Terrene Spire - Gently ended.

[X] Call out to the crabs. You just want to talk!
[X] Take a quick look at the door. Can it be opened? What's that symbol in the center?
[X] Head on to the village before actually opening the door. Might be some nasty stuff in there, and the village thing sounds like a time-sensitive quest.

Those gems are pretty spooky. The trap theory and the refused-to-die ghosts theory seem reasonable, but they could also be portals created by the Orange ghosts before they were defeated.

[X] De-Ass the area with the quickness!
-[X] Once out of the pit, try to figure out WTF happened.

-[X] And maybe be friends, if that's a thing you can do.
[X] Until they come back (if they come back) go investigate that structure thing to the right.
[X] Then, if they don't come back, head onward to the village.

BRIDGES OVER GREAT BONE SOUPS TELL STORIES OF ANCIENTS ROARING FROM THE PAST

Okay, at some point, we really need to ask one of the Ordgrown what's up with the skeletons.

[X] Matter Mold Naginata.
[X] Approach the battle and try to figure out what's going on.
[X] Offer assistance.

(I was going to say offer assistance to the figures in red, but it occurred to me that just because they're humanoid, doesn't mean that they're good or in the right here. It seems best not to assume. Honestly, I think that they're Ordgrown and okay guys, and the monster is a mindless beast, but just in case...)

[X] Cautiously approach the scene and try to figure out what's going on.
[X] If no one is hostile, inquire about who they are and what they're doing.
-[X] Offer our assistance if there's an immediate concern.

Tentative vote, with a couple of slight modifications from @TrueNeutral's. Namely, I don't think it looks like a battle: it possibly was, but they don't look like they're fighting (possibly killed it, possibly non hostile). Also, that creature looks reminiscent of an Eishalon (the veins mainly I think) so I'd definitely lean towards it being hostile if anything is - it's also possible the red creatures are hostile as well, but that's probably a bit paranoid.

If we possess the phone lines, we'll die again, and the red people might take our stuff.

Switching to this, because No One's vote is better and I think that on closer inspection the monster looks less like a small thing with a large, open mouth, and more like a large thing with its top half blown off.

Personally, I'm not sure that thing is actually alive. The two red figures don't seem to have a very aggressive or defensive stance and my first reaction was that something had burst out of the 'thing'.

Also, I would suggest waiting on creating the naginata, or at least placing it in the backpack so we don't look hostile.

[] Approach the pair in a non-hostile manner without arming yourself. You can pull out the scythe if you don't have time to recreate your naginata and need a weapon in a pinch.

Edit:
[X] Matter Mold naginata and strap it to your backpack.

-[X] Call out and greet them before you reach them if they aren't busy defending themselves so you'll have time to react. If they are, jump in to help them when you can without distracting them too much.

I agree with not looking hostile (and probably it not being alive - definitely doesn't look like a fight to me), but you can do that reasonably effectively with a pole weapon (minor tangent - anyone got an idea of a weapon they'd like to try? Though I'm not sure if we can create any weapons that differ mechanically at the moment) - just hold it like a walking staff. Considering the potential dangers of this place, I don't think these guys would begrudge us a weapon, as long as we don't do something like stick it in their faces.
Also, I'd prefer not to attack anyone with the scythe unless we're either a. desperate or b. pretty certain that we know nothing bad would happen, and Matter Molding takes a turn.

True. Part of the reason I want to call out to them before we reach them is so we'll have time to recreate it if they turn out to be hostile, but even if we matter mold it I would prefer to strap it to our backpack just in case they spot us while we're doing it.
