[] Golem - Heavy Tank
-[] Image
-[] Role: Heavy tank
-[] Propulsion: Quad Tracks
-[] Weapons: 1xBattecannon, 1xHeavy Bolter, 2xLascannons
-[] Lore: The Golem Heavy tank is designed to replace the venerable Leman russ, Fulfilling a Similar role as the Cornerstone of a defensive lines, Or the smashing Hammerfist of the armoured core. Maintaining a similar weapon layout to the leman russ, The Golem's high vantage point gives the Battlecannon a powerful vantagpoint, Reahcing up and above the defensive lines and any fortifications.
This, Combined with the bulky, Slanted lay out of it's foreward facing allows the Golem to Sit on a defensive line, Providing Withering Anti-Armour and Heavy firepowe, while acting as a movile fortification for freindly forces, Shielding its allies with its massive bulk and slanted face.

[] Catacomb Medium tank
-[] Image
-[] Role: Medium Tank
-[] Propulsion: Tracks
-[] Weapons: 1xBattle Cannon, 3xHeavy bolters
-[] Lore: Designed in the spirit of the venerable Malcador, The Catacomb is heavily based on the ancient tank, a Small force of which happened to be located on the station during the uprising after a warband sent them for repairs that they were unable to do. While lacking the STC to make more tanks like the malcador, The tech priests have taken many lessons on what, and what not, to do from the venerable tank. While outwardly presentinglike a castle wall on treads, the Catacomb's decrative stone facade armour belies its durability, providing a large amount of rokm in the front of the tank. this extra space renders the catacomb a rather versatile tank, enabling production of a similar variety of patterns as the original leman russ. During its first deployment, the catacomb of course lacks this backlog of flexable variants, and was deployed with the venerable combo of Battle cannons and heavy bolters, Forgoing the Heavy stubber of its typical imperial counter part through the use of its ample internal space.

[]Morrigan Light Tank
-[] Image
-[] Role: light Tank
-[] Propulsion: Tracks
-[] Weapons: 2x lascannons, Armiger single direction Ion shield
-[] Lore:
A strange looking tank, The tank harkens back to the Space marine's pauldron with its own Pauldron on its turret. in truth, This "Pauldron" Is an attempt to copy the karnivors ion shields unto a different platform. Power hungry and Heavy, The Morrigan focuses almost all of it weight around carrying this ion shield, using the renewable Nature of the Ion shield to act as both hit and run tank through its large, High Mounted tracks and cab, and ambush specialist, Owing to its guns hiigh vantage point allowing the tank to sit nearly hidden behind cover and fortifications while delivering its Lascannons fury.

[] Padfoot Heavy Urban walker
- [] Image
- [] Role: Heavy Specialist
- [] Propulsion: Spider legs
- [] Weaponry: 1x Demolisher cannon, 1x grenade launcher, 2 x flamers
-[] Lore: Initially conceived to dominate Ork towns and converted human residences that couldn't just be deleted from the face the planet, The Padfoot Soo found life as a heavy Combatant designed to dominate close quarter constructions, Such as hive cities, regular cities and Heavy Forested areas through the use of its Demolisher cannon and flamers, enabling it to destroy other wise stubborn Foxholes and gun nests swiftly.

@HeroCooky Is the Morrigan a valid Tank, Might be stretching a bit, but I figured I would Try, Because the idea fit the art.

[] Angel Medium Walker
-[] Image
-[] Role: Specialist AA Tank
-[] Propulsion: Spider Legs
-[] Weaponry: 4x Autocannons
-[] Lore: Designed as an all terrain solution to the problem of Anti-air, The Angel was designed under the premise that it would never match the near dirt-cheap nature of the Chimera based Hydra, As such, the Angel is designed to fulfil a pair of Different niches. It does this Through its Automaton legs allowing it an even wider amount of terrain traversal compared to the chimera, already noted for its also terrain nature, Allowing it to go in some of the few places that the Hydra cannot. In addition, The Angel mounts heavier armour, Allowing it to serve as both as anti-air, and Turn its Autocannons upon Infantry and heavy infantry targets, Serving to Help clear hordes upon hordes with its Dangerous autocannons when enemy air support is not in desperate need for killing.

I know and I think the spider tank is to niche to take the light tank spot. A high speed anti grav tank that can snipe would cover more bases.
Spider tank isn't too niche for a light tank equivalent. For a heavier vehicle sure, using spider limbs would probably limit its speed and options but for a light tank meant to be relatively low to the ground, it wouldn't be a bad idea. It would be an all-terrain vehicle just like the Sentinel or Heavy Sentinel. The only Imperial light tank I know of is the Siegfried which is quite shit and the Sentinel covers the roles that the Light Tank is supposed to cover. Who says that spider tanks are only for urban environments?

Anti-grav would probably be much more complex and would require a lot more sacrifices for lighter vehicles than for heavier ones since the most widespread Imperial antigrav vehicle- the Land speeder, hardly has any armor and has relatively limited weaponry in exchange for their sheer speed.

And the only terrain advantage that anti-grav light tanks would have is being able to skim over open water and advantage in outright open plains. Honestly, fighting in open plains/deserts isn't that dominant that we have to design solely for it.

Their are two others from what I can find, Which is the scylla ... which is just a chimera chassis doing the role, So its probably Insanely Cheap and logistics light, but whether it can back up the role enough to be worth more then just More Leman russ MBT's, is eh.

Then their is the Steg-4 ... So on the nose. Which seems to have seen use during 1 crusade and no where else, so it might have been a matter of what they ould resupply with on the ground to avoid having the whole thing be written off as a resource drain by the admin, then actually a god tank

The Land Speeder IS a light tank, designed for Space Marines, our Space Marine Bro can help us with the best way to operate it. You can have a very for our Space Marines, and a version for the little people that can add more weapons/armor/speed. Though as a light tank it's supposed to be lightly armored, and just not get hit.

Anti-grav isn't a hover craft, it doesn't hug the ground. It's much more like a Starwars land speed in that it can lift off the ground some tens of meters. Otherwise it's useless.

The Plasma Destructor is a Titan-size weapon. It cannot be mounted on a Tank.

The plasma cannon that the Leman Russ Exicutioner mounts in its turret is, unfortunately, also called a Plasma Destructor. I probably should have specified, I meant the tank-sized cannon, not the Titan-sized one. My apologies.

Edit: Or at least it's called that on the wiki that you linked, Lexicanum calls that weapon a Plasma Destroyer. Changing.

So what tech level are we working with here?
High Imperial. The second Highest you can reach, under Advanced.

Remove the Ion Shield and it'll work. Or make it a heavy.
None needed. Just add (Tank Variant) to the weapon and you'll be golden.

[X] Firefly Light Hovertank
-[X]
-[X] Role: Light Tank
-[X] Propulsion: Hover
-[X] Armanents: x1 Autocannon, x3 Multilaser turrets
-[X] The Firefly is meant to be a skirmishing IFV and what it lacks in armor, it makes up for with the ability to turn infantry and light armor to mulch.

For heavy tank, here's a suggestion:

[] Gallant Heavy Tank
-[]
-[] Role: Heavy Tank
-[] Propulsion: Tracks
-[] Weaponry: Battlecannon, Co-axial Multi-las, 1x Heavy stubber (pintle mount) 1x Heavy Flamer (front), 2x Heavy Bolters (side-mounted), Smoke launchers
-[] Lore: Designed to be the main heavy tank of the Federation, the Gallant Heavy Tank is a large tracked vehicle with strong armor and a number of weapons. Its main gun is the venerable Battlecannon, a powerful anti-vehicle weapon. Backing this up is a number of various lighter weapons such as the coaxial multilas meant for shredding infantry and light vehicles. The Gallant is the heavy, sturdy spearhead for its compatriots. It is also equipped with smoke dispensers to provide line-of-sight cover against enemy targeting.

-[X] Lore: Designed as a Centerpiece Tank, The Morrigan is the first attempt to mount the Karnivores Single Directional Ion Shield on a new, non-bipedal Platform. To make space for the Ion shield, The heavy morrigan Wields a Weapon set more in common with the MBT of the Imperium, The leman russ. Instead, The Heavy tank while not a true super heavy, Makes up for this lesser Weapon load out with heavy armour and a Space marine-esque paldron on its turret, Which in truth is the Ion emitter for the shield. for SPG i suggest the swiss RCH 155

it has a 2 person crew
i like them wheels,it can drive and fire,it has a hunter killer mode (where driver can look around and adcquire targets for the gun indepedently of the gunner, esentially looking at 2 directions at any time and targetting multiple foes at a same time)

can also be used remotely without any crew

the aesthetics and capabilities are on point

I'd like a Medium Tank with missiles, grenade launcher, and especially mortars. Either wheeled or antigravity. Built for speed. Best use is uneven terrain that it can zip around out of sight and unload on targets without being targeted. Never being too close . Think Star wars Hailfire droid but way smaller wheels and much more nimbler.

...why would you want to waste our medium-tank slot on a vehicle with the weapons and mission profile of a light tank/tank destroyer/Mortar Carrier?

That's a light tank's job. A medium tank is going to be in near the thick of things and needs to be able to take some amount of punishment. Not being a zippy little shit that gets torn apart if anything near its weight class looks at it.

Okay, so here's my three designs. One is a all-terrain spider tank that basically takes the role of the Sentinel walker, and the other is a Malcador/Macharius equivalent. The last is a self-propelled artillery

[X] Anansi-type Light Walker
-[] Anansi Image Link
-[] Role: Light Tank
-[] Propulsion: Spider-limbs
-[] Weapons: 1x Lascannon, 2x Light Multilas
-[] Lore: The Anansi is the Federation's answer for the need for mobile skirmishers, urban combat, and recon vehicles. A squat, spider-like vehicle with four limbs, the Anansi's closest Imperial counterpart would be the Heavy Sentinel walker. Equipped to be able to have limited supply needs, the Anansi is equipped with laser weaponry to allow it to be ammo independent. Its limbs can allow climbing on steep surfaces and for vertical movement, the Anansi has a pair of wire anchors to allow it to grapple its way up to higher locations to flank heavier opponents in rough or urban terrain. Its speed and mobility is its main protection, with its armor being thin compared to medium tanks.

[X] Gallant Heavy Tank
-[] Gallant Image Link
-[]Role: Heavy Tank

[X] Archer Self-propelled Artillery
-[] Archer Image Link
-[] Role: Specialist Mobile Artillery

-[] Lore: A heavy-tracked mobile artillery unit, the Archer is a vehicle meant to provide the fearsome power of the Earthshaker cannon in a mobile, protected package. The design is dominated by the main artillery cannon, but it also possesses three independent multi-las gun turrets to protect itself against infantry and light vehicles.

Also approval voting:

[X] Angel Medium Walker

[X]Morrigan Heavy Tank

Because this *is* a good design. Though it doesn't have much of a anti-tank punch unfortunately.

@BigBadBob7070 I'd like to point out that IFVs usually carry infantry. It is an Infantry Fighting Vehicle. What you want to call your hover tank is a light tank I think. Unless you want to split its role into being both a hover light tank and an infantry carrier?
