Still want to go with Slaaneshi Night Lords, like, we are literally dedicating this Warband to Slaanesh, I really don't see the point of them "desiring freedom" beyond making them equally miserable as Sessetium species, with their hopeless situation of being a God's slave and just wastes the extra traits we could get from the corruption.
Also, can people stop pretending Death Guard are remotely ironic for this? Death Guard were never Xeno murdering specialists. Every Legion was prepared to destroy Alien Civilizations, Death Guard goals never were particulary "anti-Alien" anymore than any other Legion, the fact we are making Chaos Space Marines Warband that protects Aliens, when most Traitors still believe in Human supremacy, just under influence of Chaos as the best survival strategy for Humanity, is already ironic.
And no, there's no certainty that Mortarion foster father was an Alien, it's just as likely Overlords were Humans from Barbarus or somewhere else, or something entirely different.
Some suggested that the Overlords had come from another place and taken up residence on Barbarus, inflicting their callous rule upon the lessers. There were hints they might have once been human – or humanlike – until a change had been wrought upon them in the wake of a cataclysmic pact with a monstrous, unknown power. With the reality lost after thousands of years, the full truth was nowhere to be found.
So there's really nothing ironic in Death Guard, protecting Aliens beyond being Space Marines, as opposed to Slaaneshi Night Lords who would want to protect the Aliens, because they are "innocent" and want to bring justice to oppresors and protect others across the Galaxy.
Also it would fit for another reason, because this Warband would have every reason to see Slaanesh himself as innocent and virtuous being. A Grey Knight when he show Slaanesh thought "There's no way an Dark God is this cute! I can't strike this twink down!" and got enslaved by Slaanesh. Seriously, that's literally what happened.
An intruder can only reach the Palace of Pleasure, in the very heart of Slaanesh's territory, by passing through all six of the circles-an act of will beyond most souls, both mortal and daemonic. One amongst the mortal visitors to his realm still looms large in the memory of Slaanesh, however-a wandering knight of the Adeptus Astartes whose resolve was as strong as silvered adamantium.
An endless beach stretched away from the knight, and heavenly choirs sung soothing lullabies as the perfumed sea lapped at the fortress walls of his mind. The wanderer's bones cried out for rest, even if only for a moment. The warmth of the golden sun above calmed his soul and the tide began to erode his will. His tired eyes could barely stay open, but his vision was still clear enough to see the horrible truth. The bone-white sand was made from the remains of those who had rested here and fallen into a coma of blissful indolence. His resolve hardened, the knight strode on toward the shimmering palace in the distance.
It was there, beneath the elegant spires, that the wanderer came before almighty Slaanesh. Statuesque and divinely glamorous, the deity visited him in the form of a young man possessed of an androgynous beauty-clean limbed and fresh with the vigour of youth. The knight unsheathed his rune-etched sword and made to strike him down. To his horror, he found that he could not, for the god-prince was disarming in his innocence and utterly beguiling in his manner.
Even the purest flame can be extinguished by the tide. In that single moment of doubt, the wanderer was lost. He knelt, bowing his head at last, and a single touch of the being's glowing sceptre on each shoulder sealed his fate for eternity.
So yeah. Night Lords who see themselves as knights, paragons of justice and protectors of innocent and defenseless, actually strive to do it in their twisted and horrific ways, and worship Slaanesh as god of innocence and virtue. Hell, maybe with their positive attitude they will make Sessetium less miserable in their slavery service to Slaanesh.
[] Plan: I desire justice.
-[] Expert Medics: The Sessetium have deployed their skilled medical personnel to aid the Warband, effectively giving them the same benefits that loyalist Apothecaries would normally grant. -[] Night Lords: The drudges of the traitor Legions, the Gene-Seed of the Night Lords, Sons of Curze, mainly grants those with the 'privilege' to bear it an increased skill in terror tactics. And a noted tendency for psychotic conditions, but why would you care about that? The Night Lords do not devote themselves to any of the Great Four, only serving them in exchange for fresh victims to torture and terrorise, but some among them have founded the cult of the Raptor God, a minor God just as sadistic and murderous as His adherents.

Having larger chance of surviving the implamentation procedure, and generally having dedicated medics is useful no matter how you cut it, especially when you are a Traitor Marines Warband.
I agree that the Night Lords are well suited for this role. I just need some hmm... Contrast?
They are inherently quite predisposed to Slaanesh, with all that pleasure in torture and pain, as well as greed, freedom, selfishness. They are inherently compatible with the God of Excess. In essence, this plan will simply return them to the "proper" worldview, with all that protection of the innocent and "justice".
The Death Guard (as I understand it) has never been about the pleasures and selfishness inherent in all followers of Slaanesh. Here I see a Contrast that intrigues me.
Death Guard are just good tanks overall. It's a bodyguard job and Guard is in their name, it's a match made in Warp.
Also the Sessetium use venom weapons, and I like the idea of them firing heavy poison artillery as essentially harmless smoke bombs for the Death Guard on the frontlines.

Once the hazardous environment specialists of the hated Imperium, they now have been adopted by Grandfather Nurgle, their durability raised to unimaginable extremes by His blessings - but Nurgle is a generous God, and will not hold using them for other purposes against you.

-[x] World Eaters (Choose whether or not to include Butcher's Nails): Children of Khorne's Red Angel, when implanted with the Butcher's Nails the World Eaters are a Legion unparalleled in melee battle, but so blood crazed that they tend to be, for a lack of a better descriptor, rather idiotic. Without those cybernetic implants, the World Eaters are noticeably weaker, but they remain potent in melee and seem to form strong bonds with each other. It is they who have been claimed as the foremost servants of the Blood God, though Khorne may be willing to allow the genetic basis of His soldiers to be used elsewhere.
