Strange Aeons: A 40k Xeno Governor Quest

1) Your private army could with full gear reach Average Solar Aux, but due to gear limitations they are hard capped at High Imperial Guard. Once you buy up the current listing, and reach out beyond Erimyst you can start getting Solar Aux gear for them to bring them to Peak Solar Aux level.
2) The Void Forest is rather unknown for what it would do in an actual fight, but the reports Atraxas has suggests that its within the range of High Imperial Guard to Mid Solar Aux.
I see I see. And does the favor version of healing them up also cost an action? I assume we have enough AdMech favor to cover the cost but I'm not sure if I'll need to knock down another Gellar roll.

The usage of Favor or Wealth in the case of the army makes the upgrade a Free Action regardless of how many things you buy/get for them in one turn. If you bought everything barring the superheavy power armor that would cost around 40 Favor or 5000 wealth, the superheavy power armor would spike it into the 100s for Favor and ten thousands for wealth.

Very cool. I've added that to my plan and, due to the estimation and my own hopes that trees are too dumb to have a skilled commander, have assigned both Erana and Nameria to the fortifications.
Does Nameria add her Faith considering that these are specifically anti-Chaos fortifications, or does their multi-purpose nature leave her at her base Martial?

At her base martial for this but to be fair she has a base of 20 martial so she is no slouch in the matter. She adds Faith for direct combat, as a hero unit but not as a commander or engineer. Its just basically how Sisters of Battle are trained, they are meant to be the vanguard, not engineers.

So that trait is meant for duels.
Pretty much and for just general combat with other Sisters of Battle. Generally their training assumes that they are marching as a coherent force, so they count more as a Dueler Force rather than discrete duelers with how I handle them. Its one of the many many edge cases that the combat system has due to how the setting is being configured for the quest.

In short their purpose on a battlefield is to strike hard and fast against discrete elites that are out of reach of their allies, instead of fighting with the more average/typical forces. Its a bit of a wonky situation I will admit, but Nameria's traits make her very good at fighting Chaos Champions and higher far above her expected level even without allied Sisters.

Edit: Just to make this very clear, Favor/Wealth for the private army stuff does NOT null upkeep costs.

Cool. Does her base 20 martial let her equip the god gun (it's somewhat unclear if the requirement is >20 or >=20) and, if not, can she equip it during anti-Chaos operations.

She can equip Araahal, for the record Harkar can also use Araahal due to a hidden trait of her's that is not known in character yet, but is not a secret due to me mentioning it over on a discord.

Harkar has the following trait below. This is currently unknown in universe due to Harkar never doing ship command yet, but will become known the first time she does.
Admiral Exemplar: can only roll 30 below opposing foe, critical failures negated, rolls separately against all admirals arrayed against her, considered to have base of Tier 4 Martial when commanding ships (25), rolls Best of 2 for all naval fights, gains a degree of success the turn after her fleet takes a wound, doubles the effective wounds of her fleets

I figured she'd have something like that given her other naval trait. Very good though.

If all that's needed in this turn to get the shields ready with time to spare is doing the Assault and the Calculation Heart now, then I could just drop the PDF training and maybe Atraxas' role in the Fortifications for the Assault and then we get the best of both worlds since I'm already doing Calculation Heart, though I can't find where the DC for the void forest is so maybe it won't be doable in one turn anyway, which I suspect would throw a spanner in the works of your plan. However, that still doesn't resolve the question of this generating a ridiculous amount of Suspicion as I mentioned. I am willing to take some hits of that, but I don't like taking hits where we can't actually account for them. The actions to build all of these do not yet exist and that consequence can't be measured.
Now that the suspicion is confirmed at 20, is this offer to clear the Forest and build the core still available?

It might be better to wait a turn till the army has its new gear to make sure they win.

The Fortifications should handle that
I you do want to spend that much i recommenced this instead
25 Super Heavy Tanks,
10 Armored Vehicles,
50 Heavy Armor,
Powered Armor (Resources: 500. Upkeep: 150 Military Services. DC: 200)
25 Aerospace Fighters,
50 Orbital Insertion Pods,
10 Bolters,
25 Plasma,
25 Grav,
30 Melta,

25 Power
270R per turn in upkeep

5R less but i think power armor would be of more use then 5 weapon types and Orbital Insertion Pods

It is, lemme just confirm one thing first.

@Leon12431 What would Assaulting the Void Forest with the Private Army entail? Considering it is a significant obstruction to reaching a black hole, I assume it's pretty sizeable, but our fleet is noted to be small. Would ground combat so to speak actually be able to affect the result?

Edit:
You could send the Corps Fortuna.
I was under the Impression that the Corps Fortuna was our Private Army, or at least was the origin of it.

I would disagree about the Orbital Insertion Pods, but that's fair. Though I assume power armor would be the biggest cost increase to AdMech Favor and I still need enough for my plan for the Data Retrieval.

right now, due to the various sizes and disparities. It would in fact be a primarily ground campaign. I would highly suggest getting power armor at the very least for the private army if you want a reasonable purging time. Also the scale of the fight depends on your mission objectives, do you want to just remove enough of the forest to enable the construction of the core/chamber and in the future the force, or do you want to cut away the forest such that its no longer a noble threat, or do you want to exterminate it.

The problem with getting all those things for our private army is that is gonna raise our upkeep by a lot, we are gonna need to raise our income so that we are at least in the black and not in the red each turn

Getting more gear for your private army is actually nulled due to the sector having pegged Atraxas as a Reclusive Hermit. Your inward focus for the previous turns is helping you here, since no one really cares if you are oppressing your people.

True. I have been considering making the black hole facility a wellspring instead of a phasic forge for its third upgrade. Considering that an Imperator powered Wellspring would produce 5x as much Resources as an Imperator powered Meta Forge would produce Alloys, I'd estimate the low end of black hole production at 4k-40k and the high end at 20k-200k, depending on the exact conversions.

I will confirm right now to prevent any future issue of miscommunication from throwing a wrench into things that yes a wellspring produces a ton of base resources, no it does not produce that much resources.

You can expect around 10k to 40k resources from a Wellspring built around this black hole.

Well with all that in mind I'll make the last edits to my plan then.

Edit: @The Froggy Ninja How does it look to you now then?
Looks mostly fine, though you forgot to move Atraxas and the Private Army off of Fortifications so that's doubled up. Also, may I recommend swapping spending Admech favor on a ship to send home for the second mission tier for a single AP Personal Vessel action, which will get 50-100% of the same favor at less suspicion and also finishing the Noosphere mission?
