Super Robot Quest G

So, a thought. If we're up against a mechanical dinosaur, we just need to bring out Dinosaur's natural enemies, giant space rocks. I think a meteor themed Super Robot could be quite fun actually.

Well at least the free brothers are buying the trap. Wonder if we can take some of them out of the fight and capture them.

[X] Send in Beowulf.
-[X] Beowulf focuses on Predasaur
-[X] Cavalier and Argonauts focus on dealing with any remaining enemies and capturing any if possible.

I just realized something. We need a prisoner for interrogation and to present to the Inquisitor whenever he deigns to show up. So the group needs to focus on that a bit more than they usually are.

Pure Write-Ins really discourage people from voting don't they?

Just as a reminder, we still have Breakneck, Tracker and Nailhead in play, so Axiom is still an option. On the one hand, he's been deployed before against the Free Brothers, so he's a known quantity, but on the other, for all we know, the Brothers will have to expend the card they'd use against him against Beowulf (and most likely against Fenrir), leaving him free to handle other problems.

So do we want to recommend Axiom back Beowulf up, take care of a target, or hold him back in case the Brothers pull out something else from their afts?

The plan is for Beowulf to distract the predasaur for a few minutes and then transform into Fenrir to really get the brawl going. Once that happens, If it's needed. Axiom will come into play and help beowulf while the rest finish up before also retreating since this scuffle is a literal battle of giants and they would just get in the way.

Nah. It's the Liger-type vs Tyrannosaurus-type rivalry from the Zoids anime franchise.

But for us it's the Wolf-type since our flagship mech is the Beowulf

King Kong vs Godzilla aesthetics also means one day someone from a highly secretive experimental lab needs to create a giant gorilla mech to fight the Kaiju.

at this point in the quest and from what Peters has said. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't already happening somewhere. The DFRI has just been too good at it's job. multiple Super Robots, Dropships, A freaking space Carrier. and a whole lot more has been developed. With a heck of a lot more still to come.

which reminds me, We should plan on building the third dropship within the next full in game year. I'd also like to get started on another Super Robot chassis. The Drill Tank gives me ideas but honestly, something like that would probably just be better off being another piece of armor that can combine with a Super Robot like the Foxhound did during the battle of Brenner.

I should also point out that combat engagements are getting more frequent and we need more weapons to deal with it.

We are refitting a Seeker frame to act as a core unit, though we still haven't fully decided yet what we're going to do with it. Do you mean we need one besides that?

Speaking of, do you think we should research on a long-range Super Robot that could get to engagement zones without needing a dropship? Extra-speedy deployment might mean the difference between victory and defeat in some cases.

As for my vote:

yes, I mean another core unit. It's not like we lack for examples. The increased pace of combat has me wanting to have up to two Core units in some degree of development at the same time but with room to adjust it as things develop. we already know that the Kaiju and the Free Brothers are operating under the sea and in space respectively. So eventually we will need to build Super Robots to battle in those environments. If I could get away with it. I'd take a Dropship and turn that into a Super Robot core. Problem would be figuring out how to do it when we already have so much more to do with already ongoing projects.

Then there's my end goal plan of taking one of the Iowa sisters and turning it into a space going battleship that can rival the Space battleship Yamato with it's wave motion gun. There's a reason why I keep stressing that we need more dropships of our own for our increasing super robot fleet and their platoons as well.

Beowulf has it's own dropship now while Perseus is waiting on it's dropship to finish building. Which means that Thunderbolt is waiting for it's dropship to be built whenever the DFRI gets around to it. Mind you there's no need right now but I'd like to get it built sooner rather than later so that we can avoid what happened at Yukimura when we almost lost the Pegasus when we sent it into combat to defend the institute.

Ichiro might get a Dropship or might not depending, It's still too soon to know what will happen with the Seeker core if it is going to get a dropship and platoon of it's own. Basically every Super Robot that gets a platoon assigned to it will have a dedicated Dropship to ferry them about to various trouble spots to deal with.

The Predasaur might be better off as a dropship after we attach rockets and wings to to it considering it's already a troop transport for Drones.

It'd also upgrade from a dinosaur to a dragon too. And we can ram it into stuff at ludicrously high speed if so.
