I feel ok with both of the plans.
I would also like to add to this explanation of why being vengeful is not that bad in a medieval Queen, is that being vengeful is not the same as being petty. Yes, a lot of times people who are vengeful are also petty but they are not the same thing.
We are being vengeful of the people who are trying to deny our just inheritance and right to be the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms and we will have very clear target´s to our machination and royal censure. We know that the realm is going to have a civil war as soon as Viserys dies. We know that with Aegon being born the realm will divide itself on at least two faction that will be vying for the control of the kingdom. We will be heading one of these faction as we are the main claimant to the Throne. We can be vindictive, we will have lot´s of Lords, Knights and Ladies that we will be able to punish without any stain on our conscience.

With the consensus on more stress management going forward, I looked back effect of Relax action, and any action that reduce stress we have available consistently. Thanks to @Azel and his diligence tracker that ease looking up past actions. The results are interesting.
1. We never take Relax actions. We never knew how effective it was before we decided to reduce its effectiveness with Diligent Trait.
2. Our consistently available Stress-reduction action is Harp playing which reduce -2 in T13 when we first learnt it and -10 in T17 which stress reduction probably combined with Alicents Date.
3. Main bulk of our stress reduction have been from relaxing social interaction (eg: Talking with Alicent and spilling our dream to Syrax) and picking stress reducing options in sub turn which often were relaxing social interactions but the rest often were being vindictive to our enemy.
4. An interesting and significant source of stress reduction have been achieving our goal of becoming a Knight.
So yeah either we need to consistently fulfill our goals, constantly playing harp (Rhaegar-maxxing), frequently goes on date and friendly day out, or do something the Thread never done before by Relaxing. Or with vindictive near winning being shit to our enemy.

Also doesn't need to be a direct strike it can be shifting things so the target lands on thier face according to their own actions. As others pointed out its ye olden time so as long as said vindictiveness doesn't become Rhaenyra's only focus in life she should be on the whole be fine.

Another fun fact about our stress. A lot of it were the effect of us doing exposure therapy with babies and their homophobic step-mother. The total stress we accumulated from intentionally interacting with Johanna (+37) is even bigger than killing our first human being (+30).
@Teen Spirit May I ask was our confrontation with Johanna after Small Council part of our action of meeting with Johanna? Or is it inevitable if we are in King's Landing and Johanna birthed Aegon II?

Then at least our attempt to befriend baby that can not talk yet didn't give us extra +18 stress because oh Geez will that be even funnier. Thankfully it net into +12 stress after we defiantly stress Johanna homophobic ass instead.
Having the servants of the Red Keep report on what Johanna is up to sounds like a good investment. There's a lot of good will there and definitely more of them then there are Westerling servant. Maybe talk to Harold he's probably having a terrible time, ask him how he's holding up.
Johanna yelling to stay away form her and her kids are a good excuse to stay away. Visery can't complain about not being a happy family when she was directly and loudly told to stay away.
About the only time I can see the kids running into Rhaenyra when not at an official event would be the dragon pit. Of course that may take a good while since traditionally it's the eldest siblings that chooses the cradle eggs for the younger ones. I don't see Rhaenyra doing that, Visery wouldn't think of it and the Westerling don't know how eggs or dragons are bonded to their riders or the traditions around them.

We shouldn't stay away forever. In perhaps six or a little more years or so the kids will start being their own people we can actually interact with. In prep for that we should talk with Harold and Viserys about not letting Johanna completely block our access to our siblings so Rhaenyra can be an awesome big sis and make sure they don't grow up afraid of her.
And also reassure Harold we absolutely have no intent of harming them or even sending Aegon away to the wall or citadel or such, unless that's what he chooses for himself.

Frankly I just want to have a thing to do in Spicetown, I actually would like to do the same for Poetry, but such wasn't an option because we're not confident enough in it yet, but I'd still be glad if we worked on our Poetry like the currently leading plan.
Also I'm not a fan of wrathful, Vindictive makes more sense of the "negative" traits we have an option to gain right now, though I assume they can also cause Stress, just like any trait, which is why I wouldn't mind going the hard path of selecting neither, but one need not be morally perfect in all things, even if we want to be a just Knight, the conflicts within ourselves can only make us a better knight when we do resist them, but juicy when we don't.
