But Helaena will probably have beef. Lots of beef. Maybe not as much as Rhaenyra unless she takes after her elder half-sister in diligence and martial interests in addition to being a giant,

I strongly suspect that Qoren's going to be putting in a good faith effort to sweep Rhaenyra off her feet (metaphorically if not literally, dunno if he's got the upper body strength to catch her if she swoonsAs an aside, I like the symmetry of having a Mandatory Alicent Conversation turn immediately followed by a (I assume) Mandatory Qoren Conversation turn. Perfectly balanced. Except for where we're at the "love confession" stage with Alicent and only barely beginning to know Qoren, but that comes with the vast difference in time spent together x)
Yeah, I couldn't remember if it was Sunstone or Sunspear. Sunspear feels a little too on-the-nose, but hey, fantasy writers, go figure.
I think Vindictive isn't going to be so bad on that point, in that it gives us room to be controlled and courteous in the moment and to strike at enemies in a cold-blooded manner after the fact. It's not ideal but it's something. With how generous the Stress gain is compared to the loss, it's inevitable that we'll break the Stress bar at some point, and this is a turn to lose Stress anyway. So I'd rather not get Traits that will only generate even more Stress when we have to hold our tongues in the years to come.
I understand. At the same time, Rhaenyra is in a really difficult situation regarding Johanna and her children. While Johanna's extreme paranoia and plays-for-keeps mentality is doing a lot to make the idea of future conflict/threat between Rhaenyra and her half-siblings prevalent and even inevitable... she's not wrong that Aegon in particular is a threat to Rhaenyra just by existing.Besides that, a protagonist who insults innocent children like this is not someone I can sympathize with.
Has Corlys even done anything to us? Trying to marry Laena to Viserys was creepy but it wasn't really aimed at Rhaenyra except in a hypothetical sense where it would leave Rhaenyra theoretically vulnerable to any male heirs of that union.@Teen Spirit , would Vindictive proc on Corlys, or has he not really done enough to piss her off lately for that to be a problem?
"You've been planning for this since even before Aegon was born!" you spat.
"In the event I gave birth to a boy, I thought it best you were in the city," Johanna explained calmly. "That way we could avoid a repeat of what happened with your uncle last time."
Do Westerosi mathematicians have a concept of dimensions beyond three?
With Johanna being our sworn rival, Johanna wish to isolate her children from Rhaenyra, and Vindictive Rhaenyra in big winning lead; Training Helaena behind Johanna back will be one very relaxing action. But Helaena will probably have beef. Lots of beef. Maybe not as much as Rhaenyra unless she takes after her elder half-sister in diligence and martial interests in addition to being a giant,![]()
Probably not.Do Westerosi mathematicians have a concept of dimensions beyond three?
you're right, those guys were waaay out of line as well, adding to the listMellos, for being the first to suggest the "set Rhaenyra aside and let her be Princess Consort of Dorne" plan (he's dead now). Harold Westerling and Tyland Lannister, for picking up the thread.
Also to Tyland's sins is just being a dismissive tool even before this, not bothering to speak directly to us at the council when we brought up the Vale thing, but yeah that list looks goodyou're right, those guys were waaay out of line as well, adding to the list
Incredible shame that nobody wants to write up a plan including this considering where we are, but I get it. Missed opportunity from not properly managing stress to this point and maybe a lesson for the future in that regard[] [Action] Investigate the Death of King Aenys
Most Maesters and other writers agree that Queen Visenya had poisoned her nephew, King Aenys, to allow her own son to take the throne. But you have already seen how much those same authors were willing to ignore Visenya's contributions and slander her already. Perhaps this is simply another case of slander. If you could prove that, it could improve Queen Visenya's reputation considerably and make a stronger argument for your own eventual rule. On Dragonstone you have access to records of Aenys' reign, perhaps you might find some from his last weeks and days detailing what happened to him.

we WILL be speaking to him when we get back, sounds like a great person to get the lay of the land from (i feel kinda bad asking the Westerling Kingsguard guy, you just know he's sweating 😭)
Surprisingly little direct Stress management, actually. We just have too many things to do at this time. Probably a sign we should take an occasional turn visiting the island in the future!

Because always being the bigger person is 1) Stressful, which eats into our actions and can, if mismanaged, backfire significantly worse than this, 2) boring. Why are people voting to make our MC a significantly worse potential queen?
