As it is an Act and there's only one Act per turn, no.

Equipping something puts it into the equipment slot in the Equipventory. It stops it from being able to fly away as it's now borderline suspended inside the inventory, so if it flies away it just goes into that pocket space instead.

The rules of this world are obtuse and stupid. As the request was for what weapon to use back when we chose a few pages ago, it didn't equip the weapon.

This just means the weapon can fly away, like it did when Daeva tossed us. For now, it doesn't serve any other purpose than making it harder to drop said weapon.

Sorry, I am following the rules I set up which are themselves quite stupid.

No self aware RPG world is complete without silly, semi-arbitrary rules that must be adhered to, for good and ill!

Besides, this is actually fairly useful, since it means that being disarmed becomes considerably less inconvenient (and unlikely). It's a learning curve, but it's hardly Dwarf-Fortress obtuse or Dark Souls hard!

2843 I considered saying "Dark Souls Punishing" except then I realized that Dark Souls isn't that punishing, when you get down to it. Well, not super-punishing. Just a little. Point is, this is fine! We aren't even panicking over action economy or anything!

Actually, I just remembered that we have a similar respawn mechanic here! Neat!
