[X] Plan Apocalypse Prep
It's not a waste of resources. We're out of time.
We've repeatedly turned down Abraham's magic… and I don't think even Sol alone can learn all four paths on a single action alone, at the eve of the apocalypse - not without a new cost of its own. I thought maybe we can delegate instead and have him focus on his strengths and trust others to pull through.
With the Witches doing the bulk work of transferring over his magics in applicable form there's a good chance the four of Sol's friends could absorb the respective paths - when they have thematic resonance to begin with. So we can be better positioned before the horsemen are online.
Let Sol focus on Architecture and play the Magician like the Magician. The plan guarantees our Horseman counters.
It's a waste of resources explicitly because these things are best delegated. We're not even really out of time, the horsemen aren't likely to assassinate the educator as soon as they're enrolled. Even if they were, a month or so of learning that magic system isn't enough to combat them. Abraham can't even really combat them alone and he's a master of the magic system.
I explicitly have actions in my plan to both awaken Abraham and get our classmates learning his magic. That is delegating. Your plan is micromanaging.
It's pretty much a long shot at this point. Seeing that the time we have is precious I'm making one final addition to Address the Apocalypse Now:
--[] Now that you are True Architect and know the nature of the Adversary contact the Metaphysician again. Hold down the tether of the connection to accelerate his return.
if only to inform Sol's future actions. Maybe waiting and conserving Will is the right call. Maybe the timers tick.. we'll RAFO.
And for all that Sol is growing more and more capable as a chessmaster (and gets more willing to do said chessmastery), I don't think him going full Minority Report on Horsemen is something in-character. More likely he would try to sever them from Antichrist through Connections shenanigans. My assumption on solving the main plot within the next few updates is if we made aggressive measures to handle the horsemen before they are enrolled. Birdsie specified it's only on one very specific path, which I can only assume is rush to ohio and do what we can to prevent enrollment. I avoided making a plan for that because it's both narratively unsatisfying and shortens the quest as a whole. I'd like to interact with the villains as entities rather than preventing them entirely.
I get what you mean but old political racist Solomon image made me laugh. And for all that Sol is growing more and more capable as a chessmaster (and gets more willing to do said chessmastery), I don't think him going full Minority Report on Horsemen is something in-character. A couple belated builds! I've read the lore document for this setting and will try to compartmentalize that knowledge to avoid spoiling anything. But man, if only you all knew how bad things really are.
