[] [Faith] An Invitation To Preach
The Van Zandt Free Duchy has, after intense internal deliberation, chosen to extend an offer to the Glimmering Federation; that of allowing our preachers to carry with them the word of the Star Child to their people. Absolutely a result of the shattering of Stagelight and the end of the Cult Wars with the very evident intervention of the Star Child's Still-Unborn-Might, alongside our relations having vastly improved over the centuries. To not accept would be foolish.
(Gain: Sanctioned Star Child Cults within the Van Zandt Free Duchy.)

LETS

FUCKING

GOOOOO!!

And now that the Cultist Wars have ended............DICONATE WAR NOW!!!

Planers, I beseech thee, add in an operation to attack the heathens of the Diconate, speak with the Shipwrights if you must, but the Dogmatic sycophants in the south MUST BE CRUSHED!!! ONLY THEN SHALL OUR SECTOR BE FREED FROM BOTH THE CHAINS OF CHAOS AND THE CORRUPT DOGMATICS OF YESTERDAY!!! TO WAR!!!!!

I think we need to modernize our ground forces. The QM did more or less blatantly say they needed some improvements.

Our Soldiers need better equipment yes, i'd recommend doing all three types (Experimental, Logistical and Novel) maybe some stuff for ground vehicles as it looks like our Knight Orders need time to rest and recover. maybe build some God Machines to make use of some more of them in the meantime.

We definitely need to improve our ground forces. Our remaining major threat is the Tyranids more than likely. We need to get our ground forces improved because even with our powerful fleets we won't be able to stop the sheer number of 'nids from slipping past to our planets eventually.

-[] New Generation Ground Vehicles (0/1)
(Gain: Massively Upgraded Ground Vehicles)
Considering the fact that voting opens at midnight for me...
Can we please get these, as Ancient One, Picio, and SteelWriter77 said, our ground forces need an upgrade, and we've been using thousand-year old vehicle designs created when we barely had any industry

Gentlefolks,

We got them.

so looking at all the options, i think this list of stuff should at least be considered military wise.

From the Research tab:
-[] New Generation Ground Vehicles (0/1)
(Gain: Massively Upgraded Ground Vehicles)
-[] Novel Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development III (0/2)
(Gain: Infantry Weapons and Armor Upgrades.)
-[] Experimental Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development II (0/1)
(Gain: New Infantry Weapons and Armors.)
-[] Logistical Infantry-Grade Weapons Development III (0/2)
(Gain: Cheaper Infantry Weapons.)
-[] Logicstical Infantry-Grade Armor Development III (0/2)
(Gain: Cheaper Infantry Armor.)

At least this is my thoughts, getting a new upgraded in the three weapons and armor categories, then new Ground Vehicles

Then looking at Construct God-Engines (50x Grandis (0/1), 30x Modeste Immensus (0/2), 10x Immensa Immensus (0/2). I think any of these could work while the bigger ones are a larger investment. And we already have a fair number of the Larger end, get a good number of the smaller ones to supplement a turn of rest from our Knights.

Edit: If i had to put which of the three categories in a list, it'd go 1) Experimental, 2) Logistical, 3) Novel. If we had to pick anyway. As for the God-Engines, i'd prefer choosing the Grandis, larger number of the smallest of them yes, but you can't build an army only on Big Units.

Ok, as far as I see it it's very important to do the missionary action. Then we've got a Cry for the Future action that I'm less sure about. We could really start paying down the expansion tax, that will get us more stuff sooner.

[] Plan: Assume the Missionary Position
-[] [General] Integrate The New Territories (6/17)

-[] [Free] Consecrate In Sacred Sand (Alatre's Home)
-[] [Free]
Leave the choirs as they are.
-[] [Faith] An Invitation To Preach
-[] [Faith] Monuments For The Fallen

-[] [General] Integrate The New Territories (7/17) (Cry for the Future action)

Or, we could just go in hard on modernizing our ground forces, and get the faith action along the way:

[] Plan: Prepare For Ground Warfare
-[] [General] Integrate The New Territories (6/17)

-[] [Free] Consecrate In Sacred Sand (Alatre's Home)
-[] [Free]
Leave the choirs as they are.
-[] [Faith] An Invitation To Preach
-[] [General] Research: (1 action + 1 glint of Genius action)

--[] New Generation Ground Vehicles (0/1)
--[] Experimental Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development II (0/1)
-[][General] Research: (1 action + 1 glint of Genius action) (Cry for the Future action)
--[] Novel Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development III (0/2)

or we could go balls to the wall and do 5 psyker actions (because Class is in Session means 2 actions turns into 5) and have 2 flex actions. I don't have it in me to figure out all of the songs/symphonies etc we could do, but that turn would look like this:

[] Plan: We Will Become the Image of a Modern Psychic Major General
-[] [General] Integrate The New Territories (6/17)

-[] [Free] Consecrate In Sacred Sand (Alatre's Home)
-[] [Free]
Leave the choirs as they are.
-[] Psykana action 1 (new symphony?)
-[] Psykana action 2 (More melodies?)
-[] Psykana action 3 (Class is in Session bonus 1) ???
-[] Psykana action 4 (Class is in Session bonus 2) ???
-[] Psykana action 5 (Class is in Session bonus 3) ???
-[] [Faith] An Invitation To Preach (Cry for the Future action 1)
-[] [General] Research: (1 action + 1 glint of Genius action) (Cry for the future action 2)

--[] New Generation Ground Vehicles (0/1)
--[] Experimental Infantry-Grade Weapons and Armor Development II (0/1)

That last research action could also be swapped out for the monument action or the cultural cross-harmonization. I'm split on how important that is.

Is singing Grand Design a Psykana action? Because I really want those Vehicles to be as good as possible given how long we've waited/how much our tech has improved.

If we wanna go balls out, we can Sing Grand Design, and then also clear out all the unsung Melodies (there's 9 of them: Revenant, Slumber, Plants, Hunger, Comfort, Revenge, Retribution, Clockwork, and Candle) (also Mercy ought to be 3 I think?) and get a 3 more to 3 in 3 Actions, leaving 2 to spare.

We've let Revenant sit for a *long* while, so I'm pretty curious on what's cooking there.

For Symphony candidates, I'm curious on what a Psykana-focused or Faith/Missionary focused Symphony would cook up. Psykana-wise, our Psykana boosters appear to be much stronger, looking at Class, and Faith/Missionary looks good if we want to hit the ground running with Van Zandt.

I'm seeing a startling low amount of war operations in these plans.

Do you guys really want to wait until the Diaconate bust down our metaphorical door because we're anything but Dogmatic 5/5 and not batshit? We need to rush these fuckers Yesterday and relieve the Emergency Coalition, have ourselves a Gondor calls for aid and charge in for our Big Damn Hero Moment.

I mean we are just talking about what weapons and military upgrades to focus on for research, i'm sure the full plans will have stuff being sent to Hollowed Gitsu and helping out the Coalition, plus it is very likely the Shipwright grove will get involved given the Diaconate is expanding towards them.

Personally, my preference is a full war push after we've got our research done. I'd prefer to push for prepwork like we did with the Van Zandts, but our tools for intrigue and resources have severely jumped up compared to when we last did them — get into their worlds, gather intel, prosetylize, and prepare to kill the shit out of their leaders as well. These guys are standard imperium but probably more juiced in some way, so our infiltration playbook ought to be able to get some toeholds, hopefully.

Re: their leadership, it's also noted they've got some Space Marines alongside the SoBs and Priest-Lords. @HeroCooky, do the Lamenters have any recognition of the Marines' colors or whatnot? I figure Chyron ought to have left behind some lore of the other chapters and whatnot, if to say the least "these guys are bad news" wrt Minotaurs, Malevolent, etc much less CSMs.

We might have some options if these guys are Space Wolves, Salamanders, etc.

I mean i'm alright with holding off if we know for sure that the Grove will come into conflict and the Coalition can hold their own with the stuff we gave them. At least hold off for a turn anyway.

We also need to get ready for the war after the war with the zealots. The fanatics are not our true next enemy- because their technology isn't that high- not to mention the kludges that we handed off to the Emergency Coalition worked okay enough to keep them from running roughshod over the Coalition.

We need better ground forces to both take and secure the Deaconate subsectors plus prepare for the war against the Tyranids.

Not to say that fighting against the fanatics won't be a pain in the ass- it will be. But we need to keep an eye on the true threat.
