

You know, I just had a thought. How terrifying would Avernus be for a Dark Heresy party? I mean even what would be Scum on other worlds are incredibly intelligent, battle-hardened, and can bench press a car unaugmented.

True. One possibility that occurs to me might be nano-augmentations similar to Deus-Ex augs.

This has nothing to do with what we're currently voting for.

The bonuses on the dark eldar are ridiculous.

After seeing our forces inflict 1:20-1:30 casualties against the orks, it's really depressing.
