Terrene Spire - Gently ended.

I think it's the fact that it appears to be something that's not normally considered cutable. Fourth wall breaks like that tend to be clear signs of something being out and away bizarre and out of the ordinary.

They can also be aesthetic and mean nothing, but it's a bit hard to tell with stuff until you get a better handle on the world. Given a lack of context, Messing with intangibles feels distinctly foreboding.

If we run, we will only be hunted down. This path is one of the few we can tread at this point.

I'm pretty sure I wasn't advocating running but since you brought it up... I don't think it's a given that we'll be hunted down. Indeed, There's a fair chance Despair Embodied there will leave us alone to just wreck things.

That Said, I don't think running is a good idea here. It's good to know what we're up against, and if we CAN save Red we absolutely should. And nothing suggests it's impossible right now sooooooooo...

(pssst, guys: is the format going on right now okay? Where the action taken is shown in the battle and with the "combat ticker" instead of just spelled out on top? I mean im still delivering the information, just it being a step more obtuse. I can just add in what action won if its needed.)

It is quite good. I'm hoping this battle isn't going to go 'You are ded. Is no big surprise.' in the next round.
(Re: Scythe possibly being a one-hit weapon)

[X] ACT: Cut his scythe fabulously in twain with your Naginata.
[X] MOVE: Somersault gloriously over him and land gracefully behind him.

I find no fault with this plan.

This just means we need to develop a skill to do maneuvers like that.

[X] MOVE to the side to dodge his attack
[X] ATTACK his scythe as it gets stuck in the ground

This won't work, so says God Dex.

[X] MOVE to the side to dodge his attack
[X] ATTACK his scythe if gets stuck in the ground, ATTACK the lower body if it doesn't
Use his aggression to our advantage.
Edit: Assumptions are dangerous with this thing.
