I just love seeing Gjallarhorn getting humiliated.

Either the villain factions of Super Robot Wars pity Rustal and his cronies or laugh at them.

Or even both at the same time.

In addition there are other factors to consider

- Out of the very tiny fleet Nergal has offered they've lost less than 5 Aestivalis
-We are continually getting reinforcements to the battlefield ranging from the GNX's,Jegans and VF fighters while Gjallarhorn has only this one big push.
- Most of the attrition Gjallarhorn is taking and giving involves the EF reserves while leaving our Vanguard forces intact.
-Said 'obselete' troops are causing significant issues due to Gjallarhorn fighting like OYW battles(high melee and huge concentration of force) negating their advantages against modern troops.
-In addition whatever reservist training they had is probably easy large set piece battle stuff Gjallarhorn loves that tries to conserve expensive ammo like beam weaponry.
-To even clown on Gjallarhorn even worse the fact is that the reserve fleets they're pounding will probably demobilize after this battle so the greatest receiver of damage is primarily the obselete force that won't participate in the EF civil war or anything short of 'FIRE EVERYTHING!' levels of danger.

And Gjallarhorn still haven't learned their lesson to stop charging recklessly and dodge enemy beam attacks after seeing their comrades die in explosive deaths.

Most of the beam weapons we have aren't doing anything to their units, we have not had it established what really works out side of a few things. I any also a little confused as to how we are losing more Barzam then fucking Leo's of all thins since Barzam are a lot better units then Leo's but we really bleed a after action report after this fight.

Considering those units arrived late to the fight I don't think they should any be any better versus a Graze then say a Barzam. Both suits should kick the crap out of a Graze when it comes to things like armor and Rector out put.

March UE 0084
Outskirts of L4

Gaelio Baeduin roars as the Kimaris Vidar's lance is destroyed by a salvo of bullets and missiles from the Heavyarms Custom.

He barely has time to draw the Kimaris Vidar's sword to parry a blow from the Sandrock Custom. Quatre presses against the Kimaris Vidar before kicking the enemy Gundam away.

Before Gaelio can consider his next plan of attack, he sees the Wing Zero aim the Twin Buster Rifle at him and realizes he's lost. With how much damage the Kimaris Vidar has taken, not even Ein's brain in the Alaya-Vijnana Type E will let him evade in time.

"I should have made it clear I was on your side, McGillis. Maybe then, we could have changed Gjallarhorn together..." Gaelio laments before the Twin Buster Rifle's beam consumes him and his Gundam Frame.

Julieta Juris blinks blood out of her eyes as she fires the last of the Reginlaze Juliet's vulcan rounds at the Altron Gundam in a vain attempt to ward it off.

Wufei responds by smashing her mobile suit with the Altron's Dragon Fangs, the force of impact causing Julieta to slam her head against main monitor.

As she raises the Reginlaze Julia's remaining arm in an attempt to make a last-ditch attack against the Altron, a Gundam appears out of nowhere and severs it at the elbow with a heat scythe before slamming her mobile suit in the torso with the shaft.

"Where...where did we go wrong?" Julieta wonders out loud.

She realizes she must have accidentally broadcasted on an open channel, because Wufei responds.

"Gjallarhorn lost sight of what justice was long before your time, woman." Wufei says. "You were too star-struck by their leaders to see that."

Julieta laughs bitterly.

"I suppose you're right. What a fool I was." Julieta winces in pain before coughing up blood. "I don't suppose...you'll treat my body with some measure of dignity?"

"At the very least, we won't autopsy your corpse. Whether or not we bury it in an unmarked grave or cremate it isn't our decision." Duo Maxwell says.

"Good...enough...for...me..." Julieta sighs before closing her eyes, the last of her life leaving her body.

Rustal Elion is not a happy man.

His Arianrhod fleet is a shadow of its former self, he's lost his two most capable pilots, and replacing the lost equipment and personnel will take a long time without resorting to the haphazard flash cloning that the Council turns to whenever volunteers become scant.

And on top of that, he's being yelled at by a higher-up from the Council.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US IMMEDIATELY THAT THE BARBARIANS MANIFESTED A COPY OF THE SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO!?" A high ranking official from the Council screeches.

"Because I was never informed of the existence of such! Excuse me for not encountering anything of the like whenever you called upon me to crush an AG calendar dimension!" Rustal bites back.

The Council official sighs.

"We're sending in a high-tier asset. Hopefully, it will be able to take care of the Yamato. If not, well..." The official trails off.

"What makes you so confident that this singular thing you're sending me will be able to solve the problem of a battleship that destroyed 3 armadas you sent after it, utterly dooming the invasion of that dimension?" Rustal asks.

"We're not! But it's the only powerful thing we can send to you on such short notice. Try to keep it in one piece." The Council official says derisively before terminating his end of the connection.

Rustal sighs in frustration before looking out at the Dimensional Distortion coalescing in the center of what's left of his fleet.

On the bridge of the Nadesico, Samsara curses as the Dimensional Distortion clears and disgorges a massive structure.

"What is that?" Yurika wonders out loud.

"It's massive!" Minato comments.

"Think of it as a self-propelled Colony Laser, only bigger, more powerful, bristling with defense guns, and an energy shield capable of letting the vessel use itself for a colony drop and come out intact." Samsara says before putting a finger to her ear. "Okita."

"We see it. Tell everyone to get clear." Okita says.

Aboard the Yamato

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ux-FamCKMs

Captain Okita sighs as he gazes upon one of many monuments to the Council's sins.

"Prepare to fire the Wave Motion Gun!" Okita orders.

"Roger, turning bow toward the target!" Kodai says.

"Opening circuits! Force injector activating!" Tokugawa announces.

"Final safety released!" Kodai says.

"Pressure within the Tachyon Particle Chamber increasing!" Nanbu reports.

"Target scope, open! Bow is now in firing alignment!" Kodai reports as an aiming mechanism resembling a handgun and a screen pop up on his console.

"Anti-shock and anti-flash defenses!" Okita orders.

Everyone on the bridge dons protective goggles while the viewports of the bridge dim.

"Video cross-gauge brightness 20, sights fixed!" Kodai reports.

"Firing countdown: 3, 2, 1!" Nanbu counts down.

"Wave Motion Gun, fire!" Okita orders.

"Fire!" Kodai confirms before pulling the trigger.

You see the opening in the bow of the Yamato glow bright blue as the space in front of it distorts.

A second later, there's a flash of light so bright that even with the display dimmed, you and Yukari reflexively close your eyes for a second.

When you open them, you see a massive blue beam erupting from the bow of the Yamato toward the Council's self-propelled Colony Laser.

"EVADE! EVADE!" Rustal bellows at the helm officer in panic.

Whatever thrust Rustal Elion's flagship is able to manifest is too little, too late, as it is engulfed in the beam of the Yamato's Wave Motion Gun.

You see the energy barrier around the Council's superweapon flash to life as the beam of the Wave Motion Gun strikes it, and for a moment, you fear that it won't be enough.

You question why you ever doubted less than a second later, as the superweapon's energy barrier fails, and it is engulfed in the beam of the Wave Motion Gun. There is an explosion and a flash of light, and when it clears, the only sign that the Council had ever brought in something so massive are a series of rapidly cooling molten droplets.

What few Gjallarhorn mobile suits and ships are left immediately retreat through Dimensional Distortions.

You lean back in your seat and sigh in relief. Yukari puts a hand on your shoulder, and you take it in your own.

"We did it..." You say breathlessly.

"We did. But it's not over yet, not by longshot." Yukari says sorrowfully.
You nod and clasp her hand tighter.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euRa_DOcFXY

You see the Yamato accelerate and pass by the Rose. A series of some kind of smoke round are fired from the missile launchers on the aft of the ship in a crude salute.

"People of this Earth, we salute your valor and wish you luck in your battle with the Council. Although weapons are not the only way to win a war, against an enemy as vile as the Council, those may be the only way to be free of their menace. This is the crew of the Space Battleship Yamato, signing off!" Okita says.

A Cosmo Zero passes by close enough for you to see into the cockpit, and the pilot salutes you before heading back to the Yamato.

The Yamato itself disappears into a Dimensional Distortion that forms in its path.

As soon as you dock the Rose aboard the Nadesico and get out, you and Yukari are blitzed by Nina and Lucia, who engulf the both of you in tight hugs.

After they let you go, you see Samsara walking toward you.

"Well done." She says.

"I thought you wouldn't have been able to use that body of yours after making a copy of that." You gesture toward outside the ship.

"If you had chosen Zeorymer, I would have arranged for custody of this body while I recovered, but the Yamato was just under that threshold." Samsara explains. "Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to manifest any backup for a while if the Council decides to do something."

"How long are we going to be out to dry?" You ask.

"About 2 months." Samsara states matter of factly.

"What about that Gundam that showed up in Orb?"

"I'm having her guard my central processors in case the Council manages to find my pocket dimension." Samsara explains.

"Fair enough." You say.

You suddenly feel faint and sway a bit. Samsara walks up and lets you lean on her shoulder.

"Let's debrief before getting you girls some rest, hm?" Samsara says in a matronly tone.

RESULTS

Gjallarhorn has been routed.
Rustal Elion, Gaelio Baeduin, and Julieta Juris have paid for the destruction of Tekkadan.
The Council seethes, but requires time to recover from such a significant loss...

Samsara will not be able to provide transdimensional assistance for the next 2 turns!

A/N: Behold, the defeat of Gjallarhorn. When I originally put the choice for the 'solution' for Dainslefs up to vote, I was hoping you'd all pick the Neo Granzon because I had the most metal version of 'return to sender' envisioned. You'd defend the Neo Granzon while Shu figured out a few calculations, then, at the next salvo of Dainslefs, he'd open portals and send every Dainslef projectile back at whatever fired them before throwing a Black Hole Cluster at the enemy fleet. He'd purposefully avoid destroying Rustal's flagship and leave it to the Solar Vanguard to finish him off. Anyway, please discuss and critique!

"I should have made it clear I was on your side, McGillis. Maybe then, we could have changed Gjallarhorn together..." Gaelio laments before the Twin Buster Rifle's beam consumes him and his Gundam Frame.
What could have been indeed. Bael and Kimaris fighting together side by side would have been badass... had McGillis not fixated on believing he can do it alone with the legendary Agnika's Gundam Frame and trusted his allies who wholeheartedly supported him.

On the other hand, Almiria would be conflicted regarding her brother's death when word of Gjallarhorn's defeat reaches Post Disaster dimension. She would be the new heir of House Bauduin and probably the new Montag as there was an official art of Almiria grown up and using a familiar disguise used by McGillis.

This sounds familiar with Mikazuki Augus whose body wasn't seemingly desecrated as Julieta grabbed only Barbatos' severed head to declare undeserved Gjallarhorn victory, allowing Kudelia to recover Mikazuki's corpse and bury him alongside the deceased members of Tekkadan.

At least she finally admitted that Gjallarhorn's way is crap and they've lost badly.

Without the Arianrhod Fleet, Gjallarhorn is now powerless and vulnerable to the Council taking over the entire organization and seizing everything they had for themselves.

"EVADE! EVADE!" Rustal bellows at the helm officer in panic.

Whatever thrust Rustal Elion's flagship is able to manifest is too little, too late, as it is engulfed in the beam of the Yamato's Wave Motion Gun.
Farewell Rustal Elion, you won't be missed. You've met total annihilation.

Well sad we lost the plot of Shu well being Shu Shirakawa in all of his magnificent bastard glory.

But then again the concerns about that guy were decent enough that the yamato won that turn and that well most of the OG games are still untranslated outside of certain stuff so some info is lost, since well those that we knew, he either tends to be an incredible ally or one of the loosest wild cards ever if you find him on a bad day.

On the other hand I was under the impression we would get the normal Granzon and not the Neo, but then again I didn't know at the time the thing was a transformation instead of just being an upgraded Granzon (like a literal separated machine).

Oh well you did a good job with the Yamato, especially sending a mobile colony laser to use the wave motion gun, keep in check that the thing is used under specific cirscunstances only (like one of the angels on V and the invaders warranting that one during the IF ending of V).

Zeorymer I suppose Samsara would be out of comission cause just keeping the damn thing stable would had taken her a toll pass her limits, as mentioned during the turn we choosed these guys, the main weapon is a literal nuke capable of taking out countries and the creator of that thing made so many systems that are just outright broken on that machine.

Then you have the Great Zeorymer but that thing is even more overkill and has only appeared once as a secret for a good reason as it has apart from Zeorymer main attack, it also has all of the other attacks from the hau dragon machines (well not like Zeorymer has appeared more than twice on the games).

Either way this was a good turn.

We should be getting close to the main conflicts on most series by now.

By coming turn I expect that we will reach the climax of some series.

Like by this point we should be getting to now about Debonair existence on Rayearth and the final angel should be coming soon on the evangelion plot and I feel that wafer was warning us to repair the gunbuster for that fight in specific.

After that the MP eva series and probably Kaworu fight should be on order or something like Gendo remote pilotting Unit 13 like on Alpha 3

We are still probably a turn or two from the 00 season 2 ending, but the final battles from SEED should be coming pretty soon alongside Nadesico as we already are pass some key plot points.

Voltes V should be coming to a close soon too as we pretty much derailed a lot of the plot and we should be able to subert some people with Professor Go on our care.

Other than that Koutetsushin should also be coming to a close very soon.

Other than that we should still have some plot left for Full Metal Panic, Getter Robo, Dragonar, Code Geass and this AU of Gundam Wing.

Apart from some loose ends like Doctor Hell escaping during that Mazinkaiser final battle.

I'll press F to pay respects to Gaelio and Julietta, and only them.

It's funny, I was expecting something big and familiar or at least more detailed for the Council's trump card, but no, as it turns it, it just didn't goddamn matter.

Considering their reaction, I really think they just try to avoid dimensions with stuff like the Yamato, zeorymer, Granzon or even more higher tiers like the ideon.

Mostly since I doubt they can really even dent those things so far yet and don't have a definitive answer for them yet.

Like sure the colony laser could dent the Yamato, but it would first need to get pass the wave motion barrier and that thing would probably absorb most of the impact.

Doesn't help that since they continue to canibalize everything they find it is obvious that they are still having trouble with some dimensions and that they haven't found everything they may want yet.

There is also certain stuff hating their guts and not playing ball with them, like Photon energy and I see the same case for stuff like getter rays or spiral energy.

Also I doubt they saw coming that we could detect whatever they were sending and to prepare the WMG before hand just for it.

Was that superweapon Leopard?

No idea what Leopard is, but I just came up with it off the cuff. Originally it was going to be a giant-ass mobile battle station akin to GGG's Orbit Base, but evil, then I decided on the self-propelled Colony Laser (or, depending on your perspective, a dollar-store pocket Death Star).

Now that I squint, is the Leopard from Gundam AGE?

Arianrhod's been going around crushing dimensions

Rustal prefers recruiting to cloning

Council treats the Yamato like a five alarm fire… which Rustal has never been called on to deal with before. Council has means to notice the Yamato's appearance, or something similar.

Rustal had relatively quick turnaround communications with his superiors.

"AG calendar" dimension? "After G_?"

The newest jobber was a high tier asset of the Council, whatever the hell that means (there is a mountain of council jobbers)

Rustal Elion expects to have forewarning of major assets like the Yamato.

3 armadas were deployed to a dimension with Yamato in it, and the Yamato single-handedly ended the war anyway.

"Only thing we can send on such short notice." => They're fighting a war intense enough to actually push them and ration resources. Then again, how the hell are they doing that when they are actually such jobbers?
...surprised no one has picked up on some of the implications of Rustal's conversation with his superior.

I mean the implications are pretty clear.

Rustal was pretty much responsible for many of the AG caldendar invasions ending the cast of Gundam Age.

For some reason the Barbarians mentions is sounding too much like Inspectors talk from the OG side, but that could be me overthinking things.

And yeah they have a track record of losing againt stuff like the Yamato and having some dimensions actually not conquered due to these machines.

On the other hand Flash Cloning.

Flash cloning

Flash cloning is a human medical process most commonly used to clone body parts. Cells used during cloning must be taken from specific regions within the body. The process can be used to create organs, skin, blood, or other body parts needed by...

If I am right, these fuckers have access to Halo Tier Technology, which all things accounted is pretty bad, especially if they can recreate Halo arrays.

For AG Calendar, try Advanced Generation.

As it turns out, the Jenoace is a lot easier to deal with than the Desperado for Post Disaster Era mobile suits on account of it:
A) Being armed with an absurdly weak beam gun
B) Its only melee option being a heat...stick, for lack of a better word

Small wonder the Jenoace has such a bad reputation among the Gundam fanbase, even worse than the Leo and GM II.

Whenever the Council invades an AG Calendar dimension, if it's progressed to the 3rd generation, things...tend to not end well for Kio. Remember what Mira's mother said about the Council using acts of mercy and compassion as deception?

For the Council, 'barbarian' and 'inferior' are basically interchangeable.

Also, I think you're reading too much into things extrapolating that they can make a damn HALO.

It might just be that the Council has absolutely baller medical technology. Not once have the copilot girls' cybernetics had to be 'maintained'. Think about that for a sec.

Now that I squint, is the Leopard from Gundam AGE?
It's from Sora wo Kareku Shojo, Brain Colony Leopard
It got antimatter axial cannon, swords for mirrors and tendency for physical violence.

And he's kinda jobber, yeah.

Edit: Either videos are blocked or they are removed from youtube, can't enlighten you.

Oh yeah, Kio the Scrappy main character of 3rd Generation Gundam AGE. The guy who wanted everyone to "understand" even when the enemy keep shooting at his comrades who were dying, and he refuses to realize that constantly.

Kio deserved a Bright Slap from every Gundam main character forming a long line.

Rustal would easily exploit Kio's naivety, reminding him of Tekkadan who are bunch of meddling kids.
